Summery:
Basically I got the idea from the new Jesse McCartney song, ‘Just so you know’ In the film clip they go camping and they like each other but they dont get together, but this is much different. Max and Kyle are friends, but what happens when they decide to go camping with their girlfriends Tess and Liz and feelings begin to change who they are being felt for?

Authors Note:
This was supposed to only be a one-parter but I decided to break it all up … there are five parts to the story. Ok so we all know that I hate the concept of Max and Tess, but I have decided to give it a shot and don’t worry it is a max and Liz story after all just this time the story starts with him and Tess. Like I said in the summary I got the idea from the new Jesse McCartney song, ‘Just so you know’.








Chapter 1

“Hey Maxwell” Kyle shouts as he walks up to Max, his arm wrapped protectively around his girlfriend.

“Kyle, I thought you weren’t coming” Max states as he turns around hearing his friends voice but freezes as he sees the beauty that is by his side, she glances up at him freezing momentarily before flashing him a small smile.

“Maxwell this is Liz my girlfriend, Liz this is a friend of mine” Kyle introduces bluntly while eyeing the blonde bombshell that was sitting in the back seat of his friend’s jeep.

He smiled at her knowingly and she smiled back just the same way.

“It’s nice to finally meet you” Max said not noticing the looks being shared between Kyle and Tess and he shacked Liz’s hand gently.

“Yeah you too” Liz replied as she too ignored the others and focused on Max…

‘Ohh his hands are sooo gentle’

Max stared at her intensely thinking back to when Kyle had told him that he had been seeing someone else on the side. He wondered why Kyle would do such a thing.

Why would he cheat on a beautiful creature like her?

“Tess this is Kyle, Kyle … Tess my girlfriend” Max says while diverting his eyes from Liz to introduce them properly.

“Nice to meet you” Tess says with another hidden smile as she shakes Kyle’s hand.

“Ok enough introductions, are we ready to hit the road?” Max says as he grabs his keys from his back pocket and jumps into the driver’s seat.

“Who’s ridding in the front?” he asks as he glances back and watches as Kyle smiles at Liz suggestively, while wiggling his eyebrows.

“How ‘bout we take the back seat to ourselves?” Kyle says hotly to Liz and she rolls her eyes as she jumps into the back while saying. “In your dreams Valenti”.

Max smiles and turns to the passenger side door, watching as Tess attempts to sit in but fails miserably.

You see Tess has this habit of wearing extremely short skirts which at first during the beginning of their relationship Max did not like her to wear out in public, but now he really can’t be bothered saying anything.

They have been together for three months now and at first it was all great, there was a spark between them and they both knew it the moment they saw each other, but after a while they both found themselves less and less interested in each other.

Neither wanted to say anything because lets face it they are the perfect couple. He’s the captain of the football team and she’s the loving cheerleader girlfriend.

Max glances up at his rear-view mirror and looks at the girl that his best friend has been dating for 2 months now.

She’s a mystery to him.

He doesn’t understand how he and Kyle just met each others girlfriends now if they have been together for months now and more importantly he doesn’t understand how he could attend the same school as the brunette beauty in the back and not notice her till now.

He watches closely while continuing to drive as Kyle lays his hand on her knee cap. He sees her eyes switch position from looking outside of her window to looking down at his wandering hand warningly.

His hand inches its way further up her thigh and Max’s hold on the steering wheel tightens for a reason yet unknown to him.

The look in Liz’s is enough for anyone to know that she does not want his hand on her and most defiantly not where it was now.

Liz looks up and sees Max looking back from the rear-view mirror, while parked at a red light.

She turns to Kyle and takes in hand in her much smaller one, guiding it upwards into the air and then slamming it straight into his face.

She smiles contently before looking back at Max who also has a grin on his face.

Chapter 2


“Okay, we’re going to have a short break while I get some petrol, so you guys can go inside and order something but make it quick, we wanna be there before dark” Kyle says as he jumps out from the back seat.

Max turns to Tess who is still sitting in the seat beside him and asks if she is going to get out. When she says that she’s just going to stay in the car he nods while getting out and making his way to the backseats.

