The following evening Kivar was walking through his headquarters with a spring in his step. He had Rath and would soon crush the little outpost. Even with the return of the Royal Four, he would still succeed.
He entered his suite and sat down at his desk. Opening a decanter he poured himself a glass of sweet wine. He sat back in contemplation of his Machiavellian plan. He coughed slightly to clear a tickly in his throat. It didn’t shift so he took another swig of wine.
His chest began to tighten and his vision blurred. He detected a dark figure approaching him. Kivar tried to call out for help but was unable to speak. Only when the figure stepped into the light could he see their face. It was not one he recognised.
A cold voice stated the obvious. That his wine had been poisoned. Gasping for breath Kivar launched himself off of his chair and landed on the floor with a thump. The stranger pulled him onto his back and waved a vial over his face.
“This is the antidote to the poison.” The voice cruelly told him as he lay gasping for breath. “I am placing a map next to you. If you want the antidote you will point to where Rath is being kept.”
The stranger sat down on Kivar’s chair and leaned back.
“You have no more than 20 minutes.” The voice taunted. “I suggest you use them wisely.”
Using the rest of his strength Kivar rolled over to the side where the map lay. He raised a hand and jabbed a finger at the same spot several times. The stranger pulled him back onto his back and fixed him with a deadly stare.
“If this is untrue I will return and kill you without mercy.” The stranger opened the vial and poured the contents into Kivar’s mouth.
Kivar was left to swallow the antidote as the stranger escaped through the window.
Michael was hanging by his wrists in a cell. He was in great pain from the beatings he had sustained. He shook his mind to try and clear his thoughts. He needed to escape. But how?
Every few moments his thoughts returned to the beautiful woman who was lying in bed at that moment. He would have paid any price to be there with her at that moment. Her sweet smile, the way she looked when she slept and the erotic moans she made when they were making love.
Michael felt all tension leave his body as he remembered why he needed to escape. His resolve strengthened and he straightened up. His toes grazed the cell floor but he was unable to take the strain off of his wrists and shoulders.
A loud noise outside his cell door distracted him from his thoughts. He knew enough to know that there was a fight going on. After a few moments there was silence and the door to his cell was being opened. A tall imposing figure entered the cell.
“General?” The familiar voice enquired.
“Kavos?” Michael asked in shock. “What are you doing here?”
“Retrieving the lost.” Kavos replied quickly as he loosened the cuffs that held Rath to the ceiling.
As soon as Rath’s feet hit the floor, Kavos pulled him out of the room and along the corridors of the ruined building. Rath had been held captive at the ruin of his old family estate. A small section of the building still stood. Rath had been held in the old servants’ quarters.
“Who is protecting my wife?” Rath panted as Kavos pulled him along.
“She is under the protection of Queen Ava’s bodyguard and I have arranged for additional protection by stationing other guards around the palace.” Kavos explained.
Kavos pushed Rath into the bushes before scouring the surrounding area for any potential threats. When he was sure that the area was secure he pulled Rath up and out into the open. Kavos had commandeered a small transport vehicle. He pushed his brother into the passenger seat and sped off into the distance.
Michael stood at the entrance to his former suite. The place where his wife lay sleeping. The last place he felt truly happy. He thought back to that first night and the following morning when he had lain beside his wife.
His courage faltered. Suddenly the door opened and Tess stood before him. She looked stunned to see him. A smile spread across her face but she quickly got in under control. She motioned for her bodyguard to follow her out of the suite. Kavos remained at the door as Michael finally entered.
He was first struck by the presence of a second bed in the suite. It dawned on him that Tess must have moved in after he moved out. He was glad that she and Liz had become so close. It eased a little of the guilt he felt at abandoning his wife.
Liz was still asleep in bed. She didn’t move as Michael approached. He gazed lovingly at her still form. Her glossy hair spread over the pillow. Her hand resting next to her beautiful face.
Michael stood for a long time simply watching her sleep. He felt peaceful.
He sat down gently next to her. With a trembling hand Michael softly touched her hand. Her fingers closed around his instinctively. Michael smiled. He removed his fingers from hers and trailed them down her jaw-line.
Her eyes fluttered open. It took her a moment to realise that someone else was in the room.
“Michael?” She questioned. “Thank God.”
Michael remained silent but continued to stroke her face.
“Are you ok?” Liz asked quietly.
“I’m fine.” Michael replied softly. “Are you ok?”
Liz nodded. Suddenly realising what was happening Liz rolled away from Michael and climbed out of bed. She wrapped her night clothes around her body and stepped away from her husband.
Michael seemed to deflate in front of her.
“I’m sorry.” Michael whispered with desperation. “I only wanted to protect you.”
“Who better than you to protect me?” Liz questioned.
Michael closed his eyes and two tears slipped from between his eyelids and flowed down his cheeks.
“But I failed.” Michael stuttered. “I failed.”
It Liz a moment to realise what Michael was talking about.
“That doesn’t excuse your actions.” Liz stated softly. “You left me. Can you imagine what it would have been like if I had walked away from you?”
“It would have killed me.” Michael admitted in a thick voice.
“You don’t know the things I was thinking.” Liz cried in anguish. “That you had realised that you didn’t want me or that you remembered someone else…”
Liz broke down in tears. Michael immediately rounded the bed and pulled her into his arms. He sat down and cradled her on his lap. Rocking slightly back and forth he kissed her crown and whispered into her ear.
“I love you.” Michael stated clearly. “I love nobody but you. I never have and I never will. Love. True love. I can’t breathe, eat, sleep or live without you kind of love. I have been miserable but I kept telling myself that I would be more miserable if you were hurt or killed.”
“You should have spoken to me!” Liz stuttered as she tried to control her sorrow. “We should have discussed it and I would have made you see that you were being stupid.”
“I was afraid that you would talk me out of it.” Michael admitted. “That’s why I did it the way I did.”
“Who are you to think that you are always right?” Liz demanded hotly. “What makes you think that you have all the answers?”
“I don’t.” Michael stated sorrowfully. “I wish I did. Then I could save us all a lot of hassle and deal with this stupid war and nobody would be hurt.”
“I know that you are under a lot of pressure but if you ever, ever, pull anything like that again I will divorce you!” Liz stated in a firm voice.
“Ok.” Michael whispered as his body relaxed. “I will never leave you. I couldn’t cope.”
“So true.” Liz stated. “You are pretty useless on your own.”
Michael smiled at how quickly her heart could forgive him. He nuzzled her gently with his nose and kissed her sweetly on the mouth. Having nearly forgotten how sensitive his lips were Michael moaned in ecstasy.
