Chapter Twenty One

Liz yawned and opened her eyes as she sighed and snuggled under the warm sheets. "Morning" Max whispered as he watched Liz open her eyes in a sleepy daze. "Morning" she whispered smiling and then closed her eyes.

"I will let you sleep." Max whispered softly as he kissed her forehead. Liz sighed and pulled the covers up closer to her as Max left and went into the kitchen.

"Isabel did you get intouch with your brother?" Alex said as he dried his wet hair with a towel after taking a shower.

"No I haven't heard from him. I hope he is alright. Alex can I use your phone?" Isabel said worried as she looked at him.

"Of course." Alex said handing her the phone. Isabel dialed the number and let it ring a few time before a voice was heard on the other line.

"Hello" a femail voice said on the other end.

"Oh Hi um I was wondering if my brother was there?" Isabel said trying to figure out who the woman was at Max's apartment.

"Isabel it's Tess, Tess Harding."

Isabel blink her eyes open in shock. "Oh hey Tess well isn't this a surprise. um how...how are you?" Isabel said still in shock to hear his brothers high school ex girlfriend on the phone.

"Oh me I'm, I'm great! Never better." Tess said cheerfully over the phone as Isabels mind started wondering as a mental picture of what Tess and her brother might of been doing the night before.

She shook her head of the distusting image and went back to finding her brother.

"Oh um is Max there?" Isabel said waitig paciently for her answer. "Oh no He is in Boston something about a business trip. He will be back sunday.

I was just about to leave his apartment anyway I live in New York now and I was just catching up with him about good old days.He might have his cell phone on him.You can reach him that way." Tess said

Isabel breathed a sigh of reliefe "Oh really thats great. Just great. Thanks Tess. Nice hearing from you."

"You too bye" Tess said as the phone clicked off.

Isabel hung up and then started dialing his brothers number.

Liz opened her eyes to the smell of fesh coffee and eggs as she sat up while Max placed the tray in frount of her.

"Max you really didn't have to do this." She sighed as she sipped her coffee. "I know but I wanted to." he said as he tossled her hair as she smiled.

"It's such a beautiful morning" Liz said as she looked out the window. "Yes it is" Max said as he took hold of her hand and kissed her. They smiled and looked deep into each others eyes and then Max's cell phone rang.

"Hello" He said annoyed.

"Well Hello to you too. It that anyway to treat your sister?" Isabel said rolling her eyes. "Isabel. Hey how are you?" Max said cheerfully.

"I am great listen I know you are busy but I wanted to let you know that me and Alex Whitman Yes Alex, are coming in to NY for Michaels exhibit and we were wondering if we could stay at your place. Our flight gets in around 7 sunday night." Isabel said joyfully.

"Sure I would love for you guys to stay. You are more then welcome." Max said smiling from head to toe.

"OK great see you sunday. Love you bye"

"Love you too. Bye Isabel." Max said as he hung up his phone. "Who was that?" Liz asked intreaged. "My sister and Alex Whitman are coming to NY on sunday for Michaels exhibit. She just called to ask if they could stay with me." Max said smiling.

"Really aw thats great. Maria must be estatic about Alex coming." Liz said smiling. "Of course you know you are more then welcome to come. The exhibit opens friday night at the Met" Max said as he kissed her. "Oh thats great. I can't wait to see them!" Liz said as she kissed him back.

"Listen Liz. I feel terrible for doing this but is it ok that I cut this trip short. I really have to get back to NY to get my Apartment ready for guests." Max said looking at her with big eyes.

"It's ok I understand. Besided I will be seeing you soon enough." Liz said as she kissed Max passionatly.

"god what you do to me Miss Parker." Max whisperd as he pushed a piece of stray hair behind her ear and staired deep into her eyes before he kissed her again holding her close to him.

"When you come to NY don't forget where we were." Max whispered into her ear as he kissed her one last time before getting up from the bed.

"Don't worry I won't" Liz sighed as they looked at each other one last time before Max packed his things and headed towards the door.

Chapter Twenty Two

Max entered his apartement in NY and sat down in the chair by his desk. he was exhausted from the drive to Boston. It was close to 6 at night and the evening sun was setting. He sighed all he wanted to do was relax and sleep.

He flipped through some papers he had on his desk and put them away trying to get the apartment ready for when his sister Isabel and Alex would arrive.

"I couldn't find a towel" Tess said shly as she batted her eyes.

"Jesus Tess" Max yelled in shock as he saw her in her full glory naked in frount of him and dripping wet.

She then moved closer to him. "This is just like old times" she said as she leaned down and passionatly kissed him. They kissed for a bit as the chair leaned back a little and then Max pulled away in shock.

"Whats wrong?" Tess said softy looking into his eyes. "Everything" Max said as he got up from chair.

"So How was Boston? You left rather quickly?" Tess said huffing as she pulled a towel around her.

"It was fine. Wait I should be the one asking questions. Like why the hell are you still here?" Max said angry as he staired at Tess.

"Don't be mad Max. I'd...I'd throught I you would want some company when you returned home. Is that a crime?" She said sweetly as she moved closer to him.

Max sighed "No Tess. Sorry I snapped." he said smiling weakly. "It's ok" She said smiling as she moved her way closer to him.

" You know Max we really didn't have a lot of time to talk the other night. I mean you and I alone that is." She said softy as her hand moved up Max's arm. She could feel his breath quicken and his face became flush as she looked up at him and batted her eyes.

"And we have so much catching up to do" She said breathlessly as she ran her hand down his cheek and smiled leaning in close and kissed him.

"Tess" Max signed. "Yes" Tess whispered. "I can't." he said pulling away from her and walking to the other side of the room.

"You were always a shy one Max" Tess laughed annoyed. "You know we could of had the perfect relationship if you would of just sleeped with me!" she spat.

"Oh really Tess you call our relationship perfect. Perfect was far from it is that why you slepted with Kyle? Because I wasn't putting out or was it some other reason because I would love to know!" Max said throwing her words back at her with vengence.

Tess looked at Max in shock. "Slepted with Kyle?" she said confused.

"I saw you that night Tess! When I went back to your place to see if you were ok after drinking that night. God I can't believe I actually cared about you! But in return all I felt was pain! Seeing you with Kyle was like putting a knife in my heart. It really hurt Tess!

