Title: Nanny Goats and Space Ships
Disclaimer:The characters of "Roswell" belong to Jason Katims, Melinda Metz, WB, and UPN. They are not mine. If I did, Zan wouldn't have died. It would have been a good day. I do own Seki, and his family... his crazed mixed up family. I also don't own the line 'I'd rather be sniffing cocaine off a hooker's ass'. It's from a t-shirt at Tshirthell.com. But it fit the character who said it so well...
Pairing: Zan/Liz
Rating: Teen
Summary: Seki has a favor to ask...
Author's Note: This is the newest in the Domestication of Zan. It helps if you read all the fics before this one.
I am trying something different. This is actually going to be a story arch in the series. It's going to be no less then 3 fics, but there might be more... depending on how all the characters decided to act. ^.^
Like always I want to thank the fans of this series. Seki was nomed for Best Original Character as well as Zan for Best Portrayal of a Dupe, and I know that it was you, the readers, who put them up for such consideration. Plus Kyle for Best Portrayal of Kyle for 'Good Things Come in Twos. Your dedication to this series blows me away, and humbles me to my core. Thank you again, a thousand times over.
And thank you to my very loving beta who called me at work to squee about this fic, Burningchaos.

Zan opened the door to a woman growling, “I’d rather be sniffing cocaine off a hooker’s ass, Seki.”

“Seki… I’s thoughts I’d talks ta ya about you’s bringing peeps.” Zan glared at the blushing blonde man.

“Zan… Meet my…” Seki stopped at the glare from the woman. “I mean, Jade’s protector, Alena.” His voice more regal then Zan thought possible from the man. “She’s my Mommy-Goat.” His normal inflection, along with a well placed smirk caused Alena to slap her hand to her face.

“I’m killing you in your sleep.” Alena’s tone spoke of pain, suffering and basically sounded like Ava’s did when she was telling Seki to get away from her man.

“You’s Beowulf’s woman.” Zan nodded. “Welcomes.” He allowed the two into the apartment. “What’s brings you by?”

“I came to see my woman.” Seki smirked. “And Alena needs to speak to the both of you.”

“Seki?” Liz popped her head out of the small kitchen. “What brings you by? And with a woman no less…”

“Lizzie, love of my het-life, if I had one!” Seki laughed. “I’ve brought Alena by. She needs to speak with Zan-tastic, and yourself.”

“Let me put on the timer.” Liz motioned for them to sit down, as she went back to the kitchen.

“What’s brings ya here?” Zan sat across from the two.

Alena looked over at Seki with a raised eyebrow.

“There’s been some issues at home… Back on my planet.” Seki looked worried, as Liz walked into the living room.

“What happened?” Liz sat down, rubbing her back.

“Darth-Daddy is trying to overthrow my Mom’s throne. He is trying to get mixed marriages abolished. Alena and Beowulf’s marriage would be null and void. This is not good.” Seki shook his head sadly.

“What Seki is trying to explain is that Beowulf and I must return to Saulontz. Jade, Michael, Ava, Kyle and Seki will be joining us. We wish that you will join us in our journey.” Alena’s voice spoke of regal upbringing, but her posture spoke of a weary, worried woman.

“Why’s Aves and Jockstrap comin’ wit?” Zan played with his eyebrow piercing.

“Beowulf will be off planet. They’ve decided it was too dangerous not to follow. This is the first time, outside a laboratory, Antarian and Human genetics have been mixed. They want to make sure that Ava is protected. As my husband has probably toted to you, Dracotain technology really is the best for this situation.” Alena explained with little fanfare.

Zan liked her cut to the chase attitude. He respected that, and her blunt honesty towards why.

“Plus, with two Antarian/Human marriages there… It’d help greatly.” Seki added, twitching nervously.

“You really don’t want to go, do you Seki?” Liz held a hand out to him.

Taking the offered hand with a soft squeeze, “I don’t really have very many happy memories of Saulontz.” Seki shrugged. “I need to be there for my Mommy-Goat.” Seki looked over at Alena, offspring-love shone deep in his eyes.

“Seki, you don’t need to come. I am perfectly able to defeat that genetically deficient chrysiogene.” Alena sighed in annoyance.

“Whatza?” Zan raised an eyebrow.

“It’s a bacterium that respires the most oxidized arsenic created. It’s an insult. Especially considering their race is closer to an amoeba.” Liz explained.

“I’m impressed. Seki has intellectual friends.” Alena blinked in surprise. “I do ask for your own safety that you accompany us on our journey. You will be treated as foreign dignitaries, of course.”

“Except Michael. He’s going as the Intended of the Crowned Princess.” Seki pouted. “He’s being wasted.”

“We decided it would help our cause if Jade was to announce the engagement to Michael. He has agreed to this fabrication.” Alena smiled for a moment. “He’s very good for her. I only wish my other children find someone as loyal.”

“Children? You’re pregnant again? I thought Tyler was enough!” Seki looked horrified.

“I’m sorry, I misspoke… I wish my child and the demon spawns the Crowned Mother has forced upon me find such loyalty in a mate.” Alena glared at Seki. “Remember when you were a child, and I told you if you were not good I would swallow your soul… It still applies.”

“Please, that doesn’t work anymore.” Seki waved off the threat, “Mommy-Goat.”

“What’s wit da Mommy goat line?” Zan shook his head. It was too much information being thrown at him. He needed to talk this out with Liz.

Liz rubbed a hand against her stomach, worry weighed against her mind. She wanted to go, not only for the safety of her daughter, but for the adventure. Yet, with civil unrest happening on the planet, was it safer on Earth; raced through her mind.

“It’s a pun off of nanny goat. She’s my Mommy-Goat.” Seki laughed, squeezing Liz’s hand. “Sweetie, please… If for nothing else, your little girl will be safer this way.”

“Zan?” Liz looked over at her husband, her hand slipping from Seki’s.

Zan stood up, and knelt in front of Liz, his eyes searching. “We’s do this… We’s have help, and Bumpy is safe.”

“I can’t believe you call your daughter, Bumpy.” Liz gave a weak smile.

“She’s a bump. Bumpy works for now.” Zan rolled his eyes. “We’s go, then.”

Alena stood up, and bowed. “Thank you. I will be bringing my son, Tyler, with us. Maybe Liz and Ava would like to get a first hand view of raising a child?” Alena offered.

“Thank you!” Seki jumped up and hugged both. His eyes widened as a thought hit him. “We’re going with Jade… We get the kick ass good ship! WooT!”

“We’re leaving to another planet and you worry what ship you’re getting?” Liz laughed, as she leaned over and kissed her husband.

“You’ve never flown in the loser last child in line ship… It’s like riding on standby for coach.” Seki whined.

“You’s done dat?” Zan winced.

“You have no idea.” Seki shuddered.

“It’s nice to see the boys bonding… But I have a two year old who is home with a man who is wrapped around his finger. Also, I have a crazed prince who needs to be taken back to the asylum.” Alena grabbed Seki’s shirt. “The day pass is only good for so long. Let’s get going.”

“Liz, Zan… Love ya!” Seki winked as he stood up and walked out with Alena.

“So we’re going to another planet.” Liz’s voice was soft and full of wonder.

“Please, all’s I need is on dis one. I’s just hitchin’ ta keep Mikey and Jockstrap all non-bored like.” Zan kissed his wife.

“I feel bad for who ever has to fly the ship.” Liz laughed.
