A/n - this is one of the challenges I decided to take on I hope u like it! I took this challenge from LoveIsForever!
Chapter 1
Tears were streaming down maria's Face. She sat in front of her mother at the kitche table Not believing what her mother was threatening to do.
“I'm not going to do this I cant believe you want me to do this” maria said Pleading with her mother.
“You have to or else. I will tell them everything I know Maria.” She held the phone in her hand ready to dial.
“Fine!” maria said as she quickly grabbed her stuff and left her mother's house. Amy Deluca couldnt believe this. All this time she had no idea. She was being lied to all this time.
Maria walked into the soon to be her's and michael's place. Tears were streaming down her Eyes. Michael came into the room and saw her crying. He was Trying to tie his tie.
“maria? Whats wrong?” he said going to her. He wiped the tears from her eyes. maria looked up into Michael's eyes and smiled.
“Oh nothing I'm Just crying because I'm happy thats all” Maria said as She hugged michael tightly.
“ I can believe next week we are getting married” Michael said softly. Maria smiled, How could she tell michael that she cant marry him. ' No I wont tell him. I wont say anything to him' maria thought.
“yeah Um we have so much to do” Maria said as she went into the Kitchen to get a glass of water. Michael looked at her curiously.
“Are you sure your ok?” He asked.
“yeah I'm fine I just Got a lecture from my mom about marriage thats all. Otherwise everything is fine” maria replied.
“Why dont I buy that excuse?” Michael said.
“ Michael everything is fine! I cant wait to marry and start my life with you its just I'm a little stressed right now”
“ Maybe we should spend some time together. you and me Just relaxing”Michael said taking her in his arms.
“That would be nice” Maria said Laying her head on his shoulder.
Liz was Busy Cleaning up the house. Max watched her from around the corner. He loved watching her clean house. Liz looked over and smiled.
“You know you made this mess too” Liz replied as she dumped The Dirty clothes in the hamper. Max smiled and laughed.
“ yeah well you look so cute when you clean” Max said Pulling her into his arms and kissing her. Fell Onto the bed.
“ Max stop its way too early” Liz said Looking into his eyes.
“ so” Max said as he kissed her again. They were both getting into the moment when Liz heard the front door slam.
“Liz!” She heard maria yelling. Max got up and let liz get up off the bed.
“they have great timming”Max said as he laid on his back on the bed.
“maria whats going on?” Liz asked.
“Can we talk alone. And What I have to tell you cant repeat to anyone Not even max” Liz looked at her curiously and pulled her out the front door.
“Whats going on? You look frantic” Liz said worried with concern.
“I cant marry Michael” Liz looked at her stunned.
“What? Your now deciding this and the wedding is less then a week away!” Liz yelled. Maria Started pacing back and fourth.
“ Its a long story” Maria said. As she started to cry.
“ I have all day maria” Liz said with her arms crossed in front of her.
“ My mother knows” Maria said softly as she tried to keep herself from crying. Liz looked at her confused. Maria was scared and confused Liz could see it in her eyes.
“ Knows what Maria?” Liz asked confused.
“She knows about michael, she knows he's an alien. She threatened to call the FBI and tell them everything IF I married him.” maria said. Liz took Maria into her arms and she started crying.
Later that day -
Michael knew something was wrong. Maria played with her food on her plate. Michael was worrying all day, he knew there was something going on. He could see it Maria's eyes.
“Maria?” Michael asked. Maria Looked up at him and gave him a half smile.
“What?” Maria asked.
“Is there something wrong? I have this feeling something is wrong” Michael said taking a sip of his snapple tea.
“No I'm just tired” Maria said as she rubbed her eyes. She had a lot on her mind and she couldnt tell michael. She couldnt tell him that she had to break his heart in order to save him.
“ Come on lets go lay down” Michael said as he made a place on the couch for the both of them. Michael sat down and Maria Laid her head in his lap.
One Week later -
Maria stood in front of the mirror looking at herself in her Wedding Dress. She was nervous and shaking from head to toe. She started to cry. There was a soft knock on the door. Maria Quickly wiped her tears away.
“come in” Maria said nervously.
“Are you ok? your not going to try to do anything are you?” Liz said concerned.
“Liz you dont understand” maria said whipping her eyes.
“I do understand , but you will break michaels Heart”
“I know that” maria said as she glanced at herself again in the mirror. There was another knock on the door. Max peeped his head in.
“Its show time” he said.
“Ok give us five” She said to max.
“I cant do this Liz. I have to go I cant marry Michael” Maria said crying.
“Thats your decision to make ria. I hope your doing the right thing.” Liz hugged her tightly. Maria Quickly pulled her dress off and Put her normal clothes on. Maria turned to her and handed her a note she had wrote for michael.
“Give this to him” Maria said. Liz took the note and Quickly went to where the wedding was starting. When she came to the doorway the music started playing. She motioned for them to stop the music. Max looked at her confused as she hurried down the Aisle towards Michael. Max knew something was up.
“Whats going on Liz? where's Maria?” He asked. Liz gave him a half smile. And handed him the note.
“I'm sorry Michael but she's Gone” Liz said. Michael felt his Legs go numb and then he fainted.
Maria stuffed everything she owned into a bag. And headed out the door. She hopped on the first bus she could get. She watched Roswell fade away. She watched her Life fade away.
“Goodbye Roswell” She said softly as the bus drove by the sign that read now Leaving roswell New mexico.

Chapter 2a
Michael paced The living room floor of His apartment. Max And Liz watched him pace.
"Your going to put a hole in floor" max replied.
"Why did she do this? I dont understand!" Michael yelled.
"We dont know" Liz said softly.
"you were in the dressing room with her earlier, did she say anything that would make you think she would do this?" Max asked.
"I..no..I left the room for a bit and came back and she was gone" Liz lied.
"Are you sure? because This doesnt seem like something Maria would do" Max said.
"I know" Liz said.
"We have to find her" Michael said as he started to rush out the door.
"She may be long gone by now" Max said.
"I dont care I have to find her!" Michael yelled as he ran out of the apartment.
seven years later -
Michael looked at himself in the mirror. He was ready to do this. He was ready to start his Life with Ashlee. He tied his tie in the Mirror. Ashlee came up behind him and Adjusted his tie.
"you know I'm Not really tie Kind of guy" Michael replied.
"I know But you have to look presentable at the rehearsal dinner" Ashlee said with a smile.
" Its just a rehearsal dinner " Michael said.
"its more then that Michael. I want you to impress my parents. They actually like you A little bit" Ashlee said with a smile.
"A little bit, thats saying a lot" ashlee laughed and kissed him.
" I kind of think you look sexy in that suit and tie" She said with an innocent smile.
"really" Michael said.
"really" ashlee said pulling him towards her so she could kiss him.
Maria looked out the window of the bus. It had been seven Long years since she had stepped foot in Roswell. She couldnt wait to see Michael, she couldnt wait to see his face when he meets his son. Maria glanced over at the little boy who was asleep in the seat next to her. She brushed his hair away from his face. She smiled softly, he looked so much Like michael. No one knew she was back in roswell. She figured it was better to suprise everyone then to just call and tell them she back in town.
"Ok are we meeting everyone at the crashdown?" Ashlee asked as she brushed the winkles out of her dress.
