I very rarely drink normal coffee. I have a machine, I have gourmet Hawaiian beans, but honestly I'd rather go to the stands and pay for latte's or blended drinks. It's not that expensive as long as you aren't going to Starbucks or Seattle's Best. Mr. Coffee makes the new frappe machines though and hopefully if I don't get a dog for my birthday I'll get one of those. That'd be pretty sweet.Earth2Mama wrote:Love coffee ... LOVE it!valentinebaby wrote:Like any good Washingtonian, ugh I can't believe I just called myself that, I love my coffee, and there's nothing better then sitting at the bus stop and seeing three Starbucks and two espresso stands, but I would trade it all for a frappe maker and a bialy. I mean english muffins and bagels just don't do it for me.
OMG ... can't go a day without drinking it. Sometimes, I have 3 cups a dayBut, what do you expect from someone who's drank a cup since the age of eight?

Re: The Official "Complain About Life" Thread
I don't mind rainy days......I don't mind cold days....but what I do HATE...is COLD/RAINY days!!
It's once again cold here in Alabama...you have to understand the weather here
You see north Alabama is just close enough to the Gulf of Mexico and just close enough to the colder areas of the rest of the US North. So one week we'll have cold air from up north blow down on us and it'll be twenty degrees or less for two weeks. But than a warm wet front from the Gulf of Mexico will blow up from the South and hit us and it'll be raining and sixty for a week.
We can go back and forth all freaking winter.
But as of now it's freaking cold and raining.God help us if it drops below freezing tonight and all of this turns to ice/snow.We don't do to well with ice/snow

Told Hubby about the yummy frappe maker and I think the possibility of getting a dog for my birthday went totally out the window. Sad times.

Last night I was on the phone with my sister. (which I don't get to do alot) Was talking about her wedding. Then the power goes out and I hear some kid yell "What the hell did you do?" I went out side and saw a truck that hit one of the power polls outside. Some kid was doing donuts outside and hit it. The stupid kid also called the cops 10mins later saying someone took his car.

ROFL The dumb ass just didn't want to get in trouble. He was probably drunk too. You know I never did anything reckless like that as a teenager then again I don't even know how to drive so I guess that was never an issue.NotYourChick wrote:Last night I was on the phone with my sister. Re: The Official "Complain About Life" Thread
Well, at the time of my brother's joy ride, he was only 15. After court, they made him wait until he was 18 yrs of age and had paid off the more than $1000 fine. It happened in NJ, and the legal age to drive there is 17 yrs old (not that long of a wait really)NotYourChick wrote:They need to raise the driving age.

But, my parents did make him pay the fine all by himself, they never contributed to it. So, for the next year, he worked at a gas station and OMG ... came home smelling of gas constantly. Anytime I smelled gasoline at home, I knew it was him and that he had just come home.

They actually have in most places. I know Oregon and Washington or on a graduated system, which basically means that until they're 18, there's a lot of restrictions on how many people can be in their car, how late they can drive. I did a whole article about it when I was taking journalism. I'm still not sure if I actually agree with it or not.NotYourChick wrote:They need to raise the driving age.