Liz was in the back getting out of the jeep when Max grabbed her hand and helped her to her feet.

“Thanks” she says smiling as she brushes pass him making her way to the ice cream shop.

Max went to follow, when Kyle called him over.

Making his way over to him he asked “What’s up?”

“Nothing I just wanted to say that I’ll drive the rest of the way and you can take the backseat” Kyle answered and Max nodded.

“Thanks” he says while walking over to the ice cream shop that Liz had disappeared into.

“Hey” he says as he makes his way over to her, standing beside her.

“Hey yourself” she says blushing at her flirtatious tone.

“So, I saw what happened in the car back there” Max says as they wait in line to be served.

“Oh, you did?” Liz says as she turns to him.

“Yeah, if I didn’t know any better I’d say you two are going through a rough time” Max says matter a factly.

“Answer me one question” Liz says as she walks to stand in front of his making him look directly at her.

“Anything?” Max says feeling breathless as he actually gets a chance to look at her from head to toe.

“When did you become Doctor Phil?” she laughs jokingly.

“Since I worked out that my friend is a total jerk for touching you, in a way that you obviously did not want to be touched” Max states before he knows what words are coming out of his mouth.

“It infuriates me to see something like that happen to someone like you” he adds.

Liz looks up at him shocked and then smiles slightly before questioning, “Someone like me?”

Max looks at her before answering truthfully “Someone beautiful and someone who deserves much better”

As Max looked down at her petite form he continued to wonder why Kyle would use her like he was.

She was so beautiful and she deserved so much more than a cheating boyfriend.

“Ohh so who do you think I deserve?” she asks while walking to the counter and ordering a vanilla milkshake.

“You deserve someone who is going to make you happy, someone whose heart races when he first sees you, someone …”

“Someone like you?” Liz asks almost hopefully.

Max grins at her obvious observation and blushes shyly while nodding slightly.

“Possibly” he says, making Liz giggle.

After ordering their shakes they made their way back to the jeep where Tess and Kyle where seated in the front, leaving the back for them.

“How ‘bout we take the back seat to ourselves?” Max says then in his best Kyle voice, making Liz burst out laughing.

Max watches as Kyle turns to look out his window with a jealous look upon his face, but he covers it up by saying.

“You guys comin’ or what?”

Chapter 3


Max and Liz dose off while in the back seat of the jeep.

Liz stirs and he eyes flutter open, she looks up at Max to see him sleeping peacefully then turn to the front where Kyle and Tess have yet to realise that she has awoken.

She watches shocked as she sees Kyle’s hand travel up Tess’s skirt pulling and tugging at her panties.

Liz, unsure of what to do nudges Max until his eyes open slightly and he looks down at her.

She then looks tin the direction of Kyle and Tess, while Max’s glaze follows hers and he sees what is happening in the front seat.

He turns to Liz to see her sending him an apologetic look as if to say ‘I’m sorry for his actions’ Max just shakes his head slightly and pulls her into his arms.

Kyle’s head swings to the side suddenly when he saw the faint movement coming from the back seat and flinches when he sees Liz lying with her head on Max’s cheats as she slept.

He could never understand her.

They had been together for two moths now and she would not even touch him, but Max she would.

When he turns around again Max gives Liz a reassuring squeeze, which promises her that everything will be ok.

“Finally, we’re here!” Kyle exclaims as he jumps out of the jeep and runs through the cooling air, stretching his muscles.

“Yeah” Max sighs as he goes to help Liz out of the back but stops when he sees Kyle beside him, pushing him away.

“I got you babe” Kyle says as he licks his lips and kisses Liz on the lips on her way down to the ground.

Liz pulls away disgustedly, and then pushes past him with her bag in hand.

Max follows Liz placing one tent where she is and another a few feet away. He stops as he sees Liz look at him worriedly.

She walks up to him whispering to him “Max I don’t want to share a tent with Kyle”.

“Liz I don’t know what I can do about that” Max says unsure, he doesn’t want Liz staying with Kyle either but all he can do is suggest differently.