"yeah, Max told everyone to meet there" Michael said as he locked the door to the apartment.
Maria's first stop was her mothers house. She stood in front of the door, and knocked softly. Amy went to the door and opened it. She was suprised to see her daughter standing there.
"Maria?" She said softly.
"Hi Mom. I want you meet your grandson Ben" Ben stood in front of Maria nervously.
"Hi ben, I'm grandma Deluca" any said shaking his hand. Amy ushered her Daughter and grandson in.
"Ben Why dont you watch some tv while me and grandma talk" Amy turned the TV on and then went out into the Kitchen with Maria.
"you could of called, umm I dont know seven years and told me that you were having a son!" Amy yelled.
"I didnt think you would cared! Because you wanted me Leave Michael and threatened me by turning him into the FBI!" Maria yelled.
"I'm sorry I thought I was doing the right thing at the time! But Now That I see this Precious little Boy I know that I made the worst Mistake ever" Amy said.
" Yeah you did. And I want you to know your grandson" Maria said.
"Does michael know your back?" Amy asked.
"No your the first person I've seen" Maria said.
"Well I'll watch Him for you if you need to talk to Michael in private"
"thank you, do you know where he is?" Maria asked.
" Think he has a rehearsal dinner tonight" amy said. Maria Looked at her confused.
"rehearsal dinner for what?" Maria asked. Amy deluca Looked down and realized what she had said.'
"Everyone is meeting at The crashdown" Amy deluca said. It didnt register with Maria yet. Then she realized what she met by a rehearsal dinner.
"He's getting married" Maria whispered. Her heart sank. She wanted to curl up and die right there.
" I dont think he told Ashlee about you" Amy said.
" God! I come back after Seven years and This happens!"
"What did expect Maria! Did you expect him to wait seven years for you!" Amy yelled.
"yes!" Maria yelled. Suddenly there was Big Blasting sound in the living room. The Lamp by the table had blown to pieces.
"God! He's Been Blowing things up for the past week. Thats why I am here to see Michael" Maria said.
"That was My nice lamp!" amy Yelled.
"I'll get you another one. Ben sweetie Mommy Has to go see someone for a moment. Can you stay here with grandma and try not to Blow anything else up" Maria said kissing the top of his head.
"I love you mommy" He said Hugging her tightly.
"I love you too, I'll be back in A few. Can I borrow the jetta" She asked.
"yeah go ahead" Amy Deluca said as she threw her daughter the keys.
Maria parked across the street from The crashdown. She looked over and seen how happy Michael was with this Ashlee girl. max and Liz were taking pictures of them together. She started to cry as she watched on. Michael glanced over and saw Maria In The car. Maria Looked away and started the car up. But it wouldnt start.
"Dam it come on!" She yelled.
"Hey, you guys I'll Meet you at the rehearsal there is something I need to do" michael said as looked over and saw Maria trying to start the car up. he knew it was her.
"Are you sure?" Ashlee said concerned.
"yeah there is something I need to get" Michael said.
"Ok, you better make it or your dead" Ashlee said kissing him.
"Dont worry I will" Ashlee climbed in the car with max, Liz and everyone. And They drove off. Maria laid her head on the steering wheel and cried.
"you piece of crap!" She yelled as she hit the steering wheel. Michael walked up to the car. He Stood there for a moment staring at her.
"maria?" he asked softly. Maria Looked up at him. She wanted the car to just start up so she could drive off. She wiped her eyes and got out of the car.
"Suprise" she said throwing up her hands. michael didnt say anything he just stood there starring at her.
"Arent you going to say something?" Maria asked.
" what do you want me to say? You show up here after seven years! And you show up several weeks before I am suppose to get married!" Michael yelled.
"How was I suppose to know you were getting married!" Maria yelled.
"you left me! For no reason at all! Was I suppose to wait for you for seven years!" Michael yelled.
"No! I...I dont want to set here and yell at you. You have a wedding rehearsal dinner to get to"
"No,I'm not going anywhere until me why your here after seven years!" michael yelled. Maria was silent for a moment.
" Michael Please stop yelling at me!" Maria said as she held her head. She was starting to get a headache.
"I have a rehearsal dinner to get to" Michael said as he turned the and walked across the street. He Jumped in his car and sped off. Maria was so angry she Kicked the door of the jetta.
Michael Made it to the dinner rehearsal. He sat next To ashlee at the main table.
"Everything ok?" She whispered in his ear.
"Yeah everything is fine." Michael said. But everything wasnt fine. He couldnt get Maria out of his head during the whole rehearsal dinner. Max knew something was up when the rehearsal dinner was over. Michael was too quick to leave.

Chapter 2b
Max Found Michael Alone In the crashdown. He went and sat across from him in the booth.
"so where's your future wife?" max asked.
" She's Out some friends." Michael said .
"Something bothering you? You left the rehearsal dinner awful quick" max replied.
" Its been Seven years Max, Seven long years" Michael said. Max was confused.
"Seven years for what?" Max asked confused.
"Since Maria Left me, and Then out of the blue she shows up here in roswell, several weeks before I get married" Michael said.
"what? Maria is back in town?" max asked.
"yeah I saw her before I went to the rehearsal dinner. We had yelling match. She wouldnt tell me why she is back in roswell"
"Why didnt she tell Liz that doesnt make sense"
"I cant have her here Not now. Not when I am about marry ashlee" Michael said.
Maria Cleaned Up the mess Ben had made on the kitchen table. She kept thinking about Michael She needed to get her mind off michael. There was a knock on the front door. Maria went to open the door and found Liz standing there.
"Why the hell didnt you call me!" Liz yelled as she hugged maria tightly.
"I'm sorry" Maria said.
"I forgive you. Max told me you talked to Michael"
"yeah, We basically just yelled at each other" Liz glanced over at The little Boy asleep on the couch.
"He's yours?" Liz asked.
"yeah, Michael doesnt know about him"
" I hope your not being serious" Liz said. Maria gave her that look that said she was being serious.
"God you are! Maria why didnt you tell him!"
"I couldnt. Now I have to because I need his help. Ben Has been blowing things up" Maria said.
" Did you tell him why you left roswell in the first place?" Liz asked.
"No"
"Ria! He doesnt know! For seven years he has always wondered!"
"How could he when he's been busy with his new girl!" Maria yelled. Ben stirred on the couch. Maria Pulled Liz out into the back of the house.
"You have to tell him Ria"
"I cant it will make things worse.'
"Your already making things worse By being here and not telling him before he marries Ashlee!" Liz said.
"I'm not going to tell him anything! I cant its not the right time!"
"And when the right time be Ria? When he walks up to the alter to marry ashlee? Or maybe after their Honeymoon? If you dont tell him soon I will or he will find out some other way"
"Liz I cant!"
"fine But dont come to me when you take off again for another seven years!" Liz said as she left the deluca household.
Michael laid on the couch flipping through the channels on the TV. He heard the front door open. Ashlee came up to him and sat down On the couch.
"you didnt have to wait for me" She said leaning over to kiss him.
"I wasnt I couldnt sleep, I have alot of things on my mind" Michael said.
"do you want to talk about them?" Ashlee asked.
"No not really"
"Well I'm exhausted I'm going to bed you coming?" She asked.