Liz shifted in his lap only to feel Michael recoil in pain. She broke the kiss and looked at him in horror. She quickly pulled open his shirt only to see the blue and black bruises on his ribs. Her lower lip was caught between her teeth as she gently caressed his wounds with her fingertips.
“We need to get you to Max.” She spoke softly with shimmering eyes.
Michael nodded and winced at the same time. He rose as Liz slipped off of his lap and they walked hand in hand out of their suite only to find Max sitting in the hallway with Tess, Kavos and Tess’ bodyguard.
“Are you alright?” Max demanded as he leapt to his feet.
“Not really.” Michael admitted as he showed his wounds to his brother.
“Jesus.” Max muttered as he ran his fingers through his hair.
Shepherding everyone back into Michael and Liz’s suite Max got to work healing Michael’s injuries. Kavos looked on with great interest as he witnessed first hand the incredible power of the King. To heal was a great gift and not one frequently bestowed.
“Broken ribs, wrists, a concussion and severe bruising and tissue damage.” Max recounted as he stepped back. “It’s a miracle that you don’t have any internal bleeding.”
Liz remained by Michael’s side as Max worked on him. She pressed his head against her chest and ran her fingers through his hair. Michael didn’t like to feel so exposed so she sought to comfort him as much as possible.
“How the hell did you escape?” Max asked in wonder as Michael re-buttoned his shirt. “Where were you?”
“I was being held at my family’s old estate.” Michael answered as he pulled Liz down beside him on the bed. “I didn’t escape. Kavos got me out.”
Everyone in the room turned to Kavos with wide eyes and expectant looks on their faces.
“How did you know where the General was being held?” Max asked cautiously. “His family estate is on the other side of the shield. How did you get to it?”
“There is a small weakness in the shield.” Kavos spoke without looking the King in the eye. “It does not reach beyond the land. It is possible to get around it in the water.”
“Then why hasn’t Kivar ever done so?” Michael asked curiously.
“Fear of the water, General.” Kavos bowed as he spoke to his brother. “Antarians will not enter the sea under any circumstances.”
“Yet you did.” Tess stated kindly.
“It was necessary.” Kavos replied modestly.
“But how did you know where Rath was being held?” Max pressed.
“A source who wishes to remain anonymous provided me with the information.” Kavos revealed. “I am honour bound not to divulge their identity.”
“Even under the orders of your King?” Michael pushed. “I would greatly like to know to whom I am indebted.”
“My honour demands my silence on the matter.” Kavos replied respectfully.
“Then consider the subject closed for now.” Michael stated to the surprised of everyone in the room. “I thank you for your assistance.”
Kavos bowed and exited the room. Tess motioned for her bodyguard to follow Kavos so as to leave the Royal Four alone together for the first time in a long time.
“That was surprisingly nice of you.” Liz stated.
“Thanks.” Michael retorted in a hurt voice.
“I know.” Liz explained. “Kavos and I spoke about it. I told Tess as well.”
Michael remained silent.
“I know that you are angry.” Liz stated. “But you have no right to be mad at Kavos. It is not his fault.”
Across the room Max raised his hand.
“What did I miss?” He asked in confusion. He watched the exchange of glances between Liz and Michael. Liz obviously wanted Michael to be the one to tell Max what was going on. After a few moments Michael seemed resolved to speak.
“Apparently,” Michael grumbled, “My father met and married another woman and neglected to tell me about it. He also forgot to mention that he had another son.”
“Kavos?” Max asked in shock. “How did you find out?”
“He told me shortly after I assigned him to Liz’s protection.” Michael explained.
“And the way you reacted can’t have been great.” Liz gently reproved. “He was very uncomfortable when I confronted him about it.”
“Confronted him?” Michael asked in concern.
“He refused to tell me his name.” Liz explained. “We still don’t know the name of Tess’ bodyguard. Or even if he can speak. I finally managed to get Kavos to tell me his name and it just clicked. He looks like his father. He was named for him.”
“I can’t believe this.” Max gasped. “I can’t believe that your father never told you his new wife and child.”
“Tell me about it.” Michael sighed.
“I’m sure that there was a good reason.” Tess tried to comfort Michael. “The two of you were so close that he wouldn’t have any reason not to tell you.”
“That’s what I thought too.” Michael muttered. “But obviously not.”
“Don’t be in such a hurry to think badly of your father.” Liz kissed Michael gently. “There is one person who may hold the answer.”
“Kavos.” Tess stated with certainty. “Shall I go get him?”
After exchanging glances with Michael, Liz nodded to Tess. The petit blonde walked over to the door and asked Kavos to join them. He seemed to hesitate for a moment before consenting to enter the room.
Kavos bowed but remained a respectful distance from the Royals.
“We have been explaining your circumstances to the King.” Liz explained gently. “Your parentage and lineage.”
Kavos remained silent but his face paled.
Michael noticed his brother’s reaction and felt immediately guilty. He had not reacted well when Kavos had revealed to him that they shared a father.
“It was my understanding that my father and I were always honest with each other.” Michael stated softly. “This was not the case and I took that out on you, which was not fair.”
Kavos nodded and looked over to the taller man for a brief second.
“We have been trying to understand why your father never revealed your existence to Rath or anybody else.” Liz pressed gently. “Is there anything you can tell us?”
“He passed before I was old enough to speak.” Kavos explained. “My mother passed shortly after that.”
“I’m sorry for your loss.” Liz nodded in condolence.
“Thank you.” Kavos bowed and begged leave to exit the room. It was granted and he left.
“He knows more.” Michael stated with certainty.
“I know.” Liz agreed. “But let’s not push him, ok?”
Michael nodded in agreement. Although he was far from happy about it.

Re: Full Circle (UC,Mi/L,MATURE) Chap 41 03/14
Tess was sitting in her suite later that day pondering everything they had learned. Michael’s return had meant that her bed was removed from the suite she had shared with her sister and was placed back in her old room. She would miss the constant company of her friend. They had been of great comfort to each other.
A knock at the door startled both her and her bodyguard. A head popped out from behind the door revealing their guest to be Max. Tess’ bodyguard immediately took his position outside guarding the door as Max entered the room.
“Hi.” Max stated pathetically.
“Hi.” Tess replied with a smirk. She wasn’t about to make this easy for him.
“Michael and Liz are…” Max continued as he slowly made his way over to the desk where Tess was sitting.
“In flagrante?” Tess finished for him. “Things are back to normal then.”
