I don't think it's entirely clear, but somewhere near June 10th, 2002 is when I'd place the ceremony. The UFO Convention keynote speech is apparently June 12th - when Liz identifies Bryce McCain from her vision of their deaths, he jumps to the conclusion that the Special Unit attack will happen on that date, June 12th.tequathisy wrote:Doers anybody know what date Graduation took place on?
They plan to attend graduation and still slip out of town before the convention, so there has to be a buffer of time between the two - but Bryce arrives early to speak at the Graduation, so I would guess there isn't too long between them either. I'm not aware of any other clues that might help narrow the date down.

I always got the impression that Max proposing was the day before Graduation... I can't remember why, though... but that would place Graduation on June 1st or 2nd.

From the Crashdown transcripts.
So it's early June.Max: ...Bryce McCain..? ...He's going to be the guest of honor at the UFO convention. We die June 12th.
Liz: That's less than two weeks.
Max: We have twelve days to figure out how to stop it.

I don't know about the rest of the US, but Saturday graduations are very common where I live.

Yep my high school graduation was on a Saturday. And every graduation I've been to was either on a Saturday or Sunday so I'd say weekend graduations are common in the US.