"Umm I'll be there in a while" Michael said. Ashlee kissed him again and went to bed. Michael couldnt get Maria out of his head. No matter what he did something always brought him back to her.
The next morning -
Maria was dressing Ben. There was a knock on the front door. maria Went to answer it. She opened the door and was suprised to see Michael standing there.
"What are you doing here" Maria asked.
"Can we talk" Michael asked.
"Sure" maria said. Ben came running up to Maria, He was Trying to pull his shirt over his head.
"Mommy! I'm stuck" Maria laughed and Pulled the shirt over His head.
"Mommy?" Michael asked curiously.
"yeah, Umm I've been meaning to tell you" Maria said.
"your kidding! He's My son!" Michael yelled.
"Yes and.."
"And didnt have the sense to call me and tell me this!" Michael yelled.
"Michael I..."
"Shit! What the hell am I going to tell Ashlee!"
"Michael can I finish what I was going to say"
" Why? Maria why didnt you tell me!"
" I couldnt! I found Out I was pregnant after I left Roswell" Maria said.
" And you just didnt have time to call me and tell me after seven years have gone by!"
"I was going to...But I..." ben Pulled on Maria's arm.
"Mommy, can we go to the park today" Ben asked.
"yes ben sweetie can later Mommy is talking to someone right now." ben ran back inside and Maria Shut the door.
"Ben, cute name"
"Michael you dont know how many times I tried to call you tell you that we had a son. But I couldnt"
"Why? Did it ever occure to you that I maybe wanted to be a part of his life."
"yes But I was afraid"
"of what!"
"I was afraid that once someone found out he could do things That the FBI would be on tail! And that they would try to do something! Thats why I came back to Roswell. Our son needs your help"
" I want custody of him" Michael said.
"What? Oh Dont make this into a custody battle! I'm not going to put him through that!"
"Maria I've missed seven years of his Life!"
"I know and I cant make up for that! God I'm tired of Yelling at you! Cant we just talk without yelling!" Maria yelled back. Michael took a deep breath.
"Look....Ever since you came back into my life your all I can think about. When you left me that Day I was devastated. I Searched for you day and night and then I realized you wasnt going to come back. And now your here, and I can see you feel you." Michael came closer to her. He started to lean in to Kiss her. Maria didnt pull away, she missed his kisses and his touch. He Brushed his Lips against hers. Then she pulled away.
"No, we cant do this, your getting married. Just go I cant deal with this" Maria said as she went inside and shut him out again. She leaned against the door. Michael stood there for a moment. What was he going to do? He Loved Maria still but he Loved Ashlee. He didnt want Maria to Leave his life again.
Max Found Michael Alone In the crashdown. He went and sat across from him in the booth.

"yeah I saw her before I went to the rehearsal dinner. We had yelling match. She wouldnt tell me why she is back in roswell"
"Why didnt she tell Liz that doesnt make sense"
"I cant have her here Not now. Not when I am about marry ashlee" Michael said.
Maria Cleaned Up the mess Ben had made on the kitchen table. She kept thinking about Michael She needed to get her mind off michael. There was a knock on the front door. Maria went to open the door and found Liz standing there.
"Why the hell didnt you call me!" Liz yelled as she hugged maria tightly.
"I'm sorry" Maria said.
"I forgive you. Max told me you talked to Michael"
"yeah, We basically just yelled at each other" Liz glanced over at The little Boy asleep on the couch.
"He's yours?" Liz asked.
"yeah, Michael doesnt know about him"
" I hope your not being serious" Liz said. Maria gave her that look that said she was being serious.
"God you are! Maria why didnt you tell him!"
"I couldnt. Now I have to because I need his help. Ben Has been blowing things up" Maria said.
" Did you tell him why you left roswell in the first place?" Liz asked.
"No"
"Ria! He doesnt know! For seven years he has always wondered!"
"How could he when he's been busy with his new girl!" Maria yelled. Ben stirred on the couch. Maria Pulled Liz out into the back of the house.
"You have to tell him Ria"
"I cant it will make things worse.'
"Your already making things worse By being here and not telling him before he marries Ashlee!" Liz said.
"I'm not going to tell him anything! I cant its not the right time!"
"And when the right time be Ria? When he walks up to the alter to marry ashlee? Or maybe after their Honeymoon? If you dont tell him soon I will or he will find out some other way"
"Liz I cant!"
"fine But dont come to me when you take off again for another seven years!" Liz said as she left the deluca household.
Michael laid on the couch flipping through the channels on the TV. He heard the front door open. Ashlee came up to him and sat down On the couch.
"you didnt have to wait for me" She said leaning over to kiss him.
"I wasnt I couldnt sleep, I have alot of things on my mind" Michael said.
"do you want to talk about them?" Ashlee asked.
"No not really"
"Well I'm exhausted I'm going to bed you coming?" She asked.
"Umm I'll be there in a while" Michael said. Ashlee kissed him again and went to bed. Michael couldnt get Maria out of his head. No matter what he did something always brought him back to her.
The next morning -
Maria was dressing Ben. There was a knock on the front door. maria Went to answer it. She opened the door and was suprised to see Michael standing there.
"What are you doing here" Maria asked.
"Can we talk" Michael asked.
"Sure" maria said. Ben came running up to Maria, He was Trying to pull his shirt over his head.
"Mommy! I'm stuck" Maria laughed and Pulled the shirt over His head.
"Mommy?" Michael asked curiously.
"yeah, Umm I've been meaning to tell you" Maria said.
"your kidding! He's My son!" Michael yelled.
"Yes and.."
"And didnt have the sense to call me and tell me this!" Michael yelled.
"Michael I..."
"Shit! What the hell am I going to tell Ashlee!"
"Michael can I finish what I was going to say"
" Why? Maria why didnt you tell me!"
" I couldnt! I found Out I was pregnant after I left Roswell" Maria said.
" And you just didnt have time to call me and tell me after seven years have gone by!"
"I was going to...But I..." ben Pulled on Maria's arm.
"Mommy, can we go to the park today" Ben asked.
"yes ben sweetie can later Mommy is talking to someone right now." ben ran back inside and Maria Shut the door.
"Ben, cute name"
"Michael you dont know how many times I tried to call you tell you that we had a son. But I couldnt"
"Why? Did it ever occure to you that I maybe wanted to be a part of his life."
"yes But I was afraid"
"of what!"
"I was afraid that once someone found out he could do things That the FBI would be on tail! And that they would try to do something! Thats why I came back to Roswell. Our son needs your help"
" I want custody of him" Michael said.
"What? Oh Dont make this into a custody battle! I'm not going to put him through that!"
"Maria I've missed seven years of his Life!"
"I know and I cant make up for that! God I'm tired of Yelling at you! Cant we just talk without yelling!" Maria yelled back. Michael took a deep breath.
"Look....Ever since you came back into my life your all I can think about. When you left me that Day I was devastated. I Searched for you day and night and then I realized you wasnt going to come back. And now your here, and I can see you feel you." Michael came closer to her. He started to lean in to Kiss her. Maria didnt pull away, she missed his kisses and his touch. He Brushed his Lips against hers. Then she pulled away.
"No, we cant do this, your getting married. Just go I cant deal with this" Maria said as she went inside and shut him out again. She leaned against the door. Michael stood there for a moment. What was he going to do? He Loved Maria still but he Loved Ashlee. He didnt want Maria to Leave his life again.

