Title: It's A Nice Day For A White Wedding
Disclaimer:The characters of "Roswell" belong to Jason Katims, Melinda Metz, WB, and UPN. They are not mine . If I did, Zan would have lived. It would have been a good day. I also don't own the songs, Amazed or Wicked Games. They are owned by the writers of them and the companies that produced them. I don't own the title of the fic. Billy Idol and the record company who produced White Wedding does. But Seki and his crazy five sibling are mine... All Mine.
Pairing: Zan/Liz; mention of Kyle/Ava, Michael/OFC, Maria/OMC; past Max/Liz, Michael/Maria
Rating: Mature (Just to be on the safe side)
Summary: Finally the Wedding of our intrepid duo. Will everything turn out?
Author's Note: Thank you, Burningchaos and KiaraAlexisKlay for keeping me on task. Thank you to all the readers of this series!! You are the ones who keep me writing!! I will post once a day, this fic has 3 parts. All have been written, so no worries about me getting brain blocked on where to go.
The four fics before this one are The Marrying Kind, Who Says Romance Is Dead?, Transmogrification and Spaceman Spiff, Drinking Thinking, This Is Why Parties Have Strippers.

Liz looked around the room that she grew up in; it was now a guest room. Her hand skimmed the bedspread; it brought back a flood of memories. Some were happy, some sad, but all were cherished.

A blush grew as she thought back to one of her first days back from New York. Zan had decided that they needed to christen the bed while her father was out. Liz was pretty certain he knew what had happened, a giggle tickled the back of her throat, it would explain all the hostility he seemed to have towards Zan. It could also be that Zan was Max’s ‘twin’, that mere fact had her father worried that Zan was going to pull a ‘Max’ and break her heart.

She looked over at the vanity; a wedding dress was draped to the side of the mirror. Liz took in the reflection of the strange young woman in her underwear. This woman wasn’t the Liz she had grown up knowing; this strange creature staring back at her was going to be a married woman in less than three hours. Elizabeth Claudia Antar had a ring to it.

A knock on the door startled Liz from her musings. “One second!” She grabbed the robe from the back of a chair. She slipped it on, and pulled open the door.

Maria slinked into the room. Her blond hair was in curlers and was wearing giant Jackie O sunglasses. A garment bag slung over one arm. “Hey chica. Ready to make history?”

“Why weren’t you at the Hen Party? You left a very cryptic message about having to make sure a problem was taken care of. You’re lucky Ava jumps into command when Zan not around.” Liz stared at the Maid of Honor.

“We’re going to need Ava’s makeup bag.” Maria winced as she spoke. She hung up the garment bag on one of the hooks on the back of the door.

“Ava’s make-up bag of doom?” Liz shuddered. “I’m officially worried.” Liz’s hand was held out to Maria.

Maria dug out her cellphone and handed it over.

The number was typed with a careless ease. Liz hadn’t even looked at the phone as she dialed. As the phone started to ring, she placed it to her ear.

“Hey Ava, we’re going to need the Doom bag. What do you mean it’s in your car and you’re on your way? Isn’t this your home phone?” Liz’s question had puzzled tone. “You’ve what?!”

Maria giggled. “What did Ava do now?”

“Fine, if you are going to be that way, we’ll talk when you get here!” Liz said indignantly.

“What did she do?” Maria implored.

“Ava had her home phone number transferred to a cell phone, then cancelled their land line.” Liz shrugged.

“And why do you care?” Maria was disappointed that it wasn’t something more Czechoslovakian.

“Everyone is expecting me to be freaking out. I knew if I gave Ava a bit of hell it would get her here faster.” Liz giggled.

“In less then three hours, you are going to be Mrs. Zan Antar. How does that make you feel?” Maria poked at Liz.

Liz looked over at Amy, grateful, when she took that moment to walk in. The poking would have ended in play fighting. Liz knew that Maria wasn’t always so open to her relationship with Zan. The fights over the phone when Liz was living New York were anything but playful.

“Maria, why are you wearing sunglasses indoors?” Amy demanded. “And neither of you are dressed. You do realize that there is less then three hours till the wedding. We have to do make up and put on dresses. And most importantly, we have to coo at the bride for a few minutes.”

Maria sighed, and pulled down her sunglasses. The glasses had hid a black eye.

“What happened?” Amy gasped. “I don’t know how you’re going to cover that with makeup.”

“Is this why you missed the Hen Party?” Liz moved forward to get a better look at Maria’s eye.

“Actually, the reason I got this was why I didn’t go the Hen Party.” Maria bit her lip.

“What did you do?” Liz’s eyes narrowed.

“I gave Isabel a piece of my mind… and fist.” Maria smirked. “You should see her. The Ice Bitch has two black eyes, and a broken nose! If I remember correctly I split her lip too.”

“You are way too proud of yourself.” Liz laughed. “You didn’t have to defend my honor.”

“Please!” Maria waved a hand at Liz. “I went there to kick her prissy ass. Michael went there to defend your honor.”

“You dragged Michael into this? Did the whole Bachelor Party go?” Liz placed a hand to her face.

“Yeah, right! Kyle and Zan were attached to Ava’s big screen watching some sport that shouldn’t be a sport, like curling or something.” Maria rolled her eyes, and then winced. “Remind me not to do that.”