I mean Kyle and I were friends. I never felt so used in my life. I can't believe I trusted you. But the part that hurt the most was that I actually throught I loved you." Max said as emotion filled his voice with the pain and hurt he felt bottle up inside over the years.

"Well what was I suposted to do let everyone think that I was dating a boy who was too afraid of his own shadow when it came to sex. They laughed at me saying I wasn't woman enough to be dating a real man." Tess cried.

"What does that have to do with it who cares what everyone thinks. You don't change your morals or who you are because of some shallow stupid idots Tess!! So is that why you made up the rumor about us after the Prom!!" Max yelled

"Yes look Max you don't know what I went through. I went through hell because of you. So when trying to seduce you the night of prom didn't work I thought the next best thing was to start a rumor. I mean it all made sense us waking up together in the same room the next day at Kyles."

"Wow and here I actually thought you were getting your life together but in truth you are still the same vicious person I knew back in high school. " Max yelled and then gain his composer.

"What happened to the girl I once knew that summer who had the light of the world in her eyes who had so much going for her and who wasn't afraid of who she was." Max said softy fighting back tears as he looked into her percing blue eyes.

"Shes dead! Look people change. I had to go through a lot to get where I am today. So don't tell me that I've changed when you certainlly haven't! You live in the past Max. Grow up and face reality!" Tess said as tears filled her eyes.

"I have it's you that need to grow up. I can't save you any more" Max said softy as Tess broke down and cried as she started to shake. "But Max I..." Tess sobbed.

"Please go." he said closing his eyes as he turned his back to her feeling the pain rush through him as the memories of his past came back to haunt him.

"Fine" Tess sighed as her tears flooded her face as she left the room and got dressed. She later emerged still crying as she went over to Max. She sobbed and then composed herself as Max staired at her. "Max despite everything that has happened I will always love you." she whispered softy.

Max looked at the fragal tear staned face of the woman in frount of him as a flash of the carefree girl he once knew came flashing before him of them in the desert as her laughter rang in his ears.

He swallowed back his tears feeling the lump forming in his throat. "I onced loved you. Good bye Tess." he whispered.

Tess nodded as a flood of tears ran down her face as she went to leave. She then stopped and looked at the man she loved long ago who loved her for her no matter what.

She gluped fighting back her sobs as she composed herself. "I hope you find her... Liz... And when you do. Love her as you once loved me. Good bye Max." Tess said softy as tears fell from her eyes as she closed the door behind her.

Chapter Twenty Three

The train ride was long as Liz looked out the window of the world flashing by as she sighed and started to day dream as the song "Do it Again" from Stroke 9 played in her disk man as she listened to her head phones.

She had left on the earliest train she could find and decided to surpirse Max. She couldn't wait to see the look on his face at the station as the train came to a hault.

"Hello Max" Liz said smiling from ear to ear when she saw him as she entered the apartment. "Liz oh my god Liz your here." He said as he hugged her and held her close. "Well I could just leave you here all alone." she sighed "Besides we still have some unfinished business to attend to." she whispered softy as they started kissing passionately.

"Liz" Max murmered against her ear. "Yes" she said looking deep into his eyes. "Um do you want to go somewhere?" he whispered. "Yes" Liz said as they kissed their way to his bedroom and fell onto the bed holding on to each other tight.

"Liz" Max moaned as he started kissing her neck and down her colar bone. "God you feel so good" Liz gasped with each sensation. "Don't stop" she whispered as she started unbottoning his shirt.

Their kisses deepened as the burining passion in them rose. Liz was now in her bra while Max was shirtless as their making out grew.

"Liz I missed you." Max said as he burring his face against her neck as his hands roamed her body. "I missed you" Liz said as she kissed him.

"Max make love to me" Liz whispered as she looked into his burning amber eyes. "I'd thought you'd ever ask" he said huskly as he pulled her into a hot passionate kiss igniting sparks of desire inside them as they held each other close in a tight embrase while their kisses intensefied.

"Next stop New York" the announcer called over the intercom as Liz woke with a sudden jolt waking from her dream as she gasped trying to catch her breath as she readjusted to her surroundings as the train rocked foward in steady rhythm along the track.

"Oh my god it's so good to see you" Isabel said as she rushed to give her brother a hug as Alex smiled. "Good to see you too Iz" Max said as he squeezed her tight.

"Alex Whitman I don't believe it after all these years how are you?" Max said as he and Alex hugged. He was still the tall lanky kid Max knew from long ago only he was more filled out and a little more mature looking but still had the same boyish qualties.

"Great. I am doing really well. Thanks again for letting us stay with you." Alex said beaming.

"Anytime.Make yourself at home." Max said taking their luggage and placed it in his guests bed room.

"Max you place is beautiful. It's so nice to be in NY for a chance." Isabel said sighing as she looked around the huge apartment.

"Thanks I try. Yes I will have to show you around." Max said grinning from ear to ear seeing his sister was finally here.

"Sorry to break up this happy reunion but I don't know about you guys but I am starving." Alex said as he looked at the the happy siblings. Max and Isabel laughed.

"You can say that again." Isabel said as she as she lightly punched her brother on the shoulder.

"I am hungry as well. Lets go I know a great place I can take you guys." Max said as the three made their way out of the apartment.

"I can't wait to see the look on Marias face when she see's me." Alex smiled as Max looked at him in shock. "Maria as in Maria Deluca?" Max said eyeing his friend.

"Yes Max the same Maria we went to high school with. Whats wrong with you?" Alex said trying to figure out Max's strange behavior. "Yes what is wrong with you Max?" Isabel said eyeing her brother.

"Nothing small world thats all" Max said thinking to himself how weird it was that Maria was best friends with Liz. It's not that Max didn't want to tell Isabel and Alex about Liz he just thought it would be better if she was there before he announced that they were going out.

"Maria was the one who invited me to Michaels art exhibit this friday. I can't wait to see her." Alex said as he finished up his meal.

The three of them had been enjoying a lovely italian dinner in little Italy at a resturant called Pasesano. It was a very nice and small resturant perfect for the little homecoming.