Chapter 3a
maria was upset, ben helped her stuff everything they had into their bags. She was going to leave tonight. She wasnt going She was going to run again. As she stuffed everything in the bag she realized it was no use. She couldnt run from her problems anymore.
"Mommy I'm sorry your unhappy" Ben said setting next to her on the bed.
"Its not ur fault sweetie" Maria said Hugging her son tightly.
"I dont want to leave Mommy, I like it here" Ben said with a smile.
"you do?" Maria said smiling.
"yes, Roswell reminds me of you" he said with a big smile.
"She doenst know about Maria does she?" max asked curiously.
"No she doesnt, she doesnt know about ben either" Michael said as he laid back in the chair.
" What are you going to do michael? You cant be in love with 2 women. you have to choose."
"I cant, what I had with Maria was something different from what I have with Ashlee right now" Michael said.
" And what if she runs again? what will you do then? Marry Ashlee?" max asked.
"I dont know, You see there is so much I dont know. I dont know why Maria Left me that day" Michael said. max could hear Liz on the phone In The kitchen.
"Ria you have to tell him. Before he walks out of your life forever." Max Came into the kitchen. She glanced over at her husband and smiled.
"I gotta go bye" Liz said as she quickly hung the phone up.
"Tell him what?" Max asked curiously.
"What?" Liz was trying to play dumb. And she wasnt very good at it.
"you can tell me Michael left" ma said following her into the Living room.
" Max what are you talking about" Liz asked. Max Pulled Liz into his arms and started kissing her Neck.
"You better tell me, or you will have lonley nights without your husband to keep you warm" he said.
"max I cant, its something only Maria can tell Michael. Besides I know If I tell you, you will run right to him and tell him"
"your probably right But still if its something important I need to know"
" Ok, But I want Maria to tell him. Look the reason why Maria Left michael that day on their wedding was because her mother threatened her." Liz said.
"What?" max asked.
"Amy Deluca found out about your alien origin and told Maria she couldnt Marry, If she did she would turn him in to the FBI. Maria got scared and thats why she left." Liz said softly.
"and michael never knew this?" Max asked.
"yes and I want maria to tell him, He has to hear it from her not you!" Liz said poking him in the chest with her finger.
Michael walked down the street. He looked over and Saw Maria and Ben In the crashdown. Ben Looked so happy as he smiled at his mother and shoved a french fry in her mouth. Maria was smiling happly as she hugged her little Boy. Michael then realized that Maria maded the perfect mother.
"What are you staring at?" Ashlee said as she wrapped her arms around him.
"oh nothing, I was just thinking about how much I love you" Michael said smiling as he leaned in to kiss her. Maria Looked over out the window and saw Michael kissing ashlee. 'get a room' she thought as she smiled at Ben. Maria wondered If michael ever told ashlee about her. She highly doubt it.
"so sweetie do you have any plans tonight?" Ashlee asked with a smile.
"Sort of kind of" Michael replied.
"well I was hoping we could get something to eat and you know spend some quality time together" Ashlee said with an innocent smile.
"I would love that but, I told Isabel I would meet her at the crashdown. She was freaking about something" Michael replied.
"oh ok, Well then when your done I'll meet you at home" She said and Kissed him quickly and took off. Michael walked into the crashdown. And sat across from Maria and Ben.
"hey" he said softly.
"What do you want Guerin" maria replied as she sipped on her cherry cola.
" I wanted to talk"
" No we spoke earlier and have nothing to say to each other" Maria said.
" actually we have alot to say. Alot of stuff that needs to be worked out, and the Number one thing is our son"
" does your future know about us? Or did you conviently leave us out of conversations."
" Ashlee doesnt need to know about you or ben right now" Michael replied.
"Oh ok, so were like your dirty little Secret?" maria said.
"No, thats not.."
"Save it" Maria said.
The next Morning -
Maria Knocked on Michael's apartment door. Ashlee answered the door.
"can I help you?" She asked.
"Hi, umm Is michael home?" She asked.
"No he's out at the moment. What do you want with him?" ashlee asked smiling at ben.
"Ohh well Umm He needs to see his son. You must be his new woman, I dont think we have been properly introuduce. I'm Maria Deluca Michael's Ex and this is His son ben" Ashlee Looked at maria with a suprised face. Maria sat in the living room while Ashlee was on the phone. Ben was getting restless.
"ben sweetie why do you make yourself at home" Maria said.
"ok" Ben said curling up on the couch.
Ashlee Feverishly dialed michael's cell Number. Michael was came out of the Flower shop and heard his phone ringing.
"hello" He said into the phone.
"Guerin remember when you told me that there was no secret you were keeping from me and that you had nothing to hide?" Michael knew he was in trouble any time A girl called him by his last name was sign that told him Danger was ahead.
"yes ash, why are you bringing this up?" Michael said knowing in the back of his mind that Maria had done something.
"Well umm your son and ex Girlfriend have showed there faces here! Why didnt you tell me you had a son!" Ashlee yelled into the phone.
"Ohh I'm sorry to bother you but If I'm a big pain I'll just leave. Come On ben I know when I'm not wanted" Maria said loud enough so that michael could hear it in the phone, she slammed the door and left.
"What the hell is going on Michael? " Ashlee said into the phone.
"Its a long story" Michael said.
"Well you better get your sorry ass back here and tell it!" Ashlee said as she hung the phone up. Michael hung the phone up. He made a mental note to pay maria a visit tonight.

Michael banged on Amy Deluca's Door. No one answered. He banged again.
"Maria I know your in there!" michael yelled. He went bang on the door Again and May opened th door.
"Stop Banging on the dam door!" Amy yelled.
"I need to see Maria" he asked.
"She's In the back but believe me she doesnt want to see you" Amy said.
"maria!" Michael yelled as he pushed his way through the house.
"Stop yelling!" Maria said as she came out from the back of the house.
" what the hell were trying to accomplish today!" Michael yelled.
"What are you talking about?" Maria said acting stupid.
"you know what I am talking about" Michael said.
"Ohh your talking about the little run in with your future wife? Well That was the highlight of my day" maria said as she sat down on the living room couch.
" Are you trying to mess things up with me and ashlee? I Got my ass chewed out for an hour! She wont even look at me anymore."
"Good, I didnt like her anyway. She's not your type" Maria said with smirk.
"And who is my type Maria" Michael asked. Maria was slient, she wouldnt even look him in the eye. He knew the answer.
"Your not going to break us up" michael said.
'Does she know about your alien side?" Maria asked finally looking into his eyes.
"No" Michael said. Maria laughed, michael didnt know what was so funny.
"What the hell is so funny?" Michael asked.
" I wonder what her reaction would be If I told her you were from another planet? I can see her freaking out right now!" Maria said laughing.
"This isnt funny Maria." Michael said.
"yes it is! I cant see what you see in her! She's...she's too much a of barbie doll type" maria said laughing.
" Maria I am glad you find this amusing!" michael yelled.
"Why dont you go back to your barbie doll future Wife and just forget about me!" In the back of her mind she wanted Michael to not forget her. She fixed The pillows on the couch. And quickly went into the kitchen.