Amy shook her head and walked out muttering something about trying to find industrial strength foundation this late in the game.

“Oh, just for future reference, we can’t eat at Senior Chow’s for about six months. Well, you can, but I’m banned.” Maria laughed.

“You fought Isabel in the middle of Senior Chow’s?” Liz tried to contain her laughter. “Why Senior Chow’s?”

“Because her Czechoslovakian ass can’t get healed by Max, there were too many people there.” Maria giggled.

“Please tell me that Michael convinced them not to come to the wedding.” Liz groaned.

“I can’t confirm or deny anything that I have no control of.” Maria shook her head.

Liz looked like she was going to cry, when a knock came from the bedroom door.

“Hey Cornball! Nice shiner, Drama Queen.” Ava popped into the bedroom, holding a garment bag and a duffel bag. “This is why you ragging?” Ava motioned from Liz to Maria’s eye, dropping the duffle bag on the ground.

“Ava, you know I was just giving you hell. After the comment last night about how I was the scariest bride you’ve ever seen, I had to go all Bridezillia.” Liz laughed, as Ava hung up her dress next to Maria’s.

“You are! You pulled together a wedding in a short period of time. I’m still amazed Zan was willing to get married in general. But you’ve pulled this together in four months, and are complete calm. Mind you, the color coded schedule and pie chart on how this was getting done was a little much.” Ava shook her head. “I was expecting you to freak about something.”

“The only thing I had a moment with was when I realized mom wasn’t going to be here for it. She would have hated Zan. Dad might have been more open to the relationship. He seemed to take my growing up better then my mom did.” Liz could feel her eyes fill with tears. “We didn’t get along, but I miss her.”

“Oh chica!” Maria threw her arms around Liz.

“Stop crying, I can’t work with a wet canvas.” Ava wanted to pull Liz into her arms as well. She held back, knowing that Liz would be unable to hold back the tears if she did.

“Aye, aye, Captain!” Liz smiled blinking back the tears. She extracted herself from Maria’s embrace to sit down. “I think Maria should go first. She needs your magic.”

Ava motioned to Maria to sit on a chair, and then placed the duffle bag on the bed. “You are so lucky I seem to have every color scheme under the sun.”

Liz pointed to the door. “I want to make sure your mom knows we have the makeup covered, so to speak.” With that said, she slipped out to the living room.

Maria looked up as Ava started to work at hiding the black eye. “I’m proud of you, Drama.” Ava murmured softly.

“It was my pleasure. I might not have been thrilled by the relationship in the beginning, but he’s good to her. Liz is happier then I’ve seen her in a long time. I forgot what the sparkle in her eyes looked like. I never noticed that after a while with Max, it died.” Maria spoke sadly. “I just wanted it to be the way it was; Max and Liz with their ‘look into their souls’ glaze. After Liz ran to New York, I made a lot of mistakes with her on the Max and Zan front. It kind of reflected how I treated my relationship with Michael. I’m glad I was able to save Liz’s and my friendship. It helped me realize Michael and I are better friends, then lovers.” Maria paused, "Remember this, Gothic Chic, we never had this talk.”

“My lips are sealed. I’m just making you look decent for Liz’s wedding. Believe me, that takes a lot of work, Drama Queen.” Ava smirked. She placed the final touches on Maria, and stepped back. “I’s done.”

“I’m glad we have that understanding, Gothic Chic.” Maria smiled back, and looked in the mirror. “Adequate job.”

Liz walked in, pulling Amy in. “See, I told you there was no blood shed. Ava’s magic made it look like Maria never got into a fight.”

“I’m amazed.” Amy smiled. “But I think it’s the Bride’s turn.”

Liz braced herself, and sat down. “No wild stuff, Aves.”

“Baby Girl, you are totally not fun.” Ava smiled. Grabbing Maria’s dress, she pushed it into Amy’s arms. “Take your kid and dress her, please. I’m an artist, and I need to work on my masterpiece.”

Liz waved to Amy and Maria, as they left the room. “Are the guys at the church?” Liz looked over at Ava worried, as soon as the door closed.

“Zan isn’t going to get cold feet. If he does, Kyle and Michael have orders.” Ava winked. “I told them if they didn’t fix it, Seki was going to find Kyle fair game.”

“How does that work for Michael? He’ll let Kyle get hit on by Seki.” Liz tried not to show any emotion as Ava started to put on the make-up.

“I explained that I would let Seki know that Michael was very much in the closet, but would love to have Seki help him come out.” Ava’s evil smile reminded Liz of a shark. “Ok, I’m going to put a shield up on your face so we can pull the dress on.” Ava grabbed the wedding dress from the mirror. “I don’t need the dress to screw up the makeup job I’ve just finished.”

Liz held her breath as Ava placed the shield over her face. She raised her hands as Ava dropped the dress over Liz’s head.

Ava dropped the shield, and smiled. With couple of tugs of the corset strings and tying them off, she twirled the bride to look in the mirror. “He’s going to drop dead when he sees you in this.”

Liz felt self-conscious in the silken white dress. It was an off the shoulders corset top with an A-line skirt. She felt all the comments Isabel had made, come back. “Maybe white wasn’t such a good color.”