"So Max any one special in your life? I talked with Tess the other day at your place?" Isabel said eyeing her brother.

"Oh yeah Tess lives in NY now and she came over to catch up on old times. But to answer your question about having someone special in my life yes I do." Max said smiling as his sister lite up like a fire fly. "Really who is she? whats she like? How did you meet? I want details?" she said as excitment filled her voice.

"Well she lives in Boston near Harvard University. I meet her actually while picking up a painting for one of Michaels exhibits. She is a scientist really beautiful and intelliegent." Max said glowing as an image of Liz came into his head.

"Oh my god Max thats great. I am so happy for you. Finally you didn't fall for another dumb idot!!" Isabel said smiling.

"She sounds like a keeper" Alex said smiling. "Oh she is" Max said grinning. "So will we ever get to meet her?" Isabel said excited as she squeezed Alex's hand.

"She is coming to NY at the end of this week for Michaels exhibit actually." Max said sighing. "Oh my god I can't wait to see her" Isabel said happly. "Neither can I" Max sighed dreamly.

Chapter Twenty Four


Twlight was apon the city as Max,Isabel, and Alex enjoyed a relaxing time as they finished up dessert and caught up on old times.

"Oh man the Vicki Delanie party wow that was one crazy night. Man we rocked that place." Alex said smiling as a memory of him on stage with his band The Whits came into view as the crowd cheered and danced to the music.

"You can say that again. The amount of drunk people there was inscane. I still can't believe the whole class came!!! Do you remember how it was so packed we all had to go into the basement." Isabel said laughing.

"Yeah and then us fleeing from the cops as the two of us ran like lighting to your car." Alex said as he, Isabel, and Max laughed.

"Yeah wasn't that the night Kyle and his jock friends go the brilliant idea to play spin the bottle?" Isabel said rolling her eyes. " Yeah wait wasn't that the night you kiss Liz Parker Max?" Alex said as he catched his breath.

"I think so" Max said as he felt his cheeks getting red. "But that whole night is a blurr to me so maybe." he said trying to advoid the subject.

"Oh don't denie it Max I saw the two of you and from the looks of it you both were going all at it." Isabel said eyeying her brother.

"Dame that kiss was hot! It was like the kiss of the year, no the centuary, no it was like... like... the kiss of the millennium!" Alex said beaming.

"You know she had the biggest crush on you for years." Alex said smirking.

"Really?" Max said in shock. "Oh come on Max the girl was head over heals in love with you. She would practually worship the ground you walked on everytime you walked by. If I had know better I thought you had a crush on her as well the way you always staried at her." Isabel said smiling.

"I did not stair at her!" Max said defensively. "Oh so he dosn't denie it" Alex cried smiling.

"I just looked their is a big differnece!" Max said feeling the crimson in his cheeks change to a deeper shade.

"Really Max what's the difference I would love to know." Isabel said hoping her brother would admit his feelings.

"Isabel just drop it ok." Max said getting up from the tabel. "Ok but I am just stating facts." Isbabel said smiling to herself at her brothers reaction to her comments.

Alex smiled but was really quiet.He had remembered the conversation he had had with Liz about trying to find Max and the letter that confessed his undying love for her.

However he felt kind of sad being the one to break the news to her that he was taken. Alex knew Liz would be devasted but what could he do she had to know and get on with her life and stop trying to live this past dream.

He sighed "Well for what it's worth it was an amazing party and a corner stone fo all of us. Some great memores were made that night." Alex said as he got up from the tabel and helped clean up.

"Yes it was." Isabel and Max said together as they put he dishes away.

"Wow it's already 11 I really should get to bed." Isabel said looking at the clock. "Yeah me too" Alex said yawning.

Just then a knock was hear at the door. "Max are your expecting company at this time of night?" Isabel said in surprised.

"No" Max said confused as he made his way towads the door.

"Maybe it's your dream girl coming to take you away" Alex said laughing as Isabel elbowed him smirking as Max looked up at him "I dought it Alex" he said smirking as he opened up the door.

The next thing he knew he was engulfed into a passionate kiss as he held on tight as they wrapped their arms around each other as they entered the apartment as Alex and Isabel stood there with their jaws hanging open in shock.

Chapter Twenty Five

They broke from their kiss breathing hard and panting for air as they staired into each others eyes and then Isabel coughed breaking their trance and snapping them back to reality.

"Oh um Isabel Alex this is Liz Parker you remember Liz she is the woman I was telling you about that I meet in Boston" Max said grinning from ear to ear.

"Of course I remember Liz who could forget a smile like that!" Alex said as the two embraced. "Oh my god Alex it's so great to finally see you! Liz cried as she was reunited with her long lost childhood friend.

"The perfect Liz Parker and my brother. It's just too good to be true." Isabel said as she gave Liz a hug. "It's so great to see you again Isabel after all these years." Liz said embrasing her high school classmate from long ago.

Isabel smiled and looked at her brother. "This is amazing." she cried " Sit down.Please make yourself at home." Isabel said as she took Liz's luggage and placed it in the living room before joing the others on the couch.

"So wait how did you meet?" Alex said as sat on the couch next to Isabel and looked at Liz. "Well as you know I am now living in Boston working at Harvard medical and I just moved into a new apartment." Liz said.

"So I get this call from Michael one night asking me to pick up this painting for him for his exhibit. Only problem is that he couldn't get off of work to get it. He tells me it's at a Mr. Broady Davis apartment located in Boston.

Believe me I was so mad at him asking me to drop everything and take a weekend trip to Boston but being the good friend that I am I said that I would go and pick it up." Max said beaming.

"Well It turns out that Broady Davis was the former owner of my new apartment so one night Max just showed up to pick up the painting and the rest is history." Liz said smiling as she looked at Max.

"Thats inscane Liz. Wow what are the odds. I mean after all these years it's got to be fate or something." Alex said in shock. "He does have something there Liz I mean it just seems too good to be true." Isabel said smiling at her and her brother.

"I know. Wow Liz this is definally a surprise I didn't think you were coming to New York until thrusday." Max said smiling as he squeezed Liz's hand. "I know I just could wait that long. Dr. Holt was more then happy to give me the week off. She said I needed a vacation. Besides now I can spend the week with you and my friends." Liz said smiling.