"you dont want me to leave. I can see it in your eyes. " Michael said. Maria had enough of michael.
" your Blind Michael" Maria said.
"I know what I see and I know what I feel, were connected even more now by Ben."
" I know, and There is nothing I can do about that" Maria said softly.
" why did you shut me out? Why did you leave? Thats all I want to know." michael said.
" Michael please dont ask me that" Maria whispered.
" I'm going to keep asking you that until you give me an answer"
Ben came running out of the bedroom. And Jumped into Michael's arms.
"ben sweetie whats wrong?" maria asked Him as she pulled him out of michael's arms.
"I had a bad dream" ben said as he laid his Head on her shoulder.
"maria let me take care of this" Michael said as he Pulled ben out of Maria's arms and carried him back into the bedroom. He Laid ben in the bed and covered him up and then got down to eye level with him next to the bed.
" Are you my Daddy?" Ben asked softly.
"yes" Michael said softly. Ben Leaned over and Hugged him tighly. Maria watched Them in the door way. Michael Then crawled into bed with him. Ben curled up next to michael and laid his head on his shoulder.
"ok This is what I do when I have a bad dream. I think of something that will make me brave, Like maybe a best friend or something. And then when I have bad dreams I think about that and it doesnt scare me anymore."
"Really" Ben said softly.
"yeah so what can you think of that will make you brave and wont make you scared anymore?" Michael asked.
"you and mommy" Michael smiled.
"Ok Think of me and Mommy. close your eyes and picture me and Mommy together" Michael said softly. Maria crawled into bed to on the other side of Ben. He snuggled up between the both of them. Michael put his arm Behind ben. He touched Maria's back softly with his hand. Maria smiled it was gesture she hadnt felt in so long. Ben was fast asleep between them. Maria Turned to face michael.
"thank you for doing this" Maria said softly. Michael could see she was exhausted and tired. Michael could barely keep his eyes Open. They All fell asleep together.
The next Morning -
Ben woke up and jumped out of bed to the smell Of amy deluca cooking breakfast. He ran into the kitchen in a hurry. Maria was still asleep wrapped up in michael's arms. She slowly opened her eyes and realized where she was. Michael rolled over and pulled Maria closer.
"Michael" Maria whispered softly. Michael didnt waked up. She nudged him slightly.
"What?" Michael said tiredly.
"you have to go its morning" Maria said. Michael opened his eyes he rolled over and looked at the clock, It said 8am.
"Oh sit!" he said getting up.
Maria Got up and found ben eating breakfast the table. Michael hurried out of the house.
" so...Mind telling me why michael spent the night?" Amy deluca asked as she poured herself coffee.
" He got ben to go back to sleep last night when He had a bad dream and fell asleep"
" I came into the room this morning and found you two with ben curled up in the middle. Maria, he's getting married in a couple of weeks what are trying to do?" her mother asked.
"I'm not trying to do anything" maria said smiling at ben as he ate breakfast.
" Looks to me like your trying to get Michael back." amy deluca said.
"Well your wrong" Maria said as she went to the living and turned on the tv. Maria furiously changed the channels on the tv, what was wrong with her! Was she was trying to get Michael back she had to admit to herself, she still did care about him and always wppd now that they have a son.
Michael slowly and quietly entered the apartment. He found ashlee asleep on the couch. She stirred softly. michael leaned down and kissed the top of her head. He needed to figure out what to do. He quickly left the apartment. He called max on his cell. "Michael" Maria whispered softly. Michael didnt waked up. She nudged him slightly.
"What?" Michael said tiredly.
"you have to go its morning" Maria said. Michael opened his eyes he rolled over and looked at the clock, It said 8am.
"Oh sit!" he said getting up.
Maria Got up and found ben eating breakfast the table. Michael hurried out of the house.
" so...Mind telling me why michael spent the night?" Amy deluca asked as she poured herself coffee.
" He got ben to go back to sleep last night when He had a bad dream and fell asleep"
" I came into the room this morning and found you two with ben curled up in the middle. Maria, he's getting married in a couple of weeks what are trying to do?" her mother asked.
"I'm not trying to do anything" maria said smiling at ben as he ate breakfast.
" Looks to me like your trying to get Michael back." amy deluca said.
"Well your wrong" Maria said as she went to the living and turned on the tv. Maria furiously changed the channels on the tv, what was wrong with her! Was she was trying to get Michael back she had to admit to herself, she still did care about him and always wppd now that they have a son.
Michael slowly and quietly entered the apartment. He found ashlee asleep on the couch. She stirred softly. michael leaned down and kissed the top of her head. He needed to figure out what to do. He quickly left the apartment. He called max on his cell. Max was always good about deciding things, maybe he could help me out michael thought as the number rang three times and a tired sounding max answered.
"meet me at the crashdown I need some advice" Michael said as he hung up.

Chapter 4
Michael sat across from max In their usual back booth. Michael looked like had Just been through hell and back or something.
"whats going on? I know something is up when you need my advice" Max said sipping on a cherry coke laced with hotsuace.
" I dont know what to do max. When I saw Maria with ben I...I realized that he needs a father. And then last night, I spent the night with her, and I realized I still want her." Max looked At him suprised.
"You..spent the night with maria!" Max yelled.
"We didnt do anything! We just slept!" Michael yelled. Max laughed.
"yeah good one!"
"I am being serious!"
" Ok so your being serious. Ok did maria ever...tell you why she left that day?" Max asked him cuirously.
"No, She wont tell me, why do you ask is there something I dont know?"
"No, not.. at all" Max said trying to look innocent.
"tell me Maxwell"
"Look...I'm not suppose to say anything..Maria left because..." Michael stopped him and he looked over and saw a very upset and angry Ashlee coming towards him.
"Hold that thought" As he got up and went top ashlee.
"What the hell is your problem! Where were you last night!" She yelled.
"I'm sorry I got held up with something and.."
" Michael! I feel Like that your keeping secrets from me, first your ex shows up with your kid and then you dont even come home last night! I cant marry you unless I know that your not keeping anything from me!" Ashlee yelled as she stormed out of the crashdown. Michael sat back down across from Max.
"Ok, You never told her about your about your alien origin! Thats where you made your biggest mistake!" Max yelled.
" I know! ok!" Michael said leaning back.
" Man Michael your in over your head! your going to have decide what to do. Do you Love Maria still?" Max asked. Michael looked up at, Max already knew the answer.
"I never stopped loving her" Michael said softly.
"What about Ashlee? You love her enough to marry her"
"yeah but Ashlee is so different from Maria." Michael said.
" Then do whats best"
"Now , tell me what you know" Michael said.
" Oh umm Look at the time I got to go" Max said as he started to get up.
"maxwell sit! Tell me now! Maria left because..." Max knew he wasnt going to get out of this one. He knew that He would be in big trouble if he broke Liz's promise.
"Ok Maria left that day because she was scared" Max said.
"Scared of what? To marry me?"
"No, scared That you would be captured by the FBI" max replied.
"Why would she think that!" michael yelled.
"because her Mother Threatened to Turn you into the FBI If she Married you, she knows about your Alien origin" Max replied.,
"So thats why! Why didnt she say anything to me? She could of told me!" Michael yelled again.
" I dont know, Liz told me everything"
"liz told you? She knew all this time and didnt say anything to me!"