“Okay, so how about the girls in one tent and the guys in the other?” Max asks as he makes his way to a tent.

“I don’t want to share with her either, I want to share with you” Liz pouts as she sadly makes her way to the other tent, Max looking as she walks away.

“No, no, no Maxie I want you all to myself tonight” Tess says while walking up to him and wrapping her arms around his waist while nuzzling his neck.

“Yeah, I’d rather stay with my baby” Kyle adds as he jumps into the tent Liz was standing at.

Liz throws Max a worried glance before being pulled into the tent with Kyle.

Chapter 4



Kyle pulls Liz to his lap as he zips up the tent and then attacks her neck hungrily.

“Kyle!” Liz says as she tries to push him off of her, but it does not work.

Kyle inches his way up her neck to her mouth stopping her screams as his hands pull hers to her sides, tucking them under his body’s weight so that she can not move them.

He rips his mouth off of hers, moving down her neck, to the valley between her breasts.

“KYLE STOP!” Liz screams and when opportunity presents its self she knees him in the balls and forces his weight off of her.

Running as quick as she can after opening the tent Liz fled in embarrassment, thinking about what Max would say.

“Tess, stay to your side of the tent” Max says for the second time as he feels her wandering hands close to his manhood.

“KYLE STOP!” …

Max jumps up as soon as he hears the scream and opens the tent in a hurry to see Liz running as fast as she can with her shirt ripped open, slightly at the top.

He rushes after her, casting a warning look at Kyle who managed to make his way out of the tent.

Max disappears into the woods just as Tess walks over to Kyle to see what happened and if he was ok.

Chapter 5


Max continued to walk through the cold woods, following the faint cries that he could hear floating through the midnight air.

“Liz?” he called out but soon spotted her as he neared a near by waterfall.

“Hey” he says running up to her and taking her small, shivering form into his arms comfortingly.

“What happened?” he asks panicing as he rocks her back and forth

“Max I want to go; I don’t want to stay here with him any longer” Liz cried as she wrapped her arms around his neck for protection.

“Okay baby, we’ll go” Max says as he pulls away from her slightly, brushing her hair back and away from her face.

Max then looked down at her appearance, her hair was messy and her face was stained with tears.

The top she wore had the first three buttons missing, which Liz did not realise up till now.

She blushed as she tries to cover up her bra covered chest shyly.

“It’s ok” Max said as he shakes his head and looks away, Liz chuckles at his sweetness and then hears him say.

“I already got a good look”

Liz blushes as she slaps his arm playfully and he grins mischievously at her when he turns around.

He pulls her into his arms and looks down into her eyes before saying “I want to get to know you better, as soon as we get back I’ma gonna spend all my time with you. I want to know everything about you”

Liz giggles softly as she smiles up at his gorgeous face.

“What do you want to know?”

“Well, your last name would be nice” Max chuckles as he realises that he only knows her by Liz.

“Parker, Liz Parker” she answers before asking for his.

“Max Evans” he says.

“Let’s go back to the jeep, we’ll go home and they can catch a ride tomorrow” Max says and then adds. “There’s nothing to worry about I’m here, and I don’t think I’m going anywhere”

“At least not for a while” He adds after a short pause.

Liz slaps his arm again and he grins at her slyly, “I was joking, baby”

“I’m not letting you go anywhere” Liz states firmly, then adds, “I really like you”

He leans his head down, his breathe coming out in short puffs as Liz leans up the extra inch and their lips finally meet in a gentle kiss.

“I really like you too”

Liz moans deeply as she wraps her arms around his neck, her eyes flutter close while she enjoys the feeling that Max’s was giving her.

When Max pulls away he stares down at her, watching as her eyes open and she smiles up at him lovingly.

“You know, I didn’t really want to come on this trip cause the thought of being stuck with Tess was going to haunt me for life, but something good defiantly came out of it, cause I got you” Max says and Liz sighs as she launches up and hugs him raining kisses all over his face.

“Come on Parker, let’s go home” …
