Chapter 90 Feedback

Yay for long parts! That always leaves me excited!

Wouldn't you love to be a fly on the wall while Liz was gone? I'd love to know what was said between Max and Maria. Obviously Maria's probably more mad at him then some of the others since he was involved in Liz's tests and all but it seems almost like it's more than that. You've got me itching to find out what was said! I can see Max being defensive of his bonded and things escalating quickly between the two of them. Hmm... Gonna give us any clues?

On that note, as much as Liz loves Maria she's not going to stand for Maria treating Max like that. Not when he's gone through so much for her and not when they're bonded so deeply. If push came to shove Liz would choose Max every time. And I don't think Liz is so weak any more that she won't quickly and fully put a stop to Maria's attitude towards Max. She's just as protective towards him. And she knows that Max is probably the (main) reason why Maria is going to be allowed to retain her memories.

I loved the closeness between M/L in this chapter. It reminded me (in a way) of the innocent "bubble moments" that they had in the first part of the story. The part where Max automatically pulls her behind him to protect her from Maria was also a favorite. Whether Maria appreciated seeing their closeness or not right now it'll definitely help later on as she gets used to the idea of Max and Liz together. And, really, they were keeping it PG given how easily they get carried away. *laughs*

I'm glad that Maria had at least a few minutes to ask some questions and get some answers. Though I have to wonder how honest Alex was being. He might not ever be inclined to make people feel worse but he's had to have done it before even if it was only during practice or training sessions. He'd need to know how to influence the full range of emotions on people and, if the situation called for it, how to create negative feelings in people as well. Given how high up his family is in rank he'd have a lot of expectations on him when the time came for him to fully step into his father's place - whatever that fully entails.

The number of Antarians intrigues me. Overall I thought there would be more. Both spread out and in Roswell. Maybe there were more at one point? When things were happening when Liz was a child? Even with natural selection/early deaths (like in the instance of David) it seems as though there would be more. Hmm... Maybe Antarians don't have as many children. It was hinted at that their pregnancies can be difficult. Curiouser and curiouser...

My first thought when Michael knocked Maria out again was that he was doing it to move her quickly and without a distraction or fight from her. As I thought about it though I realized that it's probably much more serious than that. If she were to look at the wrong person during battle they could have forced her into the line of fire. Or forced her to go with them to undergo lord knows what. That's not exactly going to be comforting to her when she's brought to again. Especially when she finds out that full bloods can change shapes. She's likely going to be skittish meeting people's eyes for awhile. How would you know the person was who they said and that they weren't an imposter who wanted to kill you? Poor Michael. If he saved her out of affection (or even full out love) then it's going to be hard on him to see this once vibrant and fierce girl not even feeling safe enough to look people in the eye. He'll have his work cut out for him. But maybe that's a good thing. Everyone else is getting close. Max and Liz. Isabel and Alex. Michael and Maria deserve a shot too.

I'm curious as to who is there. The cliffhangers, Jo! These cliffhangers! I don't think it's Command but then you've thrown me for a loop before. Maybe the mayor? Whoever it is hopefully the "bad guys" won't all be killed. The group needs as much leverage as they can get right now and if they can get info from the other side somehow... Hmm... Speaking of bad guys I'm still interested in learning how Michael dispatched (at least) two guys who were going after Maria. There were obviously more (usually at least four in a team) if they followed them back to the hostel and then called for reinforcements so quickly. Hmm...

Hi everyone!

How's life? Mine is busy - still. Which you might have concluded due to my absence.

I've just moved and I'm still unpacking in the evenings after work. I only have Saturdays off from work and they've recently been spent on unpacking... But I try and write a sentence here and there.

You don't have to worry about this story ending up unfinished etc. because I'm not suffering writer's block. I have lots and lots of inspiration. I just have to find the time to put it down in words so you can actually read it.

I don't know when I'll be updating next time, but I have some time this afternoon and will try and finish the next chapter then. If I do, I'll immediately send it off to editing and hopefully it'll be up by this weekend at the latest.

Aren't moving boxes fun? I think you should save some and build a castle with them. Or a fort. The "good aliens" could use some help right now it seems. Maybe they can use them as a defensive position against the "bad aliens" that are there now. Whatcha think? Sure, cardboard is flammable and all but no defensive position is truly perfect.

Actually... Le Boyfriend and I ended up inside a huuuge box which had previously contained one part of the new couch. It was ridiculously cozy in there. Just like when you were a kid, building fortresses with blankets. The opening was on the side, so we had a ceiling and everything. We stayed there for at least 20 minutes.

No wonder moving is going slowly...

Thanks for answering to our concerns; we were already thinking the worse of it! Kinapped by Aliens or so but a new flat was never in mind but, for you, the lot to do which go with; I feel sorry for you, it's a hard work!