"She wanted Maria to tell you, But I thought I would do it since maria wasnt going to do it! You had to know"
"Thanks" michael said as he stormed out of the crashdown angry.
Michael knocked furiously on the front door of the deluca residence. Amy Deluca answered.
"back already?" Amy asked as michael stormed in.
"Where is Maria, and how the hell did you have the right to Tell her that she couldnt marry me!" Amy closed the door to the house. She knew this was coming.
"Look, michael thats in the past" Amy said.
"No it isnt because I just now found out about this seven years later!" Michael yelled. Maria came into the room.
"What the hell is going on?" She asked.
"Why didnt you tell me! I went seven years of my life not knowing that you left because of you were threatened by your own mother" Michael said trying to calm down.
"Who told you?" Maria asked.
"It doesnt matter who told me. The point is I should of known, and Now I do. And you know what I'm getting married in a few weeks. And Here I was going to make things work with you. But Now I cant, knowing what I know now." Michael said as he walked off. Maria wanted to stop him but she couldnt.
"Are you going to stop him?" Amy asked.
"No I'm not, He is doing what he thinks is right and I so going to Kill Liz for telling him!" Maria yelled as she grabbed the phone and dialed Liz's Number.
" I cant believe you!" she yelled into the phone as she tried to clean up Ben's toys off the floor.
"What are you talking about Maria? Stop yelling at me" Liz said into the phone as she glanced over at her husband.
"you told him why I left! Now Everything is messed up!" Maria yelled.
"I didnt tell him anything! And besides he needed to know anyways. If you want my opionion I think he making the worse decision in the world by marrying Ashlee. He's still in love with you" Liz said. Max sat on the bed with Liz. He started Kissing her. Liz pushed him away.
" I know But, you know what its his life and I'm not interfering anymore!" Maria hung the phone and threw it on the bed.
Michael entered the apartment, he looked down and saw several bags packed on the floor. He looked over and seen ashlee carrying more bags.
"what are you doing?" He asked taking the bag from her.
"I'm....Going to go away to New york a few weeks" Ashlee said.
"What? We get married in a few weeks"
"I know, But you need time to think and I need time to think."
"you dont want to marry me you can just say so" michael said.
"Its not that I just need time to think, clear my head" Michael grabbed her and kissed her softly. He wanted to see if he could feel that sensation he felt with maria. He didnt see and he didnt get the flashes.
" Nothing" he said as he pulled away from her.
"what?" Ashlee asked.
"Nothing, umm ok I guess you going to New york for a while is a good idea" Michael said softly.
"I know, call me I'll be staying with a friend" she said handing him a card with a number and address on the back.
"Ok" he said helping her with her bags. Michael closed th door behind her and Leaned on the door. What the hell was he going to do now.
"You told him!" Liz yelled.
"yeah I did, he knew that I knew something and he needed to know." Max said.
"what if he marries her, that will make Maria run again. And...I dont want to see either of them unhappy. They are meant for each other."
"They are" Max said Looking into his beautiful wife's Eyes.
"ohh no! Your Not getting anything from me! You broke the promise!" Liz yelled.
"So what! Maria wasnt going to tell him anyways!" Max yelled.
"You know your so cute when your mad" Liz said with a smile and Kissed his cheek.
" am I really? Well maybe I should get mad alot more so that I can get some Lovin" he said kissing her.
Michael needed some air. He sat in the park and started thinking. He looked over and saw Maria walking towards him.
"Hey" She whispered softly.
"Dont Hey me, I really have nothing to say to you. Where's ben?" he asked.
"With my mom, she's taking him shopping for new clothes. I thought you had nothing to say to me?" Maria asked.
"look..you come back here and make everything worse" Michael said.
"I'm sorry, I know that your mad at me for why I left but I thought I was doing the right thing."
"Well didnt, Every night I thought about you. now Things are different"
"I know your with ashlee and Thats fine, I'll be at the wedding to support you both" Maria said knowing that she couldnt see watching michael marry some othe woman.
"There may not even be a wedding" Michael replied.
"What? I..If I did something to mess things Up I am sorry. I wasnt trying to ruin your life now. Me and Ben will leave" Maria said as she started to get up. Michael stopped her.
"no, It was me. I couldnt admit to myself that I am still in love with you" michael said softly. Maria smiled a half smile. Michael leaned in and started to kiss her. He felt droplets of water fall on his face. He ignored It as he kissed Maria. There it was, the sensation her felt when he was with her. The Flashes were so intense. He saw maria raising Ben all alone and struggling, he saw her crying to sleep at night. The rain came pouring down. And both maria and Michael were soaked. Maria got up and started to walk away.
"Wait!" michael yelled as he caught up with in the rain.
"No! I cant do this, you have someone else!" Maria yelled.
"I dont feel the same way about ashlee as I feel about you!" Michael pulled Maria into his arms and kissed her again. The Rain poured down even more. Michael took maria by the hand and they ran to his apartment. maria walked Into his apartment and was soaked and wet from head to toe. Michael looked over at her and realized she looked like a drown rat. her hair was a tangled mess. He walked towards her and touched her hair.
"Michael I..cant do this" She said softly.
"Shhh" he said Putting a finger up to he lips. She started to say something else But He stopped her. Maria Pulled away.

Michael thought he was such a fool. He should of stopped her, he should of kept her from leaving. He sat against The wall on the floor in his wet clothes with his hands covering his face.
The next Morning -
Maria was awakened by Ben jumping on the bed. She tried to ignore him but he jumped furiously up and down and landed on top her with a thump.
"ben!" maria yelled.
"Wake up mommy!" Ben yelled.
"I am awake sweetie, why arent you downstairs With grams?" She asked yawning.
"Grams isnt here, she had to work" Ben said.
"ok well How about I make you some of mommy's favorite pancakes with whip cream" She said excitedly.
"OK!" Ben said running out of the room.
Maria was busy in the kitchen making breakfast. Her mind kept drifting back to michael. There was a soft knock on the front door. Maria handed Ben a pancake on a plate and kissed the top of his head and went to answer the door. She opened the door and was suprised to see Michael standing there.
"Hey" He said softly. Maria looked into his eyes and was reliving the kiss from last night.
"What are you doing here? your the last person I want to see right now" Maria said softly.
" I came to see ben" Michael walked in and ben came running up to him.
"Daddy!" he yelled as he leaped into michael's arms.
" hey Kiddo! I got you something" He handed Ben The bobble head alien.
"Wow! Mommy! Look! Its an alien! Mommy? Am I an alien?" ben asked curiously. Maria laughed and touched his nose.
"you can be whatever you want to be" Maria said hugging him. Ben went running into the living with his new Alien bobble head.
"I was hoping we could talk" Michael said Not able to look into her eyes.
" God We have done enough talking I am tired of talking" maria said as she sat The table and Picked at the left over food ben left on his plate. Michael sat across from her.
" After last night I decided whats best for me" Michael said softly.
"And whats that?" maria asked softly.
" You" he said softly.
"No, No No dont do this, Dont come in here and say that you want me you have another girl waiting for you!" maria yelled.
" I dont even know If I want to be with ashlee! When we...Kissed I saw what I need to know and what My decision was" michael said.
