Alex squeezes my hands in response and I smile at him hesitantly,"Well, you don't need to wonder anymore, because I still do."
I heave a sigh of relief,I don't know what I would have done if he wanted to break up with me.
"That's settled then." I say cheerfully and give him a kiss on the top of his head as I stand up "I think we both should get back to work now before my mother fires both of us."
Speaking of firing,I wonder where Liz and Maria are?My mother's not going to be happy if four of her employees are in a world of their own today.
I nearly bump in to her on my way back out,"OOff...sorry mum."
"Izzy,what're you doing back here?" she asks suspiciously as she eyes Alex who's thankfully not behind me but in front of his locker
"Oh nothing,just told Alex that one of the customers asked for him."
With that I rush past her befor she can interrogate me further.

He flashes me the cutest puppy dog look and I find my resistance melting away. Seriously, how could a girl ever say no to a face like that. I find my resolve slowly but surely dissipating. He squeezes my knee gently and I kid you not my entire leg feels like it’s on fire. In a good way of course. I have to fight the satisfied sigh that is coming on
."I think Alex is working today, and Isabel...do they really need you?" I pretend to ponder over his question thoughtfully ,but In all honesty I’ve already made up my mind.
“I guess I don’t have to be there. Isabel would probably cover for me if I asked her.” I reveal with a giddy smile.
“I should call and make sure Liz is going to be alright with it though.” I announce before pulling out my cell phone. Leaning forward I press my lips to his for a gentle but quick kiss.
“Just give me two minutes.” He nods so I go to Liz’s number and press send. Putting my phone to my ear I listen as it rings and rings. Is she going to pick it up? I wait patiently. Oh well. If she doesn’t answer I’ll leave a voice mail.

After I pace for nearly forever I sat down on the bench in front of my locker. I look at my clothes and stares at it. I’m suppose to be dress by now, but some how I can’t find myself to move my little arms and put on my uniform.
I’m so scary. Literal I’m so scary that my bones are starting to shake and tears are forming in my eyes. I heard my phone go off and I wonder myself if I should answer it. But if I don’t answer my friends and family will worry about me because it’s not like me to not answer.
I go into my school bag and grab my cell phone. I press the talk button and bring the phone to my ear, “Hello?” I sound choke up like I’m been crying, which I have.

~~~~~MAX~~~~~
I sit in the booth, waiting patiently for someone to take my order. But does anyone come?
Nope.
And then Liz comes in...and walks straight past. She must be in a world of her own.
I want to go in the back and see her...but I guess my news will have to wait.
Oh well.
I drum my fingers impatiently. What does a guy have to do to get some service round here?!
"Hello?" Her muffled responce comes out in almost ragghed sob. "Liz?" I question hoping that maybe I was mistaken. "Are you alright?" I inquire worriedly. Turning to Michael I can see his concerned expression.
"Liz? Are you alright?" Maria ask at the other end of the phone.
Am I alright? I don't know if I am alright. I'm pregnant and I don't know what to do. I cry alittle more and open my mouth, "I don't know."
“I guess I don’t have to be there. Isabel would probably cover for me if I asked her. I should call and make sure Liz is going to be alright with it though.” She plants another brief kiss upon my lips and picks up her cellphone as I watch her, smiling.
“Just give me two minutes.” I nod and sit there waiting, just glad that she's not leaving quite yet. If we're gonna spend the day together, it might as well be the whole day.
"Take your time."
Maria must have gotten ahold of Liz, because the next minute she's talking to someone.
"Liz? Are you alright?" She says, and all of the sudden my face changes from happy to worried.
"Is she okay?" I mouth, pointing at the phone.
Agreeing with her, I'm about to say something back, but her mother walks by, so I look busy. Once her mother's gone, I sneak out the back door and walk up behind her, grinning.
"You're mother's a bit on edge today."
Once back in to the main restaurant area I go stand at the counter waiting for Jose to hand me the next order when Alex comes up behind me,"You're mother's a bit on edge today."
Without turning to look at him I answer,"That's an understatement...she's discreetly keeping an eye on you and me.That's for sure.May be she thinks she'll catch you groping me or something." I laugh at my silly comment
"Little does she know that her daughter is more than likely to be the one to be doing the groping." I wink at him as I take the next order and move past him
Isabel laughs at her own joke and winks, and I grin back at her while she moves to take her next order.
"Tsk tsk, let's hope she never finds out," I say quiet enough so only she can hear me, before grabbing a plate of fries.
I take care of my next order, and then head for a corner booth, where I see a familiar face; Max. "Oh, hey Max."