“Please! Don’t let Isabitch get to you. You are going to rock the entire wedding to their socks. I only see one problem.” Ava smirked, the shark glint was back.

“It’s too revealing, isn’t it.” Liz bit her lip.

“Stop biting your lip! I just put lipstick on it! It’s not too revealing… Well except for your father’s taste. But dads are like that, from what I’ve heard.” Ava shook a finger in the air. “The only problem I see is that I might have to get a hose for Zan. Water seems to be the only thing that keeps that man off you. Maybe your father could help with a shotgun.”

“Dad doesn’t have a shotgun, thankfully.” Liz smiled softly. “You think he’ll like it?”

Ava shook her head. Zan was very honest about his lust for Liz, and yet she still doubted that she could be sexy. “You, Cornball, are a nut. The man practically humps you in front of company, and you can’t tell he’ll like this?”

“Oh, Liz!” Amy held a hand to her mouth as she walked in. “You look so beautiful.” She could feel the tears well in her eyes. “I’m sorry your mother couldn’t be here for this. She would be so proud of her little girl. I’ve always thought of you as a second daughter, and I know I am.”

Maria rushed in after her mom, and gathered Liz into her arms. “Chica, you are the most beautiful bride I’ve ever seen.”

“And to think, we haven’t even put on the veil.” Ava poked at Maria. “Drama, let her go. Your mom has to play with Liz’s hair. I’ll be in the bathroom putting on my dress.”

The garment bag and duffle bag were quickly grabbed, as Ava walked toward the bathroom. “I’ll do my makeup and hair in there too.”

Amy patted Ava’s should as she walked past. “Ok, Liz, time to make your hair match the look.” She plugged in a curling iron.

Maria pulled out the veil from closet. “You are going to drive Zan nuts.”

“Is everyone decent?” Jeff Parker’s voice rang from outside of the room.

“We’re all dressed, but I can’t promise I’ve ever been decent, Jeff.” Amy called back.

Jeff walked into the room. “Oh god, Lizzie. You are the prettiest bride.” Pride and tears filled his eyes. “I’m so proud of you.”

“Daddy, I love you too.” Liz gave a teary smile.

“Jeff, the curling iron is hot. I need time with your daughter’s hair. Go check with the church and make sure the guys got there ok.” Amy shooed Jeff out of the room. As he left, Amy turned back to the two girls. “I thought he was going to get you in tears, and we’d never fix your makeup in time.”

“Please, Mom, Liz is getting married. She’s allowed the water works.” Maria raised a hand to Amy.

“No, your mom’s right. Ava will never forgive me if I mess with her paint job.” Liz smiled.

Amy went to work at putting curls into Liz’s hair, as Ava walked back into the room. “I missed Jeff, didn’t I?”

“Yeah, he wanted to see his little girl.” Amy looked confused.

“Dad unnerves Ava.” Liz explained.

“He’s never accidently called me Tess. He’s been supportive and stuff. I’m not sure how to take that.” Ava shook her head.

“My dad has sort of adopted Ava as an extra daughter.” Liz smiled softly.

“Let’s stop talking about me. I think we need to be getting your veil on and you to the chapel.” Ava glared.

“Yes Mom.” Liz mocked. She turned to look in the mirror as Amy fixed the veil to Liz’s head. Her eyes went wide at the sight.

“You are a vision, Liz.” Amy whispered loudly. “Now let’s get you to your soon-to-be-husband.”

Burningchaos ~ Naughty girl giving secrets of the next part... ::snuggles:: I'm so thankful you love it!!

Ansleyrocks ~ Thank you for your constant support! :D I hope this lives up to the expectation!

forever dreamer ~ Thank you for your never ending feedback for this series!!! I hope the wedding is up to what you've been hoping for. Remember, after this part is the reception. So don't count this fic complete yet!

KiaraAlexisKlay ~ Any fic from you would make my year! Seriously. I love the prissy ass comment too. Seki likes to be used. He has to be one of my favorite Original Characters. Can you believe he and his siblings are from a Sailor Moon RPG I used to be a part of? Yeppers, Prince Seki of the Moon Kingdom. The youngest and most annoying. Lol.

Part 2

“Will you stop pacing?! I’m getting a headache and I’m not even in the wedding party.” Michael hung his head.

“Where is she? Did you hear anything from Ava?” Zan refused to look up as he paced across the small room.

“You do realize that there’s over two hours till the wedding. She’ll be here. Are you getting cold feet? Cause that’s not allowed.” Kyle shook his head. “Ava will get Liz to the wedding.”

“What if Max got to her?” Zan wished he had his eyebrow ring to play with. He had promised Liz to take it out for the wedding. It itched, not in a normal itch; it was more of a nervous twitch that made his hand reach for it. He always thought it was stupid when Ava would play with her lip ring when she did the same. That was until he realized he had the same odd tick. He was really missing that piercing.

“Please, he’s too busy making sure Isabel isn’t in too much pain.” Michael winced as he realized what he had said.

“What happened to the Bella?” Zan raised his eyebrow.

“Maria.” Michael looked away.

“Was it hot?” Kyle purposely misunderstood Michael.