"Well thats great, and where does ashlee fit in the big broad picture? What If I told you I was Leaving roswell tonight?" maria said seeing the hurt in his eyes.
"What? No you cant! your not leaving town with my son!" Michael yelled.
" you cant stop me!" maria said as threw the plate in teh sink.
"Now your playing dirty! Why are you doing this after what happened last night!" Michael yelled.
"because I am doing whats best for me and my son!" Maria looked over and saw ben standing there. He was standing there the whole time listening.
"I dont want to go mommy!" He yelled and cried.
"ben sweetie" Maria said chasing after him.
"I dont want to leave roswell! I dont want to leave daddy! Mommy your so unhappy with Daddy! Your color isnt the same when daddy isnt around!" Ben cried as he held the bobble head alien like a doll.
"What do you mean by my color sweetie?" Maria asked as she wiped his tears away.
"Mommy the color that surrounds you when I see you. Its beautiful, it turns colors when your around daddy." ben said. Michael listened to from the door way of the room.
"I told you sweetie we werent going to stay that long"
"But you love daddy!" he said running out of the room. michael followed him and grabbed him and carried him into the living.
"Kiddo, stop crying everything will ok, you sit here while me and mommy go outside and talk some more and will figure out a way where you can see me all the time" He said touching his nose. Ben Giggled a little. Michael turned the tv on and went outside with Maria.
" Look you cant do this" Michael said.
" your not stopping me" Maria said.
" Maria! He is my son!" Michael yelled.
" yes he is! there is no denying that! He's the spliting image of you! he reminded me of you everyday!" Maria yelled as she cried.
" If you leave you will never see me again."
"what?"
"I'm going to marry Ashlee and Move to New york."
"go ahead if that what makes you happy!" maria yelled.
"Nothing will make me happy but you! I dont want you to leave! Look....I'll make a deal with you. If you meet me at the crashdown tonight I'll know that you want to be with me. If you dont then goodbye. I'll start my life with ashlee" Michael said softly. Maria didnt say anything, she opened the door and went in and told Ben to say goodbye to michael. Ben came running out to hug him.
"By Kiddo" he said softly.
" Were not going anywhere daddy" Ben said holding his alien Bobble head.
"I hope so" Michael said looking up at Maria. If he had to he would Sit in the crashdown and wait for her all night. If she didnt show he knew what he had to do.

" If you leave you will never see me again."

"I'm going to marry Ashlee and Move to New york."
"go ahead if that what makes you happy!" maria yelled.
"Nothing will make me happy but you! I dont want you to leave! Look....I'll make a deal with you. If you meet me at the crashdown tonight I'll know that you want to be with me. If you dont then goodbye. I'll start my life with ashlee" Michael said softly. Maria didnt say anything, she opened the door and went in and told Ben to say goodbye to michael. Ben came running out to hug him.
"By Kiddo" he said softly.
" Were not going anywhere daddy" Ben said holding his alien Bobble head.
"I hope so" Michael said looking up at Maria. If he had to he would Sit in the crashdown and wait for her all night. If she didnt show he knew what he had to do.

Chapter 6
That night -
Michael nervously waited in the crashdown. He paced back and fourth in front of the door.
"She's Not coming" Ma whispered softly.
"You dont know that!" Michael yelled.
"Its 2am" he said looking down at his watch. Michael furiously pulled the chair out from under the table. He laid his head on the table. Max didnt know what to say or do. He was hoping Liz was talking some sense into maria right now.
Liz pulled the bag from Maria's hands and threw it on the floor. She wasnt going to let maria leave.
"you cant do this! Michael wants you he needs you!" Liz yelled.
" Liz move I'm going!" Maria said pushing her.
" I dont understand you! why are you running? What are you afraid of? I sure as hell know it isnt the FBI." Maria stopped and turned towards Liz and started to cry.
" I dont want to hurt him again." Maria said softly.
"You wont if your with him" Liz said.
"I know But me and Him have been through much. And I feel Like That maybe he wouldnt trust me anymore"
"Go, meet him" Liz said as she hugged maria tightly. Maria Rushed out the door.
When she got to the crashdown michael wasnt there. She saw max sitting there Eating a piece of Blackberry pie. She walked in and sat across from max.
"your too late, he's gone" Max said softly.
"What? Where did he go?" maria said.
" He went to New york, to see AShlee" Max said.
"No! If I cant leave he cant leave!" Maria yelled.
" Its too late maria, by now he's probably already on the plane" Max said. Maria covered her face with her hands. She cried sliently and quickly left. Now she could leave roswell. She had no reason to stay.
The next morning -
Ben jumped on her bed like he does every morning to wake her up.
"good morning mommy" he said softly plopping down on her.
"ben its too early!" She said depressed and tired.
"I have a secret" Ben said whispering in her ear. Maria sat up and looked at him curiously.
"A secret?" She said rubbing her eyes.
"yeah I'm not suppose to tell" Ben said as he ran out of the room. Maria laid there just wanting to sleep away everything. Sleep away the existence Of michael and what she felt for him. Michael Opened the door to the room and slowly Went towards the bed. Maria was fast asleep. Ben watched with a smile. Michael told ben to be very quiet. He slowly leaned down and watched Maria sleep. He Then tapped Maria on the shoulder.
"ben! Let Mommy sleep!" Maria yelled as she swatted Michael's hand. Michael laughed and Then ben laughed. Michael tapped her again.
"ben! stop!" maria sat and looke over and saw Michael.
" I forgot how grumpy you get when you dont get your sleep" Michael said softly smiling. Maria smiled and wrapped her arms around michael and kissed him. Ben Laughed as he watched his mommy and daddy Kiss.
"ewww! Mommy stop kissing Daddy!" He yelled as he jumped in between them.
" I thought you were gone?" Maria asked softly.
"I got half way to the airport and realized that I couldnt live without the mother of my son. And Little guy here talked me into coming back" Michael said patting his the top of his sons head.
"What?" Maria said looking confused.
"its a long story come here" he said pulling her into his arms and kissing her softly.
"Ewww gross!" ben said yelling as he ran out of the room.
"Well Now I know the trick to getting some alone time" michael said laughing as touched Maria's face.
" Is this real? Are we really happy now?" maria said curling up next to him.
"I think so" Michael said.
"What about Ashlee?" maria asked curiously.
" what about her? she is in the past. Your the girl I want" Michael said kissing the top of her head.
" Am I really after everything that has happened?"
"yes, now come on Me and Ben have made something for you" Maria smiled and quickly got up.
"I'm afraid to know what it is" She followed Michael out into the living room. Maria Stood there in shock, as Ben Stood in front of his master piece.
"Oh My god!" maria said with a shocked face.
"you like it mommy?" Ben asked with a smile on his face.

Chapter 7a
"yes sweetie I do! He's so cute and he looks just like..." maria turned towards michael.
"Like the one I saw in the flash I had. ?" Michael continued. Maria Picked the beautiful dalmation dog up and cuddled it softly.
"mommy can I name him?" ben asked.
"sure sweetie" maria said. Ben thought long and hard and then the perfect name popped into his head.
"Pongo" maria laughed, she looked at the dog and smiled.
"That name suits him" Maria said as she smiled at michael. She looked down and noticed the ribbon around its neck. She pulled the ribbon off and saw the ring. Maria Put the dog down and examined the ring.