“Seems so.” Max stated unnecessarily.
“Is there something that you wanted?” Tess actually felt sorry for him. The King had been reduced to a nervous and anxious teenager.
“I wanted to apologise.” Max sat down on the desk beside Tess. “When Michael first told me about what he wanted him and me to do I disagreed with him. But he’s really persistent. And I agreed.”
“Why?” Tess demanded.
“He had one hell of an argument.” Max explained. “He admitted that he needed Liz. But he needed her to be alive more than anything. He wouldn’t survive losing her again. I never had to feel the loss of losing my wife and it was something that he never wanted me to experience.”
“That’s a good argument.” Tess conceded. “However, it automatically assumes that Liz and I could cope any better losing the two of you.”
“You did.” Max smiled. “Far better than Michael and I coped.”
“What do you mean?” Tess queried.
“The two of you managed to create an orphanage, schedule meetings with ministers to secure resources and funds.” Max’s tone was full of admiration. “You organised for the gardens to be used for food and you have done so much else to improve the conditions of our people.”
“We needed something to take our minds off of you.” Tess looked away in sorrow.
“I am so sorry that you were left alone.” Max took Tess’ hand in his and squeezed in gently.
“I wasn’t alone.” Tess smiled. “I had Liz.”
“I’m glad that the two of you are so close.” Max cupped Tess’ jaw with his free hand.
“We’ve helped each other a lot.” Tess whispered as she closed her eyes and savoured Max’s touch.
“I’m sorry.” Max repeated as he lowered his head to hers.
“I know.” Tess smiled as she connected her lips with his.
It was only the second kiss that they had experienced together in this life but it was incredibly sweet and tender. Tess rose from her seat and found herself quickly wrapped up in Max’s arms. Tess’ fingers soon tangled in Max’s dark locks as his hands ran up and down her back.
It was intoxicating.
Max reluctantly broke the kiss but didn’t release Tess from his embrace. He struggled with what he wanted to stay but ultimately decided to open himself up to potential rejection.
“Will you have dinner with me?” Max asked quietly.
“Dinner?” Tess asked in confusion. “Like a date?”
“Yes.” Max confirmed in a high pitched voice. “Will you?”
“Sure.” Tess smiled easily. Standing on her tiptoes she captured Max’s lips in another sweet kiss.
Later that evening Michael and Liz were sitting together on one of the sofas in their suite. Michael had made it clear that Liz was not going to be let out of his sight.
“That is definitely one trait that you share with your brother.” Liz commented gently.
Michael made no response.
“Are we never going to discuss this?” Liz pressed.
“I don’t know what you could expect me to say.” Michael bit out.
“Whether you like it or not he is your brother.” Liz snapped. “And it’s not about what I expect you to say. It is about what you feel.”
“I know.” Michael sighed. “I’m sorry.”
“I think that the answers life with Kavos’ mother” Liz mused.
“How can they?” Michael queried. “She’s dead.”
“Not with her physically.” Liz explained. “But with her identity.”
“What do you mean?” Michael asked perplexed.
“Why would your father keep her a secret from you?” Liz posited. “Unless her identity could hamper you in any way.”
“You think that she was somehow linked with Kivar or the enemy?” Michael was wide eyed.
“Perhaps.” Liz nodded. “Why else would Kavos refuse to talk about her?”
“That’s not good.” Michael stated slowly.
Liz nodded slowly but remained silent.
Do you think she is still alive?” Michael asked with worry.
“No idea.” Liz replied “But I think that now it is even more important for you to get to know your brother.”
Michael rolled his eyes.
“Hey.” Liz growled. “Right now it came down to a choice between his mother and his brother… Kavos would quite rightly side with his mother.”
That made Michael sit up and take notice.
“So what do I do?” Michael asked tiredly.
This was not something that he either wanted or truly felt the need to do. Whilst this man may share some of his DNA there was nothing else to connect them.
“You consider Max to be your brother, right?” Liz stated knowingly. After Michael nodded she continued speaking. “You share no DNA but because you were thrown together in this life you have bonded as brothers. Need, trust and dependence form your relationship. Don’t forget though what you thought of him in your previous life. You found him spoiled, arrogant and immature.”
Michael sighed heavily but didn’t interrupt her.
“You have not had the chance to have that with your brother.” Liz continued. “And roll your eyes all you want he is your brother. And the man I know, the man I married, values family above everything else.”
Michael nodded in agreement.
“All of the anger you feel is for your father.” Liz ran her fingers through Michael’s hair gently. “Don’t take it out on Kavos. It’s ok to be angry with your father. Lord knows he wasn’t perfect. Nobody is.”
“Any suggestions?” Michael asked in defeat. He saw Liz’s quizzical brow and clarified. “You’re right, ok? You’re always right. I know that it’s not his fault but at least he is here for me to be angry with. The real question now is how do I fix it?”
“You remember the advice Maria gave you with Laurie Dupree?” Liz smiled.
Michael raised an eyebrow in expectation.
“Make a connection.” Liz smirked.
Michael groaned.
“I think that he would make a good aide for you.” Liz suggested.
“Sorry?” Michael was confused. “He is already assigned to your protection.”
“I know.” Liz smiled. “I think it would be good though for him to join your staff and work with you. The two of you are very similar. Very proud and stubborn. Monosyllabic. Stoic.”
Michael grunted in amusement.
“Honest, noble, self sacrificing and loyal.” Liz finished sincerely. “He is the only blood family you have left here.”
“Alright.” Michael gasped in mock irritation. “You’re right. As always.”
“Glad you finally understand that.” Liz smirked.
Michael grew serious and silent. He glanced over at Liz’s body.
“What?” Liz brushed hair away from Michael’s eyes as she sought a connection.
“We haven’t exactly been careful.” Michael mused.
“Careful” Liz exclaimed. “I’ve had Kavos with me day and night.”
“That’s not what I meant.” Michael sighed. “You said blood family…”
Liz realised what he meant.
“We will have a baby when we are supposed to.” Liz soothed.
“I can’t…” Michael broke off in a thick voice.
“I know.” Liz sighed as she held him close. “We are protected here.”
“If Kavos can figure a way out then other people can find a way in.” Michael shook his head. “I don’t know what to do.”
Liz knew how difficult it was for Michael to ever admit that he was out of his depth. She cupped his face with her hands and kissed him gently on the lips before extricating herself from his arms and walking over to her desk.
Michael watched his wife’s actions simply wondering to himself how it was possible for her to be so sexy and sweet at the same time. Surely the two were mutually exclusive?