“They fought, not made out, idiot.” Michael glared at Kyle. “I hate you.”

“What happened, Mikey?” Zan stopped pacing and stood, his arms folded over his chest.

“I went to Senior Chow’s to try to talk Isabel into not letting Max come to the wedding. I was informed that Max and she were coming to the travesty of an event. Her words, not mine.” Michael shook his head. “Maria had showed up to kick Isabel’s ass. She made sure it was in public so that Isabel couldn’t get healed.”

Kyle smirked. “Hurricane DeLuca got her good, didn’t she?”

“Maria ended up with a black eye.” Michael was slow to give away information.

“I want to know how much Maria messed with Isabel’s prized possession, other than her brother.” Kyle made a disgusted face. “They’re way to close to be natural. To quote my beloved wife, it’s vaguely squicky.”

“I’m going to pretend that conversation never happened.” Michael shuddered. “Though, hearing the word squicky come from your mouth willingly almost makes it worth it. Almost.”

“Are they here yet?” Zan tried to find a window in the back rooms of church.

“You aren’t allowed to wander around here. You’re supposed to stay in the little room. You liked it in there. Remember pacing? You like pacing.” Kyle chased after Zan and pulled him back into the back room designated for the groom. “You can’t see Liz before the wedding. First, it’s bad luck. There’s enough of that with Max coming to the wedding. Secondly, do you know what Ava will do to us if she finds out that you saw Liz? Death will be quick for the two of you. I married her; I’ll never get sex again… And slight torture.” Kyle seemed to remember torture as an afterthought.

“You are a horndog, Jockstrap.” Zan shook his head as he started to pace again. He stopped mid-pace as there was a knock on the door.

The door opened slightly as Ava’s blond and pink head popped in, “She’s here. Get your ass to the altar.”

Zan blinked at Ava, as if he had never seen her in his life. His pupils dilated, and face went white.

“Don’t even think of fainting on me, Duke.” Ava growled.

“Please! If I had ovaries, I’d swoon too,” A voice that snapped Zan out of his state.

“Dis is the groom’s room, Heineken.” Zan snarled.

“Please,” Seki swung open the door fully. “I know who wears the pants in the relationship. I’m telling you, you’re the girl.”

“Last time I checked; dis supposed girl bruised your trachea.” Zan gritted his teeth.

“Ooo, the Neanderthal knows big words.” Seki laughed, and then smiled at Ava. “I told you I could get him pissed.”

“Heineken, you haven’t gotten him to the altar yet. I’m not paying up till you have.” Ava rolled her eyes.

“I’m a bartering chip, aren’t I?” Kyle tugged at his bowtie. “I hate being the bartering chip. I also hate tuxedos. Why did I get the bowtie?”

“Dis is why I got the button thing. No lame ass bowtie for this king.” Zan smirked.

“Well if the King doesn’t get to the altar, someone is going to have to marry the bride.” Ava punched Michael in the shoulder, as he stood up and shrugged as if to say, ‘it’s a tough job, but someone has to do it.’

“Mikey, we discussed coming near my woman.” Zan pushed everyone out of the way as he headed into the heart of the church to meet his bride.

Zan blinked in amazement as his side of the church filled. He never wanted Liz to know how in awe he was that she had put her dreams of a big church wedding aside. She knew that he didn’t have much in the way of people to sit for him.

It had been decided that the only people who would stand for Liz and him would be the Maid of Honor and the Best Man.

When Zan tried to argue that it wasn’t fair to her; she pointed out that a lot of her family had stopped talking to her when her mother died, with the exception of the aunt who had taken her in for the summer between her sophomore and junior year. Her father had no family really to speak of. Her Grandma Claudia had lost her only brother in World War Two and her extended family had shunned her for marrying a Native American.

He looked over at Liz’s side. Her aunt was the only blood relative there. A few classmates, Jim, Amy and the demonic duo had filled in her side. Zan couldn’t help but glare at Max and Isabel. It wasn’t too much to ask for them not to make a scene, but he knew they would anyways.

The only saving grace was seeing Isabel’s face. Her black eyes weren’t well covered, while her nose had one of those splints over it. It was easy to see that Maria had gotten Isabel good. It was slightly amusing to see Isabel in her best light pink suit with a face that looked like it had gone a round with a boxer.

It was a shock to see his side. Seki had threatened to bring all five of his siblings, but Zan hadn’t taken him seriously till now. Two identical, gorgeous, sunny blonde women sat on either side of Seki; it was easy to see the relation. The guy who looked like a bouncer was surprising. He was a perfect foil to Seki’s almost white blond, slim, preppy look and the tattoos down his arms made Zan a little homesick for New York. If not for the dark blue eyes they shared it would have been hard to believe that Seki was related to the massive man. A black haired woman who looked similar to the bouncer, sat next to Michael talking about something. It was weird seeing Michael talk almost animatedly with someone he had just met.

Zan blinked as Ava sat down next to another blonde. She laughed as the guy had said something decidedly rude to Seki, that is if Seki’s expression was anything to go from.

Even though Max and Isabel had sat down in Liz’s side, Phillip and Diane had sat on his side. When Liz had come back home for her mother’s funeral in Zan’s arms; Phillip and Diane had decided to drag him into their family kicking and screaming.