"Oh my god!" She said softly.
" I proposed to you once and I will do it again. Maria deluca will you marry me?" Michael said with a smile. Maria smiled and practically jumped into his arms and kissed him.
"I'm taking that as a yes?" Michael said.
"Thats a definet yes" Maria said kissing him softly. Ben played with Pongo. Pongo wimpered and licked ben's face. Ben laughed and giggled.
"Its ok to be scared of a new place pongo! We will love you! No need to worry!" Ben said hugging the dog. Maria wondered sometimes if ben had a power that was greater then michaels maybe he could read thoughts and emotions. Michael played with ben and the dog pongo. Maria watched them, this time things were going to be like she planned. She was going to be happy and she couldnt wait to be married. And nothing was going to stop the wedding from happening.
Later that day -
Maria had Max and Liz babysitting ben. Michael and maria needed some time to theirselves. They laid in bed together just taking each other in. Michael brushed her arm with his thumb. He knew she was thinking about something.
"What are you thinking about?" Michael asked Kissing her shoulder.
" you" She whispered as she turned towards him.
"What about me?" He asked.
"Well How I Love you so much and how happy I am right now" Maria said as she brushed his bangs from his face.
"really?" He said kissing her.
"really" maria said she curled up next to him.
Maria was happy once again. The phone rang and Michael quickly picked it up.
"hello" Michael said into the phone. A frantic Liz parker was on the other end of the line.
" something is wrong with Ben" she saif into the phone.
"We'll be right there" he hung up the phone and quickly got up and got dressed.
"Whats going on?" maria asked getting up.
"I dont Liz said there was something wrong with ben" Maria started to get worried as she got dressed and headed out the door with michael.

A/N - sorry this chapter isnt that great! LOL! The chapter after this one will be the last chapter! And it will have a happpy ending, and you never know there could be a sequel in the works!
Chapter 7b
Michael and maria walked into max' and Liz's place and found it looking like a hurricane had hit the living room. Maria stepped over the broken lamp on the floor and found Liz and max with ben in th kitchen.
"What the hell happened?" Michael asked as maria went to ben.
" maria we need to talk" Liz said taking her by the hand and pulling her into the back of the house.
"Whats going on? you said something was wrong with ben?" maria said.
" Did you know he could blow things up?" Liz asked. Maria held her hand to her head.
" He was blowing things up for a while and then it stopped. And then the other day he said he could see colors around certain people" Maria replied.
" He was fine for a while and then I think My husband gave him a little too much sugar and he got hyper and started blowing things up for fun." Liz said.
"Oh god, I was hoping that his powers wouldnt be this bad. I mean, they were on and off. One day he would blow things up and the next it was like he didnt have powers" Maria said.
" Maybe The connection with Michael made his powers stronger and it doesnt help when My lovable husband feeds him a crap load of sugar" Liz said.
"maybe we should blame max for this one?" Maria said with a smile.
"I think so" Liz said laughing.
" But to be on the safe side maybe Michael should help him control his powers" Maria said.
"That would be a good idea. Because we cant have him blowing things up in public" Liz said as she went back into the kitchen with Max, michael and ben.
"Ben Sweetie you did all this didnt you?" Maria asked looking her son in the eye.
"yes mommy I was just having a little fun!" he yelled.
"Its ok sweetie" Maria said hugging him. Maria, Michael and ben left. Liz looked over at the distruction in her living room.
"Makes you want to have kids?" Max asked.
"yeah, But I'll makesure that you dont give too much dam sugar!" Liz yelled poking him in the chest.
"how is this my fault!"
"Lets see how many popsicles did you give him?" Liz asked wrapping her arms around her neck.
" two" He said kissing her. She could taste the cherry popsicle he had on his lips earlier.
" sure" she whispered.
"So are we goingto clean up this mess? Or are we going to you know..." he said kissing her. Liz smiled and laughed.
"The second option sounds better then the first. And I was thinking, maybe we should try to have kids. I mean, I like ben, he's too cute for words"
"really?" Max said.
"Really" Liz whispered.
"Well then lets start right now" Max said as he picked her up and carried her to their room.
Maria Plopped down on the couch, Michael plopped down next to her. Ben plopped down on top of both of them. He smiled up his daddy.
"Daddy?" He asked.
"What kiddo?" he asked.
"Am I different from everyone else? Auntie Lizzie says I'm different but special from everyone else" ben asked. Michael smiled and brushed his hair away from his face.
"yeah, your our special little angel." Michael said. Ben smiled and Hugged Michael tightly.
" You and mommy are special to me" Ben said as he crawled off the couch and went into kitchen. Michael scooted over closer to Maria. Maria laid her head on his shoulder.
"you know were going to have watch him closely" Maria said softly.
"I know" Michael said Kissing maria on the top of her head.
"Well I think maybe we should go have some fun" maria said slapping him in the leg.
"Fun? Now?" Michael said.
"yeah why not, we can go down to the bowling alley. Ben has never been bowling" Maria said.
"sounds like fun" Michael said. Michael kissed her. And suddenly the phone rang. Ben answered the phone.
"hello" He said into the phone. He ran into the living with the phone and handed it to michael.
"hello" he said into the phone.
"Michael, hey its Ashlee" The familiar voice said into the phone.
"Ohh hey how's New york" Michael said mouthing the word Ashlee to maria. Maria quickly got up and went to the kitchen and fixed Ben something to eat.
"its great, hey listen I thought about things and I realized I..was missing something here in New york that roswell didnt have."
"Oh ok" michael said looking over at maria. Maria was getting mad. 'Did he not tell ashlee that we were back together?' she thought as ben pulled at her clothes.
"Mommy I think Bowling is a good idea" he said.
" I'm sorry things didnt work out for us" ashlee said into the phone.
"yeah I'm sorry too" Michael said.
"Well I hope we can still be friends"
"Sure friends that would be great" Maria Listened on, she was relieved. Michael looked over at her and smiled.
"Well I better go Talk to you soon" Michael said as he hung the phone up. Maria was giving him that look.
"What?" he asked.
"Nothing" Maria said as she back to making Ben a peanut butter and jelly sandwhich. Michael walked into the kitchen and wrapped his arms around her.
" I love you" He whispered in her ear. She smiled and let him kiss her neck.
"mommy!" ben yelled. maria came back to reality and finished his sandwhich. And handed it to ben.
later that night -
Maria watched Ben and michael sleeping on the couch. They looked so cute. Michael was laying across the couch and ben was laying on top of him fast asleep. They both had their arms hanging over the side of the couch. Maria smiled there was so much of Michael in ben. And so much of her in ben. Michael stirred.
"shhh, dont move you'll wake him" Maria said. Maria picked ben up slowly and held while michael got up, then she laid him back down on the couch. they both went to the bedroom.
"he had so much fun bowling" Maria said she slowly closed the door.
"yeah he did" michael said crawling to bed. Maria laid next to him.
" so what did ashlee say?" Maria asked curiously.
" That she had missed something in New york that wasnt here in roswell" Michael said fixing the pillow.
"oh thats good" maria said snuggling up next to him.
" Look I want everything to be in the past with us. Lets start over again" Michael said turning towards her.
"that would be great" Maria said with a smile. As she fell asleep with michael.