He watched his wife pull a thick book out of her desk drawer and carry it over to him.
“What’s this?” Michael asked as he reclaimed her in his embrace.
“This is a book of memories and recollections of men who served with you on the front lines.” Liz revealed.
“I don’t understand.” Michael confessed.
“I have met with some of the soldiers who as young men fought with you on the front lines.” Liz explained as she flipped through the pages of the book. “This book is packed with information about your strategies, battles, conditions, food and anything else the old soldiers thought would be of value to you.”
Michael looked at Liz in awe.
“I can’t believe…” Michael muttered as he lifted the book out of Liz’s arms.
It was an immense volume. The pages were of uniform type showing that Liz had used the palace scribes to collect all of the information into one book.
“Thank you.” Michael spoke softly. He looked up at her and leaned in to kiss her. “Thank you.”
“I wanted to help.” Liz replied simply.
“You have.” Michael whispered hoarsely. “More than you could possibly understand.”
Liz leaned back into Michael’s arms and listened as he read aloud from the book.
A knock at the door startled both her and her bodyguard. A head popped out from behind the door revealing their guest to be Max. Tess’ bodyguard immediately took his position outside guarding the door as Max entered the room.

Re: Full Circle (UC,Mi/L,MATURE) Chap 42 04/22
I know - I suck - it's been forever since I updated. Sorry - life kinda exploded.
“Christ.” Michael gasped.
“What?” Liz asked in concern.
“A division is over two hundred and fifty men.” Michael explained. “From the time this guy joined the army there were over three thousand men. All of those men were killed. All of the men who replaced the fallen were killed. There were less than two hundred and fifty men of fighting age left.”
“Oh my God.” Liz whispered in horror.
“How the hell does Max think I can do this?” Michael groaned as he buried his face in his hands. “The last time I tried was a complete disaster.”
“You know more now.” Liz soothed. “You have the knowledge of what went wrong the last time compiled with everything you have learned this time around.”
“Such as?” Michael wondered.
“You mean to say that the hundreds of times you made all of us sit through Braveheart were a complete and utter waste of time?” Liz demanded.
Michael smiled ruefully.
“Earth history is brutal and unimaginably cruel.” Liz took Michael’s hand in hers. “You were sent there to learn. Think outside the box. Antarians frown on humanity. You know things that they can’t possibly. Use that information to beat him.”
Michael nodded in understanding and continued reading.
The food that was presented before us was bland but filling. The queue to eat was long and we were satisfied with our meals. The longer we were stationed at the front the worse the food became. There was no preparation or thought. We knew that rations were slim but meals became monotonous and boring.
“It was inevitable that morale would sink after prolonged battle fatigue.” Liz stated. “It is something that you and Kavos can work on.”
“Not that we really have enough men to work with.” Michal pointed out.
“So think smaller.” Liz suggested. “The dirty dozen or something like that. Small precise strikes that do maximum damage.”
“That’s not a bad idea.” Michael mused. “There are quite a few men who are imprisoned for crimes that were not serious enough to warrant the death penalty but serious enough to imprison them for life.”
“Triple X.” Liz smirked. “Man that movie sucked.”
“Yeah, something like that.” Michael nodded. “It wasn’t that bad!”
“Please!” Liz rolled her eyes. She nudged him to continue reading.
An astonishing invitation was received by the Palace the following morning. An emissary of Kivar’s had approached the shield with a verbal request of a formal meeting between himself and the Royal Four. This message was speedily reported to the General, who then called a meeting with Max, Tess and Liz.
“Why would he want to meet with us?” Tess inquired in confusion.
“I don’t know.” Max confessed.
“Curiosity.” Liz stated shortly.
“He wants to size us up.” Michael agreed. “He wants to judge how difficult it will be to beat us.”
Max sighed in realisation. “So what do we do?” The boy King asked.
“We take the meeting.” Michael announced.
“This man had you kidnapped.” Tess exclaimed in surprise. “I can’t believe that you would be so eager to meet him.”
“Tess has a point.” Liz spoke softly as she placed a hand on her husband’s knee.
“It’s too good an opportunity to pass up.” Max replied. “We have to meet him.”
“I agree.” Michael nodded as he squeezed Liz’s hand and then pressed it to his lips “I want to see him. I want to look him in the eye and judge him on his own merits. Without the might of his army to protect him.”
Liz and Tess exchanged concerned looks but for very different reasons. Tess was startled by the sudden burst of activity after so much passive inactivity. She couldn’t bear the thought of anything tearing apart their family.
Liz was concerned about Michael meeting with the man who had not only killed his wife and son in his past life but also kidnapped him in this life. Liz fought her own panic at coming face to face with Kivar again.
A look of trepidation passed between Liz and Kavos, who was standing guard at the door. The look passed unnoticed by the others in the room.
A message was sent back to Kivar and an arrangement was made to meet the following week. The biggest obstacle was where to meet. Lowering the shield was not an option. It was possible that Kivar was anticipating that and was prepared to launch an attack.
But crossing the shield over to Kivar’s territory could be just handing themselves over to be captured.
That night Liz climbed into bed beside Michael and proceeded to stare at him.
“Are you working on your psychic powers or have I grown another head?” Michael asked dryly as he continued to read through some paperwork.
“I’m worried about you.” Liz stated as she stroked Michael’s hair.
“I’m fine.” Michael replied without looking up.
Liz glared at him in annoyance. There he lay on top of the covers, reclining against a stack of pillows completely nonchalant. He was stripped to the waist, ready for bed, as thought nothing was wrong.
Setting her jaw and narrowing her eyes Liz glowered at him. She would be damned if he was going to freeze her out. Not again. Reaching over Liz pulled the papers out of Michael’s hands. As he protested she swung her leg over his and straddled his thighs.
Michael’s body immediately relaxed and a smirk lifted his mouth to the left. His arms wrapped around Liz’s body as he pulled her closer.
“Hi.” Michael growled.
Liz pulled back and fixed Michael with a look that said ‘I wanted your attention but not for sex’.
“What’s wrong?” Michael asked.
“You’re shutting me out again.” Liz stated with a furrowed brow.
“No I’m not.” Michael protested as he cupped Liz’s face. “I am fine.”
“Bull shit.” Liz shot back. “You can’t be fine. I know you. I know how much you hate this man. You cannot be fine.”
Michael remained silent but looked away from her.
“I’m not fine.” Liz admitted.
“I know.” Michael acknowledged softly as he looked up at her with his big brown eyes.