It still amazed him that being a loner with only Ava, Lonnie and Rath as companions could be so lucky to have what he did. He knew Liz would have been content if they had just lived together for the rest of their lives. Her father, on the other hand, would have eventually killed him.

Maria started down the aisle in her banana colored sundress. Zan wasn’t sure what the Pixie had been thinking when she decided with that dress. But he was thankful for the excited smile she shot him as she took her place, though.

His heart stopped as the wedding march started.

Liz was nervous as she walked down the aisle. Her hand tightened on her father’s arm. It was like a dream come true. She would never admit it to anyone, but she had been almost certain Zan would cancel the wedding before they’d even arrived at the church.

It wasn’t that Zan didn’t love her. Everyone, with the exception of Max, could see that.

Zan was scared of marriage. It wasn’t about commit; he’d told her in no uncertain terms that she was his for eternity. Marriage was synonymous with death, for both of them. Zan and Ava had been killed on their wedding day; while Future Max had told Liz that their marriage destroyed Earth.

Liz looked down the aisle to her lover. Her heart had jumped into her throat; she was really doing this. Zan was standing in the groom position, his pale face mirroring Liz’s nervous expression.

As their eyes locked, a peace flooded the pair. It was going to be ok.

Jeff looked at Zan as he handed Liz off. “Hurt her, and the pain you’ll feel will be unimaginable. We both know you can imagine a lot,” was spoken with gritted teeth.

Liz rolled her eyes. “Dad, please, make peace.”

“I’m letting you marry him, aren’t I?” Jeff looked down at his headstrong daughter.

“Angel, your father and I have an understanding.” Zan nodded to Jeff. “If I hurt her, I’ll ask you to keep this promise.”

“I always liked you better then Max.” Jeff nodded as he kissed Liz’s cheek, and stepped away.

Zan smiled, it wasn’t his usual smirk of amusement. It filled his face with utter joy. Liz realized that Zan always wanted her father’s approval. Now in front of God, their friends, and family Zan had finally received it.

The rest of the ceremony was a blur of promises. Liz and Zan were just focused on each other. It wasn’t till the priest got to the question if anyone knew why the pair shouldn’t get married, that they were broken from their revere.

“Liz, please don’t do this. We can still work things out.” Max stood up, pleading.

“Maxwell, shut up. If Liz was going to leave Zan, it would be for me. It’s not happening, so let it go.” Michael grumbled loud enough for the entire church could hear.

Seki looked like he wanted to make a joke for a moment, but the brunette that was sitting with Michael smacked him upside the head. Seki blushed and grumbled something to the amusement of the blond twins on either side of him.

“Now, if there aren’t any more reasons?” The priest frowned at Max as Isabel dragged Max back into the pew.

“Do you, Zan Antar, take Elizabeth Claudia Parker to be your lawfully wedded wife?”

Zan tugged at his collar for a moment. “Yea… I mean I do.”

“Do you, Elizabeth Claudia Parker, take Zan Antar to be your lawfully wedded husband?”

“I do.” Liz smiled softly, her eyes never leaving Zan’s.

The rest of the events seemed to blur again, even the moment they placed the rings on each other’s hand seemed almost dream like.

Zan smirked as the priest told him to kiss the bride. “With pleasure.” He pulled his wife close and kissed her with the passion of a newly married man. Their tongues dueled as Zan slide his hand into Liz’s hair.

The priest coughed, bring the newly married pair back to reality. With a motion of his hand, the couple started down the aisle. “I now introduce you to Mr. and Mrs. Antar. May their years be many, and their passion never wavier.”

Everyone, with an exception that was expected, stood and clapped as Zan and Liz walked down the aisle. Halfway to the door; Zan picked Liz up into his arms and ran down the rest of the way.

KiaraAlexisKlay ~ Would you expect Maria to wear a normal bride's maid dress? I mean, it's Maria. I was going to cut this part into 2 just to drive you nuts. But I was like... She wrote me Rodney/Liz... She gets the whole thing!!! :D

Ansleyrocks ~ Thank you so much for reading, I'm also very glad they're married. I will miss writing.... Ok, I'll admit... I probably won't stop writing this 'Verse. just cause... It's so much fun!

Natalie36 ~ I wish he would have too. Sadly Zan was too enthralled by Liz not promote violence this time. Lol.

elfangel01 ~ I'm glad you love the story. Sadly this is the last part. Don't worry, even through this is the 'End' of the series.. It doesn't mean I'm not writing more. I still have to write how Liz and Zan got together. ^.^

polar vixen ~ Thank you!!! This pun will continue, no worries! Lol.

believer_evans ~ I would have expected more from Max too. But he also had seen what Maria did to Isabel to protect Liz's honor, plus Jeff had just threatened Zan with gruesome and terrifying death if he hurt Liz. That keeps a person less compulsive to mess up a wedding. Also I think he just was hoping Liz would just fall into his arms like she had times before.

forever dreamer ~ I'm glad it was worth the wait. It seemed like it took forever to write too. The Evan sibs are kept around for humor purposes. I mean if you can't mock Isabel... You'd have to find someone else. Where would be the fun in that.

