Majandra will be on the tv show Friends With Better Lives. Its starts in March 2014 on cbs I believe.

It's on CBS?

This whole time I had been thinking it was an ABC family show.

Where did I get that idea from?

Man, I need to get it together.

I'm glad I found out. I have a chance of actually watching it,
now that I know it's NOT a cable network show.

Got NO cable. Boo!

I found it so interesting, and so funny!

Love that she uses humour to get her point across.
And I appreciate her directness - NO sugarcoating.

She has a voice and a writing style that gets her message
out, while keeping you entertained and informed.

Another great article!

I'm so fascinated to learn the experiences of
actors, and other entertainers in show biz.

I understand that an actor's appearance plays a part
in the roles they are offered, but it sucks to see that
the industry is slow to broaden their view in accepting
the diversity that is Latin America!

This cookie cutter concept of what defines a Hispanic/Latin American
is outdated and has got to go. And it's so important to represent all
types, via the medium that is television and film, because millions
are being shown a limited view, and this view is essentially a lie.

The fact is, Majandra - and so many others - are being typecast based on their
phenotype, and it seems NO consideration is given to their heritage/culture(s).

I think this article does NOT apply just to those of Hispanic/Latin
descent, but to anyone who are examples of ethnic ambiguity, and
cannot be clearly defined and categorized by S.O.C.I.E.T.Y.


Anyhoo... I think I went too deep. Time to end this rant.