Realisation dawned on Liz as she tilted her head back and sighed. She lowered her head and looked at Michael with a small smile.
“You don’t need to protect me.” Liz whispered. “At least not like that. You panicking or worrying will not make me worry or panic any more. And you not panicking or worrying will not make me worry any less.”
Michael sighed in defeat.
“Yeah I’m scared.” Michael confessed still avoiding looking at Liz’s face. “I’m afraid that I will take one look at the guy and knock him through a fucking wall.”
Michael whole body tensed in anger and frustration. His jaw was set and his eyes blazed in fury.
“But I have to remain in control.” Michael reasoned as he reined in his emotions.
“Not with me you don’t.” Liz soothed as she ran her fingers though Michael’s untamed locks and slowly began to rotate her hips hoping to shift Michael’s attention from one head to another.
“That’s not fighting fair.” Michael grunted as he started to strip Liz of the pyjama top she wore to bed.
“There is no such thing as fighting fair.” Liz retorted in a throaty voice. “All is fair in love and war. Haven’t you heard?”
“You may need to educate me.” Michael rolled Liz onto her back and pinned her to the mattress.
Liz grabbed Michael hair with both hands and forced his head back. Using her tongue she caressed Michael’s throat. She could feel Michael’s body flush with heat and tense in arousal.
“You start by knowing the weaknesses of all involved.” Liz whispered into Michael’s ear. “That way you can manipulate them into doing whatever it is that you want them to do.”
“Noted.” Michael whimpered.
“I want to be on top.” Liz purred into Michael’s ear.
With little hesitation Michael rolled onto his back pulling Liz on top of him. With a self satisfied smirk Liz sat up but pressed Michael back into the mattress.
“When you have manipulated your victim into the position that you want them in…” Liz continued. “You can use the situation to your advantage and get any information you want”
“S…such as?” Michael stuttered desperately trying to remain calm and in control.
“Such as…” Liz pondered slyly. “How sexy do you think I am?”
“Unbelievably sexy.” Michael stated as his hands caressed Liz’s thighs.
“Am I pretty?” Liz asked with innocent eyes as she stroked Michael’s abdomen with feather-light touches.
“Beautiful.” Michael choked out. Liz watched him breathe deeply in vain attempts to calm down.
Michael cried out as Liz reached into his pyjama bottoms, the pair to the top that Michael had just stripped from her body, and firmly grasped his sensitive flesh.
“Oh baby, you’re killing me.” Michael whimpered. “Please.”
“Please what?” Liz teased.
“I can’t take much more.” Michael gasped.
“That’s a pity.” Liz commented as she slid down Michael’s thighs and licked the tip of Michael’s cock.
“Christ!” Michael gasped as his hips jerked forwards pushing his throbbing dick further into Liz’s mouth. Liz took the opportunity to bring Michael to the brink of collapse and started to bob her head up and down in a hypnotic fashion.
Michael was confused. He was in agony of allowing another person to control his body. Even if it was Liz. His wife, his love, his life. On the other hand the sensations she was sending through his body made him feel more than he had ever felt before. Both physically and emotionally.
His fists clenched the bed sheets underneath his body as Liz brought him to the brink and pushed him over. The vast part of him was relieved to have been allowed release from the torture Liz had inflicted on his body. But another part of him was not happy that he had cum in her mouth.
It just seemed wrong to him. That was how you treated mistresses and whores. Not your wife.
“You ok?” Liz asked in concern as she returned to her previous position of straddling Michael’s thighs.
“Yeah.” Michael gathered his thoughts before sitting up and pulling Liz into his arms.
Liz pulled back and fixed him with a knowing stare. With a rueful smile Michael knew that he couldn’t fool her.
“I don’t like doing that to you.” Michael admitted.
“Doing what?” Liz queried.
“You know…” Michael gestured with his hands. “I think it’s…”
“What?” Liz asked half amused.
“Disrespectful.” Michael explained.
“So you think that me forcing myself on you and making you succumb to me is disrespectful?” Liz questioned with a smirk. “Is it disrespectful when you do it to me?”
“No.” Michael answered quickly. “It just…”
“Brings back bad memories.” Liz guessed accurately. “I was a lot more naïve in my past life. If I had known how to do it and how much power it would give me over you… believe me I would have done it.”
Michael nodded.
“I would never have let anybody else do it.” Liz continued. “Only me.”
“Only you.” Michael crushed Liz into a passionate embrace before flipping her onto her back. “And only me.”
*******************************************************
I was fifteen when I first saw action on the front lines. I was deployed from the City in an old cargo vessel for subterfuge. We landed three miles from the front and had to make the rest of the journey on foot. The first thing I saw was an enormous white tent. I was told that the tent housed one of the divisions. There were twelve tents in total. By the time I retired at age 42 there was only one tent left.

Garcia88 and Lilmisspolarwhore - thank you for staying with me as I continue to suck at updating.

All options regarding crossing over the shield were immediately disregarded. It was not possible to maintain any security when entering enemy territory. The only question was how to get Kivar into their territory without lowering the shield.
“This is impossible.” Tess cried out in frustration.
“Tell me about it.” Michael groaned as he stretched out his long frame.
“I have an idea.” Liz stated slowly. “I just don’t know how popular it will be.”
“Don’t leave us in suspense.” Max prompted after Liz became silent again.
“I think that it is possible for us to invite Kivar into our joined subconscious.” Liz explained.
Light bulbs went off over the others’ heads.
“That would be perfect.” Michael rewarded Liz with a crooked smile.
“But?” Tess interrupted cautiously.
“But what?” Max questioned.
“Liz said that it may not be popular so there is obviously a downside that we haven’t considered yet.” Tess looked over to her sister with wide eyes.
“Kivar has strong mental powers.” Liz confirmed her sister’s suspicions. “We would be safe physically but may not be mentally.”
“That would be a downside.” Max confirmed with a sigh.
“Is there anyway we can… limit his powers?” Tess wondered aloud.
“Can we suppress his powers?” Michael asked in a serious tone.
“I honestly don’t know.” Liz shrugged. “That’s why I was reluctant to mention it.”
“We can at least try.” Michael insisted. “It would be an amazing option if we can use it. The ball will be in our court.”
“The only place I can think that we may be able to find some more information about this is within the Granolith.” Liz added. “The only one who has access to that information is Max as King. It is privileged information.”
“So let’s do that.” Max smiled at Liz.
“What?” Tess inquired looking at Liz. “There was definitely something wrong.”