Part 3

At the reception, Liz and Zan took their first dance to Amazed. Seki was quick to point out that Liz seemed to have a way of getting her way with Zan. Kyle snorted and murmured something about how Zan liked Liz best on her knees.

Ava smacked both Kyle and Seki upside the head. “Watch. It’ll be the only time you’ll see Zan being this romantic.”

Liz and Zan’s dance seemed choreographed. They moved in a fluid motion that demonstrated how long they had been together. Zan dipped Liz, and even mouthed some of the words. In turn, Liz would mouth the words back. They were in their own world.

The crowd stood up and clapped as the dance ended, but before anyone could breathe, Wicked Games started.

“I told you, you could have the first dance. This one is mine.” Zan smirked, as he started to grind into her; his mouth murmuring the words into her ear.

Liz gasped has she could feel him rub against her. Her natural reaction took over as she started to grind back. Her heels made leaning up to bite Zan’s ear lobe easier. “You are a very dirty man.”

“Now that’s hot.” Seki blinked. “Seriously. I think I need to hump Kyle now.”

“We’ve discussed humping my husband. There is a time and a place for that. I have to be dead, and last time I checked, I was quite alive.” Ava spoke softly but with a hint of steel.

“Yes ma’am.” Seki squeaked. “I have my sights set on Max anyways.”

“Seki, what have we said about trying for the straight ones?” The tattooed brother of Seki laughed.

“That there are no straight men; there are just men who haven’t met Seki?” Seki murmured in hope.

“Seki!” The giant man growled at Seki.

“Rafe!” Seki growled back louder. “See, I can do too. And I do it louder.”

“Isn’t this supposed to be Zan and Liz’s time? And, Heineken, you aren’t either of them.” Michael walked up to the table with Seki’s brunette sister on his arm.

“Is Jade trying to steal you away to Japan, Michael?” Seki smirked.

“What’s in Japan?” Kyle butted in, confused.

“My restaurant. Aren’t we going to give our regards to the bride and groom? They’re almost finished dry humping.” Jade smirked.

Everyone’s attention swung back to the couple, who were in the process of making out on the dance floor.

As the song finished; Liz slide down Zan’s body, then looked around in embarrassment. “Umm… Hi?” Liz blushed.

“Don’t mind them, Angel. I want more of this positive reinforcement for speaking proper grammar.” Zan tilted Liz’s head up to look at him. “We have nothing to be ashamed of.”

“I think this is the part where we catcall.” Maria appeared next to Ava.

“Where have you been?” Ava looked over at Maria’s disheveled appearance.

“I was getting to know Alexander.” While Maria tried to smooth her hair down; she flashed a satisfied, grateful smile at Seki. She might have to thank him for the introduction to his oldest brother. Maria decided it was time to redirect all of the unwanted attention back on the newly married couple and shouted, “Go Lizzie!”

Zan carried Liz off the dance floor. “I think I need a drink. Seki, you aren’t doing anything important. Get me a cherry coke.”

“I totally understand why everyone calls you King. You think everyone’s your subjects.” Seki rolled his eyes as he got up to get Zan’s cherry coke.

“I love you, and want to have your babies. Anyone who can get Seki to get something with minimal bitching is my hero.” Rafe smirked.

“I’m married, and don’t like guys.” Zan deadpanned.

“It’s ok; I only like guys half the time.” Rafe smirked. “Liz, I think it’s time for you to do the Father/Daughter dance,” with a motion to the dance floor.

Jeff stood there, watching his daughter. He looked proud, and a little annoyed with Zan. Liz could understand the annoyance; she and Zan had practically had sex on the dance floor.

“I’ll be back.” Liz spoke in a bad Austrian accent. With a quick kiss to Zan, she walked over to her father.

“Hi Daddy.” Liz shyly looked up at her father.

As they started to dance, Jeff cleared his throat. “Are you really happy?”

“Yeah, yeah I am.” Liz blushed as she hid her head in her father’s shoulder.

“That’s all I ever wanted for you. I was worried I had taken that from you, after your mother died. You stopped your life in New York and dragged Zan and Ava to New Mexico. There are times I wish you hadn’t. I think that maybe you’d be at Harvard or CUNY.” Jeff spun Liz for a moment before continuing.

“I might not have approved at first. I mean he’s a punked out version of Max, but I didn’t lie when I said I always liked Zan better. To my knowledge, he’s never made you cry. He wants only your happiness. That makes him a decent guy in my book.”

Liz could feel tear fill her eyes. “Thank you. I just wanted you two to get along. Zan makes me happy, Daddy. He makes me happier then I thought possible. Every time I turn around, he shows me that this is forever.”

“You have my approval. Though, you’ve never need it.”

“I might not have needed it, but I wanted it.” Liz bit her lip, and gave a watery smile. “I will remind you that UNM is a perfectly good school. It might not be Harvard, but with the price of Universities now, it’s not a bad thing. Also Albuquerque is close enough to see you when I need to, but far enough away that I can’t feel like I have my father keeping an eye on my every move.”

“You are everything a father could want in a daughter. Never think anything differently.” Jeff smiled, and kissed Liz’s cheek. With a glance over her shoulder, he laughed. “I think you need to save your husband and I need to go and check on the catering. Hopefully Amy and Jim haven’t decided that it’s a good time to have alone time back there.”