"Wow talk about a reunion. Oh my god Maria is going to flip when she sees you Liz. You look amazing after all these years." Alex said grinning from ear to ear. " Thank you. You don't look so bad yourself. Wow it's going to be crazy The three musketeers reunited. New York will never be the same." He said as they laughed.

"Your right it won't" Isabel said laughing. "We will call Maria in the morning I am sure she is dying to see us." Alex said as he yawned. "Well I think we have had enough excitement for one day." Isabel said as she tried to force her eyes to stay open.

"I think your right. You and Alex can sleep in the guest bedroom. If you need anything just let me know. It's great to have you guys here." Max said as he hugged and kissed his sister good night.

" It's great seeing you!" Isabel said as she squeezed her brother tight before letting go. "Good night Max and Liz see you in the morning." Alex said as he hugged them good night before closing the door to the guest bedroom.

Once the door was closed Max looked at Liz "Come here" he said. "What" Liz said looking at him. "I can't believe you just showing up with out even so much as a call? I can't believe you think you can just come to New York anytime you please." he said in a low firm voice with a playful hint in his eyes.

"Well I am sorry for wanting to surprise you. I thought you would be happy. If you want I can leave." She said in shock as she looked at him.

He then started laughing. "Whats so funny?" She said confused. "Nothing you just surprise me. How do you do it?" He said grinning.

"Do what Max?" Liz said looking up at him with innocent eyes. "Make me fall in love with you all over again." He whispered as he kissed her. Liz smiled "So where will I be sleeping? She said as she looked around the apartment.

"With me of course" he said flashing one of his sexy smiles at her. Liz laughed and then kissed him. Their kiss deepened as the waves of passion crashed over them. "um maybe I shouldn't sleep with you." Liz whispered softly as she gulped and looked into his eyes. Max then kissed her as the two of them smiled.

"Liz I am just so glad you are here." He said giving her a hug as she sighed feeling her nerviousness slip away from her. "Me too." She whispered.

"Come on I will put your stuff away." He said grabbing her hand as he picked up her luggage with the other and lead her into his bedroom.

"This is my bedroom." He said placing her luggage down.

"Oh my god Max it's beautiful" She said looking around at the huge room with cream colored walls and dark red curtians with darkwood furnature and a huge four posted bed in the middle of the room made of darkwood complete with a dark red bed spead to top it all off. "Pretty nice. But the best part is the view. Come here." He said taking her hand and walked towards the huge window.

From the window Liz could see a thousand light twinkling from buildings in the distant as the tall shadows of buildings shown under a blanket of stars as she looked down on the busy city below.

"Oh my god it's so breathtaking. You are so lucky to afford a place like this." She said smiling. "It's one of the reasons why I brought the place the view is incredible" he said looking at her.

"Well I really should get ready for bed." Liz sighed "ok. I'll let you change." he said as he grabbed his pj's and left the room.

Max changed in the living room into his pj's while Liz changed in his room. After a few minutes Liz said it was ok for him to enter as he walked in.

The sight he saw took his breath away.Liz was wearing a dark red silk night gown with thin strapps her hair hung loosly around her framing her face as she glowed in the dim light.

"Max are you ok?" Liz whispered as she looked deep into his eyes. He blinked his eyes and gulped at the sound of her voice. "God help him if he was going to get any sleep tonight" he thought as he came out of his trace. "Yeah I'm fine" he whisperd horsely as he staired at her.

He then made his way to the bed and pulled down the sheets as they both climbed in. Liz looked breathtaking against the white sheets as her red silk night gown stood out like a rose in bloom. She pulled the sheets around her and snuggled in and sighed feeling the softness around her as she lay her head down on the pillow.

Max lay on his side and looked at her. Seeing Liz laying in bed next to him made him think of how right it felt being with her. He never felt so complete in his whole life. He knew he wanted her next to him forever.

He then leaned down and kissed her. She reached up and pulled her arms tight around him as their kiss deepened. The held on to each other tight as their mouths and toungs duled with each other in their seducative dance as their passion grew.

"Max" Liz sighed as her fingured ran through his hair. "I am so happy I am here. Good night Max." she said smiling as she kissed him before falling back down against the pillow. "Me too" he whisperd. "Sleep well Liz and sweet dreams." He said as he kissed her as she closed her eyes as Max curled up close next to her as they both fell into a peaceful nights sleep.

Chapter Twenty Six

Liz yawned and snuggled under the warm blankets as Max held her tight. "I wish we could stay like this forever" she sighed enjoying the feeling of Max's arm belown her chest as he held her body. "Me too." he whispered into her ear as he closed his eyes and then they heard a knock on the door.

"Come in" Max groaned as Isabel entered. She smiled at her brother and Liz. They looked so cute in the huge bed together. "Wake up sleepy head" Isabel said as she sat on teh edge of the bed as Max and Liz looked up at her and smiled. "Morning Isabel" Liz yawned as she smiled at her.

"So I was thinking that today we get up and go out for breakfast after Alex and I go for a run in centural park and then meet up with Maria and Micheal and tour the city for the rest of the day like hit up the empirer state building and go to the Plaza and time squar and madison squar garden and..." Isabel said as she filpped through a New York travel guide.

"Whoa easy there Izz. We will have plenty of time to do all of that. Your here for a week. Lets just start with centural park and breakfast and getting in touch with Maria and Michael for now." Max said as he sat up in bed.

"Your right sorry I got a head of myself." she said laughing. "Hey Isabel lets go" Alex said as he walked in the room dressed in his running gear. "Oh morning Max and Liz" Alex said smiling. "Alright I am coming. You sure you don't want to come?" Isabel said looking at her brother.

"No I am alright." Max said. "Oh come on it will be like old times. You and me running I still can beat you you know after all these years." Isabel said smiling.

"Oh really" Max said as he raised an eyebrow. "Liz if you must know my brother is not as fast as he claims to be" Isabel said smiling as Liz laughed. "Ok fine you are so dead Isabel let race" Max said getting up from the bed and got some running cloths. He changed in the bathroom and emerged as Isabel and Alex waited. "Liz you can run with me if you want and let the sibling riveraly play itself out." Alex said laughing.

