"I'm ok I guess- Max and I were dancing before, it was- fun" Tess says. I looked at her and nodded. I had seen that. The dancing. I wasn't sure how to feel about that.
"It looked like you and Maria were having a really serious talk, anything I should know about?" she asks then with some sort of teasingly voice.
I shook my head. "Nothing. It was just really...Nothing" I said. Nothing was so true, but I didn't feel like talking about it right at the moment. Or with anyone except Maria herself. I got up and gave my hand to Tess.
"Would you like to dance..?" I asked as normal as possible.

"Sure...let's get you home okay...?" Liz says to me as we walk out of the stall we were both occupying and leave the ladies room. As we step out into the club and make our way through the gyrating people, I spot Max with that mystery girl, they're both talking to someone.
I stop and try to make out his face through the smoky haze, he looks familiar. Turning to Liz, I point to them and say "Hey isn't Max and that girl talking to the guy you were dancing with earlier" I ask, wincing slightly from the pounding pain in my head, made worse by the pounding of the music.

OOC: not too sure about this, hope it works ok though

“Hey isn’t Max and that girl talking to the guy you were dancing with earlier…?”
I don’t miss the way Maria winces, and inwardly I have to admit I’m doing similar – albeit for a different reason… Max and that girl… I wonder if they’re going out… I guess I don’t know that much about him as yet…even if I would like to… I swallow and bite my lip, telling myself not to be silly. It’s the same thing over again as it was with Tess, and I need to remember the same thing… Max and I can never be, even if he were interested…it’s too dangerous…
I force myself to look over in the direction that Maria is pointing and nod, a little distracted, “Yeah…it looks like it…” I murmur softly.
Adam was pretty nice…but he’s not Max… I know I need to stop this…I’m verging on obsessive…but I can’t…
If only there were a way…if only…I…
Just then this girl from school walks right in front of us…not appearing to see either me or Maria… It’s like she’s a zombie or something… I look at her and even try to say hi, but she just keeps walking round without saying anything.
This place is really getting weird… I look over at Maria again, puzzled, concerned, and right at this moment in time, very eager to make an exit. “Come on…let’s get out of here…”

Liz turns to look at Max and the mystery girl and I see her expression change from her caring concern for me to saddening disappointment. I hate to see her so upset, but unfortunately there was nothing I could do to help. Heck, I was in the same boat.... the same sinking boat.
Out of nowhere a girl from our school, Pam Troy, stumbles up to Liz and I looking completely weirded out. Her eyes appeared glazed over and her movements seem oddly mechanical. I furrow my brow as my head starts to pound from the music and alcohol.
"Hey Pam, see your having as good a night as we are" I say wincing as I talk, the pain in my head intensifying. She says something, though it sounds less like words and more like a groan.
"Come on let's get out of here" Liz says, looking a little freaked out by Pam. Pam lifts her hands like she's going to hug me and moves towards me. "Yeah, you know what Pam, I'm not in much of..." I never get to finish my sentence as Pam lunges at me and grabs a firm hold on my neck.
"AGHH, GET HER OFF OF ME...." I scream, looking at Liz, who is herself screaming in shock. The people surrounding us have now stopped dancing and have begun backing away, clearing the dancefloor around us. I watch as Liz runs behind Pam and try to pull her off, but it doesnt do any good at all, Pam does not budge. In fact she has now intensified her grip on my neck , depriving me further of much needed oxygen.

We need Emmylala to edit out her post and post something different here so we can go on.
I'm going to try to do a Max, but he really needs a Cameron or an Adam...

Before Adam or Cameron answer, I spy Liz with Maria. Maria doesn't look good and it seems that she's leaving. Damn. I haven't even had a chance to say hello to her. Would it be too incredibly rude to dump these two and go talk to her now?
Yeah, it would be. Besides, I need to know how serious this Adam guy is.
"So, yeah. I hope you like it here. There's a few wierdos but mostly there's a lot of really nice people..."

"Uh, on second thought, maybe I'd feel better if I just sat for a while" I say pointing to a table that has just been vacated. "Ok?" I ask Liz.

