Once again single on the big day for love...and once again I will be working Sunday for I have nothing better to do on the day.

Wow, this is my first single Valentine's Day in years.

Just got back into town and had a kick ass Valentine's Day. It's my 8th year straight of spending it be myself, but at least this year, I got to spend it with my two new loves ... my niece Daniella and my nephew Nicholas. Who says 4 year old and 18 month old babies don't know how to have fun?

Happy Single Awareness day ... ha ha ha I am blessed this year, because my parents have had 30+ years of Valentine's Days and will celebrate 35 years of marital bliss in August. My oldest sister has had 10+; she and her husband will celebrate 10 years in August, and my other sister has had almost 4+; she and her husband will celebrate 2 years in June. My grandparents had 50+ years of Valentine's Days, and that, I believe, is one of the few blessings that I love about my family.

Could give a rat's ass about this holiday... so friggin' commercialized and overrated.


And that's just THIS woman's prospective. It may sound bitter to some, but believe me it really isn't. You don't need the love of a significant other to give you value or self worth. If you do, you must NOT love yourself that much.