"Sure Alex that would be great." Liz said as she got some cloths together and changed. The four then left the apartment as the morning rays were shinning over the city as they headed for centural park.

"Ha I win after all these years I finally beat you!" Max said triumphantly as they entered the apartment after a long run. "Ok fine you win this time but next time I might not be as easy on you." Isabel said laughing.

"Hey we made it." Alex said as he tried to catch his breath as he and Liz stumbled into the apartment. "Dame you guys are fast." Alex said as he and Liz passed out on the couch. "Are you ok?" Max asked looking at the two tired and flushed faces. "Yeah we are fine." Alex and Liz said breathlessly. "Get some water you will feel better." Max said as he poured them a glass.

They stayed like that for sometime recovering from their run and then took turns taking a shower. Aftwards Alex called Maria saying that they would meet her for lunch and a little sight seeing around 12. They then got dessed and went to breakfast.

"Oh my god Liz" Maria screamed as she ran and gave her friend a huge hug. "It's great to see you!" she cried as she held her long time best friend. "Maria it's great to see you!!" Liz said beaming.

"You look great turn around let me see you" Maria cried as Liz made a 360 and then stopped. "You look amazing Liz." Maria beamed as Liz smiled. "You look great as well." Liz said as she felt tears of joy fill her eyes over the happy reunion.

"Alex Whitman" Maria said as she ran and hugged Alex nearly knocking him over in the process. "Maria It's great to see you. Wow you look great." Alex said grinning from ear to ear as he looked at her. "I have the two most beautiful woman in the world next to me!! Life is good." he said as the three placed their arms around each other smiling.

"Oh my god Max Evans. Is that you?" Maria said as she ran to hug Max. "Maria" Max said giving her a hug. "It's so nice to see you. I am so happy for you and Liz. Thats great news!" She said smiling. "Thanks Maria it;s great to see you too." Max said smiling. Maria then greated Isabel and started chatting a mile a minute to ther friends as they walked down the street.

"Woman go figure." Michael said laughing as he hugged Max. "Maxwell it's good to see you." He said smiling. "You too." Max said. "Oh you remember Liz Parker." Max said as Liz looked at him. "Liz Parker how could I forget a beautiful face like that. It's so good to see you." Michael said as he hugged her. "You too" Liz smiled hugging her friend from long ago.

"Well enough with the sappy reunion lets go I am starving." Micheal said as he and Max walked in frount of Maria and Liz towards the resturant. "Dame Liz you weren't kidding he is gorgeious no wonder you saw stars." Maria whispered as she looked Max up and down. "Maria!" Liz said in shock as her cheeks turned red.

"What I am just saying. You found a good one not only is he gorgeious but he is a sweetheart as well thats rare now a days." Maria said smiling. "Thanks Maria. What can I say I am really lucky."Liz said glowing.

"Can I join you two beautiful ladies?" Alex said from behind as he held his arms out to them. "Not at all sir" Liz said as the three laughed as they linked arms and walked down the street.

The six of them enjoyed a nice relaxing lunch as they caught up on each others lives and talked about found memories of the past.

"Maria I talked with Chis and Marko's and Nick and well the West Roswell High 10 year Reunion is in 2 years and we wanted to get the Whits back together and play at it. It would almost be like that show bands reunited on Vh1 and I was wondering if you would sing with us again?" Alex said as he looked at Maria as her eyes lite up. "Oh my god are you kidding I would love too! she cried with excitment.

"I missed you guys so much I can't wait to see Chris, Marko's and Nick again. Hey if you want I can even make a copy of a CD with songs The Whits played and we can sell it at the reunion if you want?" Maria said smiling. "Thats a great idea. I will let you know about rehersals when the date of the reunion gets closer." Alex said smiling.

"Wow 10 years it seems like yesterday we were in High School" Isabel said in shock as she looked at her old high school classmates.

"You can say that again." Max said as his mind drifted to the first day of school.

"Look Tess I got to go ok I will see you after 6 period out side on the court yard for lunch." Max said as he looked into Tess's bight blue eyes. "Ok I will be waiting by the tree. Good luck" She said as Max kissed her good bye and glanced at his schedule and headed to his 6 period class.

He walked into the room hoping it was the right number and sat down as the students around him were chatting about their summer vacation and school starting.

The class soon grew quite as the teacher walked in. "Hello and welcome to freshman Bio 101. I am your teacher Mrs. Walsh. Now I know that today is a big step for all of you entering High School, being in a new place, making new friends, it can be a little scary. However I do not mean to add to your freshman anexity so I will make this as painless as possible. You need to pick lab partners." She said as the class groaned.

"However keep in mind that who ever you pick you will be stuck with for the rest of your four years here at West Roswell High so chose wisely. After you have choosen please tell me who you picked so I can write your names down on my roster." Mrs. Walsh said as she looked at her book as a rummble of chairs and chatter was heard from the class.

Max froze feeling his heart pounding. He didn't know anyone in the class let alone the school. The only people he knew where his sister Isabel, her friend Vicki, his best friend Michael, and his girlfriend Tess non of which were anywhere in sight.

His nerves raced he was always shy by nature and the sistuation was killing him as he looked down at his schedule hoping the bell would ring any minute.

And then he heard a quite and shy voice say "Do you want to be lab partners" he blinked his eyes "What" he said breaking out of his daze and looked up turning his head to the left to were he heard the voice.

"I said you do you want to be lab partners" a girl with long brown hair, wearing blue jeans and a red tank top complete with a red plade botton down shirt that was open and covered her shoulders said as she looked at him. She glanced at him for a second and then looked away at the ground before looking at him again.

Max blinked his eyes as he looked at the girl sitting next to him. He was dreaming.She was beautiful, absolutely breathtaking. This was all a dream."Wake up Max" he said to himself and then answered surprised he could find his voice. "Sure" he said softly feeling his cheeks turn red. The girl smiled slightly and bit her lower lip as a red tint formed on her cheeks. She then looked at him.

"Names Max. Max Evans." he said smiling as his heart pounded hard in his chest as he looked at her. "Liz. Liz Parker." She said quitly as she smiled.

