So Sorry for the wait!!

Pt.12

Their parents arrive within twenty minutes; they all rushed over to the front desk demanding to know where their children were. The nurse did her best to calm them down but Amy was near hysterics.

“What happened?! If I find out that you’ve got my baby on some kind of drugs I WILL KILL YOU!!!” Amy yelled at Micheal.

“It’s nothing like that, they just collapsed and wouldn’t wake-up” Micheal explained.

“Well someone better tell me what the HELL is wrong with my daughter or else” Amy yelled at no one in particular.

“Ma’am the doctors are doing all they can to help your children and when they inform me of their conditions I promise to let you know immediately.” The nurse exclaimed trying not to show her frustration.

“Why don’t we go get some coffee while we wait” Jim suggested before Amy could say anything else.

“Yeah you guys go ahead we’ll keep an eye on them until you get back.” Max said to the parents.

Max, Micheal, Isabel and Tess waited for news of how the others were doing while Valenti took the other parents to the cafeteria.

By the time they got back from the cafeteria the doctor came out to talk them about their children.

“Are you the parents of Liz, Maria, Alex and Kyle?” The doctor asked as he approached the group of parents.

“Yes” the parent’s said and nodded.

“Your children are stable for the moment but to seem to have contracted a virus that has weakened their immune system, now we started them on antibiotics and ran a few blood tests to determine what the virus is. I have some forms that I need you to fill out so we can we can figure out how they got the virus.” The doctor explained and gave them the forms to fill out.

“Do you have any questions?” The doctor asked.

“When can we see them?” Amy was the first to ask

“As soon as you like they’re in room 205 but I must ask you to limit it to just family.” The doctor stated. The parents nodded to the doctor and left to go see their children.
“You guys should probably go home and gets some rest you’re gonna have to get up for school in a couple hours, I’ll call you if there is any change.” The sheriff stated as he left to go see Kyle.

“I’m staying Maria needs me” Michael stated to the others.

“We all are staying but it wouldn’t hurt to go home to grab a few things” Max stated

“Yeah okay” Michael agreed.

They headed home to get some stuff so they could stay at the hospital. Max and Isabel told their parents about the others and that they were going to be stay at the hospital.
When they got back it was almost 12:30am and the others condition hadn’t changed and they still couldn’t see them until later in the day.

-9:27am at the Hospital-

Max, Isabel, Tess, and Michael were camped out in the lobby of the hospital waking from the few hours of sleep they had gotten.

“How did you guys sleep?” Jim asked as he came over holding a tray with cups of coffee.

“Okay, ‘bout a few hours, how are the others?” Max asked taking one of the coffees.

“Their still unconscious but stable, visiting hours start at 10am so you go get some thing to eat and then come back to see them” Jim said.

“Well, we talked about and we think that I should try to heal them” Max said in a low voice.

“Just go to the cafeteria and we’ll talk about it later” Jim said as he walked back to the room.

-10:18am-

By the time they visited the others were awake but still out of it. Maria was staring at the ceiling with a vacant expression, her skin was even paler then normal, her lips were pale and cracked and she was covered in a layer of sweat. . It made Michael sick to see Maria’s sparkling green eyes look so lifeless. He walked over to her and sat down next to her bed and took her hand, she looked at him and gave him a weak smile.

“When they woke up they were hysterical, shouting that we were killing them, making things worse. So the doctor’s sedated them” Amy said in low voice as she stroked Maria damp hair.

Micheal looked around the room to see that Alex, Liz and Kyle were the same as Maria but Maria was covered with bags of ice.

“She had a fever and they had to cool her down” Amy said before Michael could even ask the question.

“Is she going to be ok?” Michael asked

“Her fever keeps rising and they don’t know why but if it doesn’t go down soon they’ll have to put in an ice bath” Amy said to him.

“Michael” Maria murmured his name.

“I’m here” he said as he gently squeezed her hand.

“You have to stop them their killing us. It has to happen… can’t fight it… it has to happen. Please stop…I don’t want to die” Maria cried as she griped Michael’s arm with her other hand.

“Maria no one’s trying to kill you, remember, your sick and the doctors are trying to make you better” Amy said as her daughter looked at her wide eyed and bewildered.

Amy sighed and leaned back in her chair. She could see Jim talking to Max Evans, His sister sitting at Alex’s bedside and that Tess girl next to Kyle’s. She looked at Michael for a moment thankful her had someone that cared about her so much.

“Amy” Jim whispered as he tapped her shoulder.

“Yes, Jim” she said, slightly turning to look at him.

“I was talking to Max and he and the others will stay with them while we get something to eat. I think all of us could some food and some fresh air.” Jim said to Amy.

Jim managed to convince the other parents the other parents to go as well. He hoped Max would be able to heal them.

“Liz I’m going to try and heal you, I need you to look at me” Max whispered to her as soon as the parents left the room.

“No! Please I don’t wanna die!!” Liz exclaimed with a raspy voice.

“Liz you’re not going to die, I promise” Max said as he looked into Liz’s eyes. Liz looked at as though she didn’t believe him but let him continue. Max placed his hand on her chest and focused his energy on getting rid of the virus. He started getting hit with flashes of Liz’s life when she started convulsing.
“Max Stop!” Isabel yelled to her brother.