“Not wrong per se.” Liz shrugged. “Max just doesn’t have experience connecting with the Granolith and may struggle to gather the needed information.”
“Why don’t you go with him?” Michael suggested. “Surely the Granolith will allow you to be there too. After all it did bring you back.”
Liz smiled and snuggled against Michael.
“If Max is agreed?” Liz looked over to her friend.
“I think that would be best.” Max smiled. “I’m not too proud to accept help.”
“What do you know?” Michael mused slyly. “Things do change!”
“Ha ha.” Max shot back.
“Should we go now?” Liz asked trying to bring the focus of the group back to the topic at hand.
“Sure.” Max rose from his seat after pecking Tess lightly on the lips.
“Take Kavos.” Michael instructed.
“Yes dear.” Liz retorted with a sigh as she joined Max by the door and indicated for Kavos to follow them.
As his wife and best friend left Michael stretched and let out a long groan as his muscles protested. He sank back into the sofa with a tired expression on his face.
“You sleeping ok?” Tess asked in amusement. “Or is someone keeping you awake?”
“I wish she was the one keeping me awake.” Michael replied with a dirty grin. “No, unfortunately I’ve just had too much reading to do.”
“Liz told me about the book.” Tess nodded with understanding. “I thank God that she is with us. As sorry as I am to leave Isabel behind but can you imagine how much more difficult this could have been without Liz and her memories as Ashana.”
“I know.” Michael leaned back in his seat and leaned his head against back of the sofa. “It would have been nigh on impossible. How about you though? How are you holding up?”
“I’m ok.” Tess smiled, grateful for his concern. “Not really had much to do to be honest. Liz has been dealing with the projects that were put in place, Max has his King stuff to do and you have the armed forces. I don’t really have a place yet.”
“You and Liz started those projects together. Surely you have as much to do as she does?” Michael scratched his eyebrow.
Tess smiled at Michael’s tell. Liz had explained to her that it was when Michael was holding back an opinion that he didn’t think would be well received.
“What?” Tess asked. When Michael looked at her in confusion she explained. “You have something to say. Say it.”
“I think you need to stop waiting for you role to come to you and go out there and seek it.” Michael announced in a clipped voice. “You need to be more proactive.”
Tess’ eyebrows raised in surprise.
“Sorry.” Michael muttered colouring slightly.
“Don’t apologise for telling the truth.” Tess reassured him. “You’re right. I need to push more I just feel so uncertain.”
“Uncertain?” Michael queried.
“I thought the second I stepped foot on this planet that it would all click into place.” Tess confessed. “But it didn’t. I still don’t know much about who I was. Who I really was and not who Nasedo told me I was.”
“I can understand that.” Michael smiled. “Have a look at some of the history books. Take what is written in them with a pinch of salt but it will give you some idea of what you did day to day.”
“What makes you say take it with a pinch of salt?” Tess asked in a teasing tone.
“Well, one of the books I read stated that I was seven feet tall with the ability to level an entire platoon with a wave of my hand.” Michael snorted.
“Who knows? Maybe you could.” Tess stated with a soft smile.
Michael snorted in humoured disbelief.
“That would come in handy.” Michael admitted with a wry lopsided grin. “But if I had that power surely I would have used it to save all of us.”
“You can’t know what happened.” Tess reassured him. “There could have been a million and one reason why you couldn’t use your powers to save yourself and others.”
“Yeah, I know.” Michael nodded distractedly.
“No you don’t.” Tess pressed. “Any reason you would have for doing something or not doing something I would support to the hilt. You don’t make decisions lightly. You make them quickly but somehow they always end up being right.”
“Hardly” Michael muttered darkly as he turned his face away.
“You talking about Pierce?” Tess guessed gently.
Michael flinched and fidgeted on the sofa.
“As painful and as dark as that chapter of your life was, we all knew that it was the right decision.” Tess stated as delicately as she could. “It was the only choice. You saved us.”
“And damned myself.” Michael added thickly.
“None of us can imagine what you went through.” Tess’ brow furrowed in sympathy. “I don’t know…”
“What?” Michael asked. After Tess failed to answer he fixed her with a stare. “Tess!”
“The anguish you feel is nothing compared to how you would feel if you had done nothing and we were killed.” Tess stated softly. “You were trusted to make the hard decisions because someone somewhere knew that you had the strength to live with the consequences.”
“Or they knew I’d have Liz.” Michael allowed a small smile to play on his lips.
“That too.” Tess grinned. In a more serious tone Tess added, “Thank you for all the hard decisions you have made and for all the hard ones that you have yet to make.”
“You’re welcome.” Michael’s eyes shone with emotion though it was quickly brushed aside with a sharp sniff.
Michael rose off of the sofa and, after placing a brotherly kiss to Tess’ crown, walked out of the suite.

Re: Full Circle (UC,Mi/L,MATURE) Chap 44 05/18
I know - You are all shocked that I am updating so soon after my last post. It's not a long part but it should hold you for now.
“I hope this works.” Max muttered as he straightened up and squared his shoulders.
“Good thinking.” Liz teased. “Always go into things with optimism.”
“Sorry.” Max chuckled. “It’s just that if this works it will be the absolute best thing we could do.”
“I know.” Liz assured him. “But you have to believe in yourself and the Royal Four more. We are capable of almost anything if we work together and believe it.”
With a relaxed smile Max reached over and grabbed Liz’s hand in his. They entered the Granolith hand in hand leaving a scowling Kavos to guard the entrance.
Once in the blinding white room Max pulled Liz close to him as he surveyed the walls trying to find anything that could be used to get the information they needed.
“You don’t need to panic.” Liz reassured him. “We are perfectly safe in here. What are you looking for?”
“Is there a port or interface that we use to connect with the Granolith?” Max wondered as he continued to scan the room.
“Yes.” Liz smiled and tapped Max on the forehead. “You mind.”
“This isn’t going to be easy is it?” Max sulked.
“When did you become such a moan?” Liz demanded in jest. “You know how to enter our joint subconscious. Why don’t we start there?”
Liz stepped away from Max and sat on the floor. Max copied her and the two of them soon found themselves sitting on the sofa’s that Michael had placed in their sanctum.
“Now what?” Max asked.
“I’m going to leave you in here to figure it out.” Liz rose from her sofa.
“Wait.” Max jumped up to stop her. “What am I supposed to do in here?”
With an exasperated sigh Liz closed her eyes after a few second Max gasped as a figure appeared between Liz and himself. Liz opened her eyes and smiled.
“Sheriff?” Max gasped.