They then looked at each other for a second and then glanced away and looked stairight ahead as the teachers voice snapped them back into reality. "Please say your last names and who are with when I call you." Mrs. Walsh said as she read down the roster of names. "Evans" "Liz" Max said when he heard his name.

"Liz, Evans her last name?" Mrs. Walsh said as she looked at him as Max felt his cheecks redden from embarrassment. "Parker" he said as he heard the class laugh slightly. "Parker and Evans" Mrs. Walsh said as she wrote down the names.

"Evans that has a nice ring to it."Liz said as she looked at him with her head sighlty tilted as if she was deep in thought pondering something."Dont you think?" she said as looked at him.

"I guess. I never really thought of my last name having a ring to it but ok" Max said shruggling his shoulders. "Well it sounds nice" Liz said glancing at him before she opened up her note book and started writting notes down.

The rest of the period the class was busy starting their first lab as they drew and labled things and took down notes as to what they saw in their microscopes on the different slides.

Max was so caught up in working with Liz on the lab he was shocked when he heard the bell ring. The class gathered up their things as Mrs Walsh gave them the homework assigment for the night. Liz handed the lab in and then gathered up her books.

"So I guess we are stuck with each other for four years." Max said smiling as he packed his bag and looked at her. " I guess so" Liz said as she zippered up her bag and threw her back pack on. "Well it was nice meeting you Liz Parker." Max said looking into her eyes and smiled. "You too Max Evans" Liz said as she looked at him before turning around and left the room.

Max watched her leave and sighed for some reason hearing Liz say his full name never sounded so good.

"Maxwell" Michael said shappng his fingures in front of his friend as Max blinked his eyes breaking him from his trance.

"What" he said looking up at him. "Looks like I lost you there for a second." he said laughing. "Oh sorry I must of been somewhere else" Max said shacking his head. "Look we are going to take a cab downtown and go see some of the city." Michael said as he paid for the check.

"OK sounds good." Max said as he and Michael joined the group. "Come on if we don't leave now I think Isabel and Alex will explode from excitement." Maria said laughing as they walked out onto the crowed street.

"So are you ready to show me New York?" Liz said as she grabed Max's hand. "Of course." Max said as he kissed her smiling as the group hailed a cab and climbed in as it drove down the busy street as the sun shinned.

Chapter Twenty Seven

For the rest of the day the group spent their time exploring the big apple and all it's sights. They went to centural park,fifth avenue,The plaza, and Madison Square Garden. Eventually they ended the day with a trip to the top of the Empier State building.

"Oh my god would you look at that view" Isabel beamed as her and Alex looked through the bionlocares. "Hey Maria get in I want to take a picture of all of us." Alex said as he asked a passing local to take a picture of them. The person smiled and said they would be more then happy to.

"God Alex such a toarist" Maria said rolling her eyes as the six of them got close to each other and smiled. "Alex I so want a double" Liz said as the group broke from their pose.

"No problem. Aw these are going to come out great. I can't wait to get them developed" Alex said beaming as Liz took a picture of him and Isabel smiling.

"Hey Alex can you take a picture of Liz and I?" Max asked. "Sure" Alex said beaming as Max and Liz put their arms around each other and held each other close as they smiled.

"Ok one two three" Alex said as the camera flashed as Max and Liz broke from their pose and kissed each other as Alex took another picture of them with out them knowing. "Aw that one is going to be so sweet." Isabel said beaming as Max and Liz laughed as their cheeck turened red.

"Alright I have had enough with the paparazzi for one day. Lets go" Michael said as the group laughed and made their way back down to the busy streets.

"Well I think we took New York by storm." Maria said laughing. "You can say that again." Michael said as he hailed a cab. "Look thanks for a great day I hate to cut this short but I have to get back and finish up my exhibit. I will see you guys on friday." Micheal said as he waved the group good bye.

"Well I really should get going. Liz it was great to see you. We so have to get together and go shopping some time this week before you leave." Maria said as she hugged her friend. "Of course. It was great seeing you as well." Liz said as she smiled.

Maria then said her good byes to the rest of the group and left.

"So what do you want to do now?" Liz asked Max as the four of them made their way into his apartment. "Well Alex surprised me and I are going out to dinner with him and then are seeing an eveing showing of Phantom of the Opera." Isabel cried.

"Yeah I can't wait to see it. So we won't be back until later tonight. We better go Isabel it's almost 6 if we want to have time to eat dinner and get to the theater by 8." Alex said looking at his watch. "Alright see you guys later have fun you two. Bye" Isabel said as her and Alex left.

"So" Liz said smiling. "So" Max said back looking at her. "What do you want to do?" Max said. "Could we stay in for the night. I am exhausted I think Maria and your sister the New York Natzi killed me with all of the walking my feet are killing me." Liz sighed as she sat down and took off her shoes and rubbed her aching feet.

"What can I say thats Isabel for you when she has a plan their is no stopping her" Max said as he laughed and sat down next to Liz. "Here let me." he said as he took one of Liz's feet and started massaging it. Liz laughed a little and then sighed. "Thank you. That feels so good." Liz said as she looked up at Max and smiled.

"So what did you think of New York?" Max asked as he took her other foot and started massaging it. "It was incredible. I loved it. Oh my god the Plaza Hotel was beautiful and The view from the empier state building just gorgeious." She said beaming. "Yeah it is pretty nice." Max said smiling.

"Well I am going to make dinner." Liz said as she got up from the couch. "Liz you don't have to" Max said protesting. "It's the least I can do for letting me stay with you. After all I am your guest and you were so nice to me in Boston so the least I can do is return the favor." Liz said as she started rummaging throught his cabinates.

"Well at least let me help" Max said looking at her. "No you relax. Let me take care of everything." Liz said smiling.

About an hour later the smells of basil and garlic filled the room as Liz sirred a huge pot of tomato sause. Max just sat their watching her as she worked her magic perpairing the meal. "Ok I need you" Liz said looking up at him. Max raised an eyebrow. "You do?" He said seductively. "Come here" Liz said as she waved a crooked fingure in frount of him begging him to come to her.