Liz let out a small laugh. “I think that scarred Kyle and Maria.”

“They were scarred… I was scarred.” Jeff shuddered. “I mean I’m happy Amy and Jim have found happiness. I just don’t want to see it.”

Liz kissed her father on the cheek, and walked back to the wedding party table. She smiled as she noticed her husband talking to Isabel. The sight of Isabel reminded Liz of all the insecurities she fought.

“Don’t think about her. She’s a bitter person. She’s even bitterer, because for all the things that have been thrown at you, you aren’t. I’m proud of you, Cornball.” Ava whispered softly in Liz’s ear. “You’ve found your way, and gave peace to Zan.”

“He makes me whole.” Liz bowed her head, almost shyly.

“You asked me once why I was so dead set on getting you two together; especially since I loved him once. You are better together then you’ll ever be part. You make him want to be better. He does the same to you. There is a completion that isn’t there when the two of you aren't together. That’s why I was dead set on seeing Zan marry you. He isn’t dumb enough to ever think of divorce.” Ava hugged Liz to her.

“I wish…” Liz was cut off by Ava’s finger pressed against her lips.

“Don’t wish. This is a day where dreams come true, but wishes are excluded.” Ava pulled her finger away and tapped Liz on the nose with it. “Now, go rescue your man. I’ve got to go rescue mine from Seki.”

“I love you, Ava. You might not understand it, but you really are the sister I was finally blessed with.” Liz kissed Ava’s cheek, and walked over to Zan.

“Don’t come crying to me when she leaves you for Max; its how it’s always going to be.” Isabel bitched. She seemed completely oblivious to Liz walking up behind her.

“I don’t know, Liz seems kind of dead set on keeping Zan around for a while.” Liz joked.

“Liz!” Isabel jumped and spun around. “I didn’t see you there.”

“Well, that’s kind of a given. I believe it’s time to toss that garter belt and the bouquet. I need my beloved husband for that.” Liz smirked as she grabbed Zan around Isabel. “Thanks!”

Zan grumbled about stupid traditions, as he got up but Liz could a spark of humor in his eyes..

“I swear she has nothing better to do.” Liz rolled her eyes. “I wonder if Maria has debauched Heineken oldest brother yet. She seemed very interested in him at the wedding.”

“Which one is the oldest? The tattooed one? Is your dad going to be watching as we do the whole garter thing?” Zan nuzzled Liz’s neck.

“The tattooed one is Raphael. Alexander is the oldest, and according to Heineken, the luckiest. He won in the naming game. Are you ready to throw the garter belt?” Liz pulled Zan onto the stage.

“I am going to have fun wit dat one.” Zan’s excitement for the thought of going under Liz’s skirt showed as he slipped into his accent.

“Be good. My dad is checking on the catering. We were lucky they had a mishap in the kitchen, or he would have killed you for practically mauling me on the dance floor during Wicked Games.” Liz scrunched her nose up in amusement.

“I’m always willin’ to take my life in my hands for ya.” Zan gave Liz a shit eating grin.

“You do know that I love you more and more each day.” Liz sat down on the chair that had been grabbed by the DJ.

“Shut It!” Zan boomed into the microphone that he had stolen. “We’re going to do the whole garter and flower thing now. So singles, take yours places. We’s going to party tonight!”

Liz lifted her skirt to show her calf and smiled coyly at the influx of cat calls. “Time for the show.”

“Shut it! All yous single men, get by da stage. Someone is going to have to catch this. And I tells you, if it was up to me, I would not be throwing dis.” Zan handed the microphone to Liz, as he stuck his head up her skirt. “Well I’m right at home.” Zan nipped at her thigh.

Liz turned red, and tried not to moan, her hands tightening their grip on the plastic microphone.

Zan found the light blue lace garter belt, with his teeth; he slowly pulled the elastic band down Liz’s thigh.

She moaned softly. The microphone picked up the subtle noise, broadcasting it to the crowd. Liz’s face flushed red. She bit her lip as Zan inched the material down her leg, kissing and licking randomly.

Zan rose to his feet, Liz’s garter clutched in his hand. “How are we doing this?”

“Throw it over your shoulder into the crowd. The gentlemen fight for it.” Liz whispered into the microphone, her voice had a husky tone.

Zan threw the scrap of material towards the eager men.

Liz gasped in shock as Michael caught the garter seconds before getting tackled by Seki.

Seki stood up gracefully and wiped off his pants. “Does this mean I get a shot at the bouquet?”

“I think Seki needs to diet.” Michael groaned as he pushed himself into a sitting position.

“Are you calling me fat?” Seki glared.

“Yes. Too many twinkies, not enough salads.” Michael laughed as Jade helped him to his feet. “Does this mean I get to marry Liz next?”

Liz shook her head in amusement and said “no” at the same time as Zan growled it.

“Gabriel, you fell on him on purpose didn’t you…” Jade glared at her little brother.

“Hey, hey, what have we said about using that name?” Seki glared, “and yes I did. Michael is totally grope-worthy.”

“Beside the point, say you’re sorry.” Jade tapped her foot. “I want to kick your ass and catch bouquet.”