"Yeah, I'm Max," Max responds to my brother, shaking his hand.
"I've just been meeting with your sister. I understand you'll both be going to West Roswell High?" He asks, and my brother seems to remain quiet.
I notice that Max's gaze goes elsewhere and I can't help but wonder what he's looking for. "So, yeah. I hope you like it here. There's a few wierdos but mostly there's a lot of really nice people..." He adds as he seems to remember who he's standing with.
I smile, "Weirdo's, that's something I'm used to seeing and the type of people I've been known to befriend at times," I comment with a laugh. Part of me wondered whether he would see me as a weirdo as well, or if to him I'd just be a freakshow if he ever knew about what and who I am.
"We're actually looking forward to seeing the new school. So, umm. I guess we should be going." Unfortunately, before I can even completely finish the thought, I feel my amulet growing warm again and begin glancing around. Something is there, a Follower of the Atrox, one that's presence felt strong, overwhelmingly strong. I felt the fear radiating from some of the kids around me and knew why. This Follower was causing it.
Turning to look at Adam, I said simply, "We have to go." Without waiting for a response from him, I looked at Max, "You may want to get your friends out of here." I said this simply as I drew my amulet into my hand and began moving through the crowd. As I did, I began calling out, "O Mater Luna, Regina nocis, adiuvo me nunc!"
I repeated this as I found the source of the feeling and my amulet began glowing a brilliant violet. The man stood well over six foot, broad shoulders, dark eyes that seemed bottomless and long dark hair. However, as I neared him, I saw the flashes of flourescence from his eyes and knew that he had to have been a hunter.
"Ahh, I have found a Daughter to play with." The man spoke clearly, not caring that he could be heard as the sounds of music seemed to lessen. I stood there, planting my feet and looking up at his eyes clearly. He met my gaze and I felt him try to touch my mind.
"Don't mess with me asshole!" I screamed out even as I hoped that the kids that had begun to scatter would stay out of the way. As I watched, he held up a hand aiming towards some girl I didn't know and I quickly ran to push her out of the way as a small ball of energy raced past my shoulder. "You'll have to do better then that." I called out even as I concentrated on Mena, Alex, and Adam, sending them all the same thing.
I could use some help here. Hunter Follower here. Alex, I know you don't understand but just repeat what you'll hear me praying. You'll know it. Damn, I hate not having more time to gradually work thing into people. Once again, I begin praying, "O Mater Luna, Regina nocis, adiuvo me nunc!"

Kyle asks me to dance and although I pause a second, thinking of my abortive attempt with Max earlier, I smile and accept. Kyle is pretty much always fun- he makes me laugh and he's a pretty good dancer in an athletic kind of way. He takes my hand and leads me to the dance floor. I ignore Max, talking to that girl and some other guy as we move to the center of the floor. Deciding to forget everything from earlier I grab Kyle's other hand and start to move to the music.
I'm just starting to get into it, and Kyle is starting to smile and laugh too when all of a sudden everyone around us starts moving and freaking out. I can't see anything but Kyle puts a protective arm around me and we crawl under one of the tables ringing the dance floor. Everything is chaos and confusion and I hold Kyle's hand tightly, not sure whether it is more dangerous to run from where we are hiding, or to stay here.

Maria and I are on our way out, but as we approach the door Maria seems to change her mind. “Uh…on second thought, maybe I’d feel better if I just sat for a while…ok…?”
She points to a recently vacated table, and I nod although I can’t deny I’m puzzled… She definitely looks like she need to go home…not stay in a club with smoking, loud noise and booze…
Still, if this is what she wants… I nod again, slipping my arm around her slightly as we head over to the table and sit down.
I begin to look round the room again. I guess things look okay, but somehow I can’t shake the feeling that something isn’t right… I reach up to my neck automatically, coming to rest on something which is definitely not my amulet, and then I remember the fact that it’s back at home… [/i]Why do I really wish I had it here…?[/i]
Unable to shake this feeling, I close my eyes, concentrating and trying something that I’ve only done on very rare occasions before. Concentrate, centre…focus on the time I want…
Suddenly the music’s gone, and as I open my eyes, I realise that I’ve succeeded. I’m back in my room, and from the look of the clock, it’s just before I left for the club.
“Honey, you’re going to be late if you’re not careful…”
I shake my head and smile as I hear my mother, just as I had earlier in the evening. “I know mom, I won’t be long!” I call back just as I did before as I head over to my vanity table and reach for the small wooden box which stands there. Opening it, my hand immediately closes over the necklace there. I swap it quickly with the one I’m currently wearing, then close my eyes once more to return to where I was.
The return of the music tells me I’ve been successful, and I open my eyes to turn my attention back to Maria. Something’s wrong though…well two things…for one, I’m not now imagining the strange actions of the kids in the club…everyone’s scattering, and the girl who Max was with is calling out some strange words… The other thing is something that I’ve always thought was a trick of the light when it’s happened before…I know it’s not now though… My amulet is glowing…
Reaching up to touch it, I can’t help thinking that the words she’s speaking sound familiar…
Automatically, without thinking about it, I find myself repeating her words, chanting – I guess that’s how you would describe it – with her.