He then got up from the couch and made his way over. "Here taste this. Let me know what you think." Liz said as she held out a spoon full of sause. "Oh my god. Thats amazing." Max said as he tasted the delicious sause. "It's an old family secret recipie." Liz said smiling. "Dinners ready." Liz said as she placed the lid on top of the pot and turned the stove down.

"I know just where we can eat this." Max said as he grabbed some plates and knives and forks and glasses and handed them to Liz while he got a blanket.

"Max this is incredible" Liz said as the two of them sat on the roof top of his apartment building eating pasta with tomato sause and drinking white wine.

night time had fallen over the city and a blanket of diamonds were shinning as stars twinkled in the darkness.

"I know I love it up here." He said as they finished their meal. They then leaned back and looked up at the stars. "Do you believe in aliens?" Liz said as she looked up at the sky.

"Why are you one?" Max siad looking at her. "No why are you?" Liz said laughing. "Well, I have orders from my planet to take over the Earth." Max said as Liz looked at him in shock. "Kidding." He smirked "No I am not. Why do you ask?" he said looking at her.

"I don't know it just seems like a waste of space to think that we would be the only ones out their in this vast universe. The stars always facinated me it;s one of the reasons why I loved science so much. When I was little I had a telescope and would see if I could see if I could discover new planets or gallexies and be the next Madame Curie. I know you probably think I am a dork or something." Liz said as she looked at him.

"No I don't think your a dork. I always wondered why you liked science so much. You were always so passionate about it in science lab. and to answer your question I do think that their is a possibility that life is out their.

It's funny but in a way we are all almost like aliens to ourselves and to the world at times wishing we could find someone who could understand us and connect to us on a level that was so deep and pure it would make us feel like their was nothing to be afraid of and that you were not alone in this vast world." Max said softly as he threaded his fingures through Liz's hand and smiled.

"So did you ever discover any new planets or galllexies?" Max said looking at her.

Liz staired at him trying to grasp what she just heard. In all of her life she had never heard anyone talk with such insight and vurnaliblity. It was like he was pouring out his very soul to her through the glimmer in his eye and in the softness of his voice. She couldn't put her fingure on it but for the first time she felt alive as her heart filled with emotion.

She then took a deep breath and sighed. "No I never did. The closetest I ever got to finding something was a huge bright star. I was so excited then later I found out that the huge bright star was Venus,so much for finding new and far off gallexies. Oh look I can Venus from here." Liz sighed as she pointed to the huge bright star in the sky.

"Really cause I thought she was right next to me" Max said softly as he grabbed hold of Liz's out streached arm and pulled it close to him as he squeezed her hand. She then looked at him and smiled as they both leaned in and gave each other a passionate kiss as the stars shinned brightly above them.

I just wanted to let you know that things have been really busy and crazy around here. I was home in NY for Mothers Day (which I hope you all had a nice one) and then I am going back up to school in RI for our Senior Week and activities. It should be be fun and then sunday I graduate from college. I am so excited!!!

So as you can see I will be kind of busy I hope to update sometime next week when I return home to NY!! But I wanted to update my story before I leave for College for a few days.

Chapter Twenty Eight

For the next two days Isabel,Alex, and Liz aquanted themselves with the Big Apple with Max as their tour guide as they went ot the various art museasums, resturants, and got used to the hussle and bussle of the big city.

It was wednesday and Isabel and Alex were off exploring the Bronx Zoo as Liz stayed home at Max's Apartment. He had gone into work that day to meet up with a client and was going to meet her during his lunch break.

"Want me to show you my favorite place in the city?" Max said as the two of them walked hadn in hand down the crowed streets. "Love too" Liz said smiling as they walked a few block and then entered into St. Patricks cathorideral.

"Oh my god it's beautiful" Liz said softly as she loked up at the huge gothic stone carving and glass windows as they walked along the decorated marble floor.

"Yes it is. I come here now and then to clear my thoughts and find some peace and quite." Max said as the two of them sat in the polished dark wooden pew. "Do you believe in God?" Liz asked as she looked into Max's eyes.

"Well I believe that there is a higher power and that there is a reason behind life. Micheal comes here all the time to pray. He swears it helps him a lot with things so sometimes I come here and pray. What about you do you believe?" Max said looking into her eyes.

"Yes my grandma was really religious so growing up it kind of grew on me. We would always go to mass and she would make such a big deal about Christmas and Easter. She would always be praying for me. In a way I think it helped. What do you pray for?" Liz asked.

"Mostly my family that they will be safe and healthy. For my friends,my clients, for me and for things going on in my life. I find it helps me and I feel more relaxed." Max said sighing.

"yeah I know what you mean" Liz said shacking her head. They then got up and walked along the candel light shrines of the different Saints. "Do you want to light a candel?" Liz asked as they satired at the image in the shrine.

"Sure" Max said as they light the candel and kneeled in frount of the shrine. Liz closed her eyes as her and Max said a slient prayer. They were quite for quite some time and then got up and left.

"Thank you for taking me here." Liz said as they both declinded the steaps. "Anytime." Max said. They then hailed a cab and went to lunch before Max had to get back to work.

"Yes mom we are having a wonderful time. Max looks great. Did I tell you he is dating Liz Parker. Yes thats right little Lizzie from high school. Oh mom he is so happy the two of them are so cute. I can't wait until he brings her home to meet you well I hope he does. He better I so want her as a part of our family.

"Yes Alex is great. He saids hi. Yes We are having a wonderful time. We saw Phantom it was amazing and we walked the city today and saw some of the museasums and the Bronx Zoo. OK you have to go. OK I just wanted to say hi. I will tell max you send your love. OK mom love you bye." Isabel said as she clicked off her cell phone.

"So how is your mom?" Alex asked as he and Isabel walked through central park. She is fine. She was so happy I called and knows I am safe you know how moms can be." Isabel said laughing. "Yes I called mine last night they say hi. So what do you want to do now?" Alex asked looking at Isabel.

"How about we grab some dinner and go to the chelsie peer. I hear it;s so beautiful by the water and they have the south street sea port and resturants. "Great I will give Liz a call and see if her and your brother want to come." Alex said as he grabbed his phone.

