Do the conventional couples just not float your boat at times or at all?? Polarists, GZers, Rebels, Loyalists, and all other UCers---this is the place for you guys...
Just a reminder that the Author Auction is still going on and includes hauntedd! Right now there are several Ros writers up for bid, and I'm disappointed that G is not getting anything close to the attention she deserves in her two auctions, both in terms of bids and just general chatter on her threads. Also, Kath7 is offering to write UC on her thread! Dear lord, people, you can't miss up on this chance to force her to write polar! Or, for that matter, think of the things you could force G to write!
This is depressing. I need to talk about my love for Michael and Liz with people who understand and my one resource has failed. Gah!
So, *sigh* I've been struggling through this one really tough part of my story because, let's face it, Michael Guerin is the sexiest man that ever walked our planet, and you just can't mess with perfection like that. I've got to get this part right or I'll never be able to post it. I finally had to resort to begging and pleading with my friend to help me to write this certain section (a fight scene, why can't I write fight scenes?).
So, he spends all this time helping me to choreograph the scene, to sculpt it and make it perfect. He says fighting can be as beautiful as a dance and just as sexy and, all-be-darn, if he wasn't right. I keep looking at the rough outline that we crafted together and it really is totally sexy... and he and Liz are fighting as in hand-to-hand. Who knew?
So, tomorrow (Friday) we're going to sit down again and write out the details and start putting it together. The piece is mind blowing. Never seen anything like it in Roswell-lore. Now I want to see more. I would love to see more of Michael engaged in hand-to-hand combat (especially if it's with Liz).
So, I was wondering if anyone knew of anything or if anyone was up to the challenge of just writing a short piece. I'm looking specifically for a Mi/L physical fighting scene. The scene must show intimacy through 'violence'. I'm not talking out-to-kill type of violence or even I-hate-you-and-wish-you-were-dead kind of violence, but that for whatever reason (ie., training, practice session, demonstration, etc) Michael and Liz are engage in some kind of physical fighting and you can just see by the way they interact with each other that there is this total trust between them and that they are either in love or have the potential to fall in love at some later point.
Anyone up to the challenge?
Or if you're interested but think you can't do it, do what I did and find someone to help you write it. It's such a great writing exercise and can only help you to grow as a writer.