“In image only?” Liz explained. “Consider Jim an interface to the Granolith with a friendly face.”
“So I’m talking to the Granolith?” Max exclaimed in awe.
“Yes.” Liz smiled. She patted Max on the shoulder and left the sanctum.
She walked out of the Granolith and greeted Kavos with a smile. She received a stony glare in response as Kavos herded her back towards the main building.
“Do you want to tell me what is bothering you?” Liz asked out of frustration.
“Nothing.” Kavos answered in a clipped tone.
“Whatever.” Liz muttered feeling fed up with Kavos’ mood swings. He was stroppy at times.
Back in the Granolith Max had returned to his seat and had instructed Jim to take the seat Liz had left vacant. Jim remained silent whilst Max tried to gather his thoughts.
“Is it possible to allow another person entrance into this sanctum?” Max asked the man sitting opposite him.
It was very disconcerting to speak to a vacant shell that wore the face of one of his greatest allies.
“Yes.” Jim replied.
Max was thrown by the voice. It was identical to Jim’s.
“How?” Max asked.
“Focus on the person who is to be admitted.” Jim replied. “He or she must also be open to entering the sanctum.”
“Open?” Max was confused. “In a meditative state?”
“Correct.” The Sheriff nodded.
“Is it possible to bind the powers of the person who is admitted?” Max questioned.
“Bind, no.” Jim replied. “But it is possible to restrict their powers. It is necessary that that person have powers in order to enter the sanctum.”
“To what level can we limit his powers?” Max asked.
“To half.” Jim replied.
“Are you aware of Kivar’s current level of ability is?” Max continued after Jim nodded. “Are the Royal Four given our current level of ability able to withstand a mental attack by Kivar?”
“At full power ability?” Jim asked. “No.”
“At half level?” Max asked in desperation.
“Yes.” Jim answered.
“So we can invite him into the sanctum and remain safe from mental attack?” Max knew the answer but needed confirmation from the Granolith.
“Yes.” Jim answered again.
Max sat in silence for a few moments. There was a question in his mind that he needed answered but was deathly afraid to ask. Eventually he knew that he would regret not asking the questions more than asking it.
“Can we win this war?”

Liz walked with Max out into the courtyard. They were being tailed by Kavos at a respectable distance. “I hope this works.” Max muttered as he straightened up and squared his shoulders.

Garcia88 and lilmisspolarwhore - thank you for your feedback. The Kavos aspect will not come up in this chapter or the next but it will be explained.
Whimsicality - your feedback as always is awesome. I look forward to reading your update when you are able to post it. But until then hope you like the next installment.
Michael was still reeling from his conversation with Tess. He was glad that they had grown closer but her questions had touched a nerve or two.
Tess was relieved that her conversation with Michael had gone so well. She knew that she would always be safe and protected by her ‘big brother’. But she was worried about Max. Ever since he had returned from the Granolith he had been distant and distracted.
Liz had spoken to Tess upon her arrival and knew that Michael was still emotionally raw from their talk. She had given him space and allowed him to come to her. Something he had chosen not to do so far. She was also getting increasingly irritated by Kavos. The looks he was giving her were not friendly and his attitude was starting to annoy her.
Max had received an answer from the Granolith and it was not an answer he had expected nor knew how to react to. He felt as though he was floating in the middle of the ocean with no clue what direction to paddle in.
“What did the Granolith tell you?” Michael asked finally sick of the silence. “I figure since you didn’t say something sooner that it is not an option.”
“It is an option.” Max announced. “The Granolith said that we can limit Kivar’s powers to 50% and we would not be vulnerable to a mental assault.”
“That’s good news.” Tess exclaimed. “Why do you look as though someone ran over your dog?”
“Another matter.” Max replied quietly. “It’s not important right now.”
“It must be if it is troubling you so much.” Liz pressed gently. “Can we help?”
“I asked the Granolith if we can win this war.” Max revealed. “The answer was unexpected.”
“Did it say yes?” Michael asked sardonically.
Tess and Liz laughed softly at this comment.
“It said not with me as King.” Max answered sadly.
“What?” Michael exploded. “That’s crap. You’re the reason we’re here.”
“No I’m not.” Max shook his head. “Liz is. I haven’t done much at all compared to the rest of you.”
“That’s crap.” Michael repeated throwing his cutlery down in frustration.
“Did the Granolith say anything else?” Tess asked as she gently rubbed Max’s arm trying to comfort him.
Max nodded but didn’t speak.
“Well?” Michael demanded.
“He said that only with Ashana as Queen would we succeed.” Max revealed.
Liz sat for a full minute with wide eyes and an open mouth. She was certain that she looked ridiculous but she couldn’t help it.
“That’s absurd.” Liz choked out.
“Max, perhaps you misunderstood.” Tess ventured in shock.
“I didn’t misunderstand.” Max spoke softly. “We need to look at the archives to see what can be done to transfer the crown within the Royal Four.”
“Absolutely not.” Michael stated forcefully. “You are the King, it’s you job. Your destiny.”
“Michael’s right.” Liz added. “It’s not happening.”
“Now is not the time to be worried about my feelings or my position.” Max countered. “We need to do what’s best for the people. What’s best for the war effort. And it’s not with me on the throne.”
“Says the Granolith.” Tess cried. “Whose to say it is never wrong?”
“We can’t suddenly turn against the Granolith because it tells us something we don’t like.” Max replied.
“But what about you?” Michael wondered with a bewildered expression.
“What about me?” Max couldn’t seem to meet Michael’s eye.
“What will happen to you?” Michael questioned. “Is it possible to have a King and Queen who are not married? Liz can have the title Queen,” Michael shot an apologetic look at Tess, “and you can remain King.”
“It’s not possible.” Max shook his head. “The laws state the King and Queen must be married.”
“Well you’re the King. Change the law!” Liz cried. “What use is having the power to change the system and not do it?”
“Liz is right.” Tess nodded vigorously. “I agree with her. Michael what about you?”
“Yup.” Michael replied succinctly.
“It’s unanimous.” Tess shot Max a look that did not give him any room to negotiate or argue.

Re: Full Circle (UC,Mi/L,MATURE) Chap 46 08/25
Just when you thought I had fallen off the planet!!!!
Sorry for the delay.
Finally unable to take any further distraction Michael called for Kavos to enter his office.
“Where is my wife?” Michael asked quickly as he realised that Liz was unprotected.
“She is with Queen Ava and her bodyguard.” Kavos replied crisply.
“Do you have something you wish to discuss with me?” Michael asked patiently.