"Hey Parker what do you say to a romantic night of dinning on the water?' Ok great We will meet you and Max at the chelsie peers at 7, See you then" Alex said as he clicked off his phone. "They are coming. I can't wait. New York has been a blast!!! I can't wait to see Micheals exhibit on Friday!!" Alex said beaming.

"Me too it should be a night to remember!" Isabel said beaming as she kissed Alex as the two walked arm in arm down the sunlight street as the trees made a canopy against the sky.

My senior week and college graduation was really nice and special. it was great to spend it with my family and friends.

Chapter Twenty Nine

Water glissened like polished sliver in the moonlight as boats passed by the busy docks as eveing crowds made there way towards the differnet shops and resturants around the pier.

In a resturant over looking the water four friends were laughng and having the time of there lives. "Wow Alex this place is great thanks for inviting us what a great idea to take us here." Liz said beaming. "Oh know problem but it was more like me and Isabels idea we had it on our to do list for touring New York." Alex said as he smiled at Isabel.

I can't wait to get back home and show Mom and Dad pictures. Oh yeah Max by the way they say hi I called them today." Isabel said as she took a sip of her coffee. "Really how are they?" Max said. "Oh they are fine. They miss you but are glad that I am here with you and your friends." Isabel said smiling.

"I know I miss them too. Hopefully I will be able to visit them in Santa Fa sometime." he said looking at his sister. "yeah Santa Fa is beautiful you would love it Liz. It's really nice. If you come to visite we can show you around." Alex said beaming.

" I would like that. You know It's really nice that you two get to see each other." Liz said nodding her head and slightly smiled as she sighed.

"Well what do you say we get out of here and walk around the docks. It's such a beautiful night outside" Max said as they got up and payed for teh check.

The four walked out of the resturant onto the crowed docks. "Um hey look Isabel and I will check you guys later We want to try to get a little shopping in before the Sea Port closes." Alex said as he took Isabel hand and waved good bye.

"Do you want to walk?" Max said looking into Liz's eyes. "Sure" she said as she threaded her hands through his.

They walked for quite sometime in slience as they enjoyed the calmness of the docks and the crash of water against the pier.

"New York is so beautiful I could see myself living here some day." Liz said as her and Max stopped and looked over the pier. "Liz what are you saying?" Max said looking at her.

"Well it's such a nice city and look Max It's crazy us always traveling to see each other every weekend. I want to see you every day not just friday to sunday." Liz said smiling.

"But Liz what about your job? It was always your dream to work for Harvard medical. You have worked so hard to get where you are I can't let you give that up." Max said concerned looking into her eyes.

"Being a Molecular Biologist was never my dream. My dream was to always be with you." She said softly looking inot his eyes.

"Liz look I feel that same way. It feels like I am living in a fantasy wit us being so far away. I want to see you everyday and spend time with you and grow with you. but I also don't want you to regreat anything 10 years down the line." Max said rubbing his thumb over her cheek.

"How could I regreat anything when you are all I wanted to be with for the past 8 years. I love you." Liz whispered as she kissed Max.

"I love you too but Liz I want you to take some time to think this over it's a big decision. I would say you could move in with me but I don't want that I want you to move in with me for the right reasons." Max said softly.

"I know. I could always stay with Maria or find an apartment on my own." Liz said trying to figure things out in her head.

"Liz you don't have to make the decision tonight. Take some time to think about it and let me know when ever you are ready." Max said smiling as he kissed her. "Thank you." Liz said as they walked hand in hand down the docks.

Chapter Thirty

"ug I am never going to find something to wear why can't I have a body like yours?" Maria groaned as she looked at Liz. They had been shopping all day in order to get ready for tonight big art exhibit while Max and Alex roamed about the city.

"Relax Maria your beautiful there is nothing wrong with your body. Don't worry we will find something after all you are dealing with the Queen of Fashion so you are in good hands." Isabel said as she flipped through the rack of dresses.

"Shes right Maria I mean Isabel wasn't named Elle McPherson of our class for nothing." Liz smiled as she helped Isabel flipp through the racks.

"I hated that title along with being the Ice Queen. I can't believe I was friends with those idiots. The guys were jerks they only wanted one thing and the girls were spolied material money loving guy using morions." Isabel sighed frustrated as she rolled her eyes as her mind wondered back to her crusing the halls with her crew as they smirked at people.

"Ok will you guys just shut up." Isabel said annoyed as her and her friends roamed down the halls dressed to a T.

"Whats gotten into you Miss Home Coming Queen. I mean seriously Isabel like image means everything is this world we were only trying to save our fellow classmates from a life of suffering and end their terrible fashion fopa." Her friend Tiffiny wined as she clutched her chest in dispaer.

"What ever" Isabel said rolling her eyes. She and Kyle had won Home coming King and Queen that year and after the game and the dance there was no living with her friends the fashion poliece who were determined to have someone in their group make prom Queen.

"I mean Isabel how are you ever going to make Prom Queen with an attitude like that. Oh look here comes that gorgeious brother of yours. oh my god he looks so cute what I won't give to have one night with him" Her friend Tara squeeled as the group watched him approach.

"Chill out" Isabel said as she made her way towards her brother. "Hey Izz why the long face? Max asked looking at his sister. "Your fan club has gotten on my nerves." Isabel said annoyed as her and Max looked at the group of girls giggling in the corner.

"I see" Max said eyeing the group. "Anyway I just wanted to tell you that Alex and his band are playing tonight at Kyles party if you want to come." Max said as he and his sister walked the halls. "Are you kidding me I will so be there. Thanks you really made my day." Isabel said smiling as the bell rang. "See you later Izz." Max said as he ran off to class. "See ya" Isabel said as she made her way into the classroom.

"How about this?" Isabel said as she pulled out a long dark low cut dress. "Oh thats nice." Maria said as she tryied it on. "Well what do you think?" maria said a few minutes later as she emerged. "It's perfect" Isabel said beaming. "You look beautiful. It's so you. You are going to be the talk tonight at the exhibit. Micheal is going to love it." Liz beamed.

"Ok great wow would you look at the time. We better go if we want to have lunch and get there in time for our massages and the get ready for the big night." Maria said joyiously as she got dressed.

"Yeah I can't wait!! It should be a night to remember" Isabel said as the group of girls payed for their items and left.