“But I’m not!” Seki pouted. “He deserves to be groped…”

“Kids, we need you to break it up. If you don’t; Liz can’t throw the bouquet, Zan will go back up her skirt, and we’ll see a side of Liz I thought only happened in porn and how her Dad kills Zan on stage.” Kyle walked up to break up the fight.

“Yes Daddy.” Seki cocked his head flirtatiously at Kyle.

“Seki, note to yourself, straight men don’t like to be called Daddy by gay men.” Jade rolled her eyes as she walked to the group of women waiting for the bouquet.

Liz giggled as Seki brushed the imaginary dirt off his pants and walked to the group as well. “Now that that’s out of the way, I’m going to toss my flowers!”

Liz turned her back, and threw her bouquet of lilies. She could hear the commotion and scraping of chairs. With a wince, she turned to face the crowd.

With one foot on top of Maria’s head, and a fist clutching the treasured object; Jade stood like a victorious Valkyrie, her dress torn in two places.

“Get off my head!” Maria screeched.

“Sorry.” Jade stepped off Maria’s head and bent down to brush it off. “I’m slightly competitive; it comes from being in the oldest girl.”

“So does the mean right hook!” Seki snarled, holding a hand to his right eye. “Is being a cold hearted bitch also in the requirements? Or was that an added on feature?”

“Please! It’s not my fault you hit like a girl.” Jade smirked. The split in her lip started to bleed a little.

“I think I’m in love.” Michael murmured softly, staring at Jade in awe.

Zan slung an arm around Liz. “You missed a hell of a fight.”

“I wasn’t going to watch blood shed over some flowers. Reminds me of that time Ava and I went to the strip club.” Liz laughed at the memory.

“I don’t remember letting you go to a strip club.” Zan looked annoyed by that thought.

“I never said we were together at the time.” Liz smirked.

“There was a time before?” Zan kissed Liz’s temple.

“I know, I don't remember much of that either.” Liz teased. “I think it’s time for toasts. Then you can drag me to the limo. The group threw in money to send us some place nice. Alexander threw in his private jet as a bonus.”

“Where’s we going?” Zan asked, his lips still pressed against Liz’s temple.

“The Virgin Islands, Seki thinks it hilarious.” Liz giggled.

Zan let go of Liz to grab the microphone. “Okes, we want our toasts. Cause seriously, I need time with my woman!”

Liz placed a hand to her face as she laughed. “Thank you, Zan. My dearest husband, you are the master of understatement.”

Jeff motioned to the catering crew to pass out the sparkling apple juice in champagne flutes.

Zan gave the microphone back to the DJ, as everyone walked to their tables.

Kyle smirked as he took the microphone. “I’m the Best Man, which means, I get the first toast.” Kyle cleared his throat and pulled note cards from his jacket. “Ava wrote something for me to read, but I just made notes on the back.

“I’ve know Liz for forever. I even dated her. I know Zan. He usually has his ass parked on my couch, just like Michael, in front of Ava’s big screen TV on Game Days. But I never expected to be standing here giving a speech about their wedding. Mostly because they seemed totally oblivious that they needed to have a party celebrating that they weren’t ever going to break up.

“I just want to wish them as much happiness, and annoyance, as my marriage as brought Ava.” Kyle laughed as Ava pinched his arm. Everyone laughed as they drank.

Maria stood up, as Kyle sat down. “I believe it’s my turn. I’ve known Liz since we were in Kindergarten. And I’m willing to admit, I was totally against their relationship from the start. I thought Zan was using Liz. I was wrong. I know that now. They make each other whole. They might not be sappy and romance novel-ish, but they work. Here is to being able to toasting at their fiftieth anniversary and still telling Zan get his hand out of Liz’s skirt.”

Jeff glared at Zan, as Zan lifted both hands so Jeff could see; which caused the crowd to roar with laughter.

Seki stood up. “I want a turn, this way Zan has to wait before he can drag his woman off to his cave.” Seki sipped his drink and grinned. "You are both very pretty. Please make me babies. We need more of your prettiness in the world. Name one after me...” With that being said; Seki sat back down, placed his head on the table, and fell asleep.

Rafe shook his head, “No worries, I’ll get him home.”

Jeff stood up, and smiled softly at his daughter. “I want you all to know, that Liz’s mom would have hated Zan. But she would have gotten over it, eventually. I, on the other hand, would have gotten to be the cool parent. I would have told Liz; long before now, that I only want her happiness. That Zan gives her that happiness. They remind me that my mother was right; if it isn’t complicated, he isn’t your Soul Mate. They have to be the most complex and complicated couples I’ve ever seen. I wish you everything your heart desires. Be happy, Lizzie.”

Liz felt her eyes well up with tears, as she kissed Zan’s cheek. “He does, Daddy. He does.”

Zan stood up after a moment. “I think it’s time for Liz and me to jump in that shiny limo in front, and drive off into the sunset. Or in this case, drive to the jet Alexander has provided, and fly to the Virgin Islands.”

“Thank you, everyone!” Liz waved as Zan picked her up. “Eat, drink and be as merry as we are!”

With that being said they walked out the door to start their new life as Husband and Wife.