When Kavos appeared to physically restrain himself from speaking, Michael became worried.
“If it is important enough for you pace a hole in carpet outside my office then you have to tell me what is bothering you.” Michael pressed. “Is it a matter of national security?”
“I don’t know.” Kavos replied looking Michael directly in the eye.
“Talk.” Michael commanded.
“I am concerned about your wife.” Kavos looked down at the desk.
“You think there is a threat against her?” Michael rose to his feet in panic.
“I believe she is a threat.” Kavos’ gaze returned to Michael’s.
“What?” Michael nearly laughed. “What could you have possibly seen to make you think that she is a threat?”
It took Kavos a few minutes to gather his thoughts and explain to his brother why he believed that Liz was dangerous.
“Her closeness to the King.” Kavos ground out. “It is inappropriate and should not be allowed.”
“That is not for you to decide.” Michael replied coolly. “They were very close on Earth and she was instrumental in our search for our true identities. She is also very close to Ava and is my wife.”
“Precisely.” Kavos retorted. “Her behaviour is unacceptable. She should not be allowed to cavort with the King. She is a married woman.”
“As well she knows.” Michael tried to rein in his anger at Kavos’ insinuations. “Relationships on Earth are vastly different from relationships on Antar. It is acceptable for men and women to remain friends with no romantic attachment.”
“I question her loyalty.” Kavos admitted.
“Loyalty to whom?” Michael demanded.
“To our cause. To the people of Antar.” Kavos jumped to his feet. “She had every opportunity and she didn’t take it.”
“Opportunity for what?” Michael demanded.
Kavos seemed to realise where he was and what he was saying and silenced himself.
“Speak.” Michael thundered. “You come into my office and accuse my wife of being a traitor to the Antarian people and you fail to back it up? She fought for you. She supported you in your right to claim lineage to our father. And this is how you repay her?”
“Is it right to support someone out of obligation even when you have doubts about their intentions?” Kavos retorted.
“You can consider yourself suspended.” Michael roared. “I don’t want you anywhere near my wife. I only want someone I trust to protect her. And if you doubt her then you will not do everything in your power to protect her.”
“Protect her from what?” Kavos spat out. “Perhaps it is not her in need of protection.”
He spun on his heel and walked away from his brother. Before he was able to leave the room the door closed to block his exit.
“You found out where I was being held.” Michael stated firmly as he lowered himself into his chair. “You were able to cross the shield, which has never been possible before. You refuse to explain how you gathered this information. How does that not make you a threat?”
“I did not know where you were being held. I was given that information.” Kavos replied with his back to his brother. “I was not alone when I crossed the shield. I didn’t not know it was possible until I was shown. As I have previously stated I am not at liberty to reveal my source.”
“Kavos is no longer assigned to your protection.” Michael announced as he entered his suite that evening. “You will be temporarily protected by Tess’ bodyguard until I find someone to replace Kavos.”
“Why? What’s wrong with Kavos? Is he alright?” Liz asked in concern.
“He proved to me this afternoon that he cannot be trusted.” Michael replied in a clipped tone.
“What have I missed?” Liz was highly concerned. “Things between you two seemed to be going so well.”
Michael shot her a look that told her to leave it alone.
“Alright.” Liz fixed Michael with a stare. “I’ll leave it for now. But I want to know what happened.”
Michael nodded as he walked into the bathroom.
That night in bed Michael held Liz extra close as his mind replayed what his brother had said. How could anyone accuse Liz of being a traitor?
It was a few days later when the Royal Four were congregated in a secured room. They were having a last minute discussion about the forth coming meeting with Kivar.
Seats were taken. Eyes were closed. Breathing was regulated.
The four of them opened their eyes to find themselves in their sanctum.
“Everybody ready?” Max asked.
“All we need now is Kivar.” Tess stated nervously.
“He’ll be here.” Michael stated. “Provided he got our message.”
Positioning himself in front of Liz and Tess, Michael gave Max a tense nod. A few seconds later a tall, handsome man materialised in front of the group.
Michael could feel Liz’s hand grab hold of the back of his shirt.
“Zan.” Kivar nodded, his face displaying a smug grin.
“Rath, my second in command.” Max indicated to Michael who was still standing in front of the girls. “My wife Ava.”
Tess stepped around Michael and took her place next to her husband.
“And Vilandra?” Kivar asked with predatory eyes.
“My sister is not with us.” Max replied stiffly “You may remember Rath’s wife Ashana.”
Kivar’s astonishment was obvious. He looked over to Michael. His eyes widened and his jaw dropped as Liz stepped into his line of sight.
“I see you are surprised to see her alive.” Rath ground out
“More than surprised.” Kivar whispered softly.
Once Max has managed to gather everyone around the conference table he had created in their sanctum it was apparent that Kivar had been thrown by the appearance of Ashana. He kept darting glances at Liz, who merely looked straight ahead.
“You called this meeting Kivar.” Max sated. “I presume you have something to say.”
It took Kivar a moment to wrench his eyes away from the petit brunette.
“I thought it only proper to allow you the opportunity to surrender to me in person before there were anymore unnecessary deaths.” Kivar leaned back in his chair and tried to look relaxed.
He failed.
“And why would we surrender?” Michael demanded in a clipped tone.
“Your situation is grim.” Kivar replied. “You have few resources and you cannot hold out much longer for lack of food and water.”
“We have struggled for years to return to our home world” Max spoke in a calm tone. “We have seen your acts on this world and we know of your actions against us on Earth. Our memories tell us that handing over this planet to you would be the most inhumane act against our people.”
Max paused briefly to read Kivar’s reaction.
“Our struggle will be great but our conscience will be clear.
Michael was most impressed by Max’s demeanour and poise.
“My inhumane acts?” Kivar mocked firing a dark look at Liz. He rose and disappeared.
“What have we missed?” Tess asked in concern. “There is something going on. Do you have any leverage over Kivar?”
“No.” Liz shook her head.
Michael took his wife’s hand and squeezes it causing her to bring her eyes up to his.
“You have to tell us.” Michael spoke softly. “There is something more than guilt, if he was capable of such an emotion.”
“What happened with Kavos?” Liz asked suddenly.
“What does that have to do with anything?” Michael asked in confusion.
“It may have everything to do with it.” Liz answered softly.
Sorry for the delay.

The following day Michael was trying to work but was having difficulty in concentrating over the obvious anxiousness of Kavos who was pacing outside his door. Finally unable to take any further distraction Michael called for Kavos to enter his office.
