Prologue

Two worlds apart through galaxies across time and space, two lovers will meet. They do not yet know eachother. If they met in the street they would not pass a glance, and when they meet they are most sure to dislike eachother through their morals. The man, still in many ways a boy, arogent and set in his ways with a destiny beyound his reach. The woman, still young a naive girl, with the belifes of beauty and peace ste out to make the world she lives better place. But when this king and lady meet and fall in love, destiny will fall apart, and love will rule again...

Part 1

*Six months ago...*

Dear Miss Parker,

I am writing to you in response of your letter of application to be a teacher to Princess Isabel's children. We looked through your resume and phoned your previous employers, and due to what we have found we are pleased to offer you the job. It will include free accommodation in the palace as well as an assistant to help show you around the kingdom. Unlike our previous statement the job will start in 6 months rather than 1 year, for young Prince Adrian is advancing much faster than we had anticipated. Your job description will include math, English, and Earth history. What else you teach will be up to you. The three children that you will be teaching are Prince Adrian whom is 4, Prince Lesley whom is 8 and Princess Piper whom is also 8. We are looking forward to you arrival here on Antar,

"Well I guess I'm here." One Elizabeth Parker thought to herself. The shuttle she had been sitting in for the last 3 days had found its destination: Antar. It was here that Liz was going to leave behind her heart ache and pain behind on Earth and start a new life for herself...

Part 2

Upon arrival at the castle, in the north section of the planet Antar, Liz was greeted by Princess Isabel, her husband Alexander and their 3 children. Liz looked at them, 'oh they look so cute together. I wish I grew up in a family like that. All I had was.... never mind, I should stop thinking about it.’

"Hewwo Miss Ewizabew. My name is Wdrian and it wice to weet wuo." The youngest child Adrian bowed to Liz. He walked up to her and took her hand. Liz thought it was the sweetest thing imaginable, and held his hand tight. He walked Liz up to his mother and father "Wook how awived mummy. Its miss Wizze. She's gonna teach me about Warth."

"You mean Earth honey. She kneeled down to whisper in her son’s ear. He began giggling and ran to stand with his brother and sister. Isabel gave Liz a firm handshake. "Welcome to Antar. I hope your journey here was acceptable." Liz thought she sounded like a formal school master. Alex interrupted

"Izzy honey relaxed, she's not here to give a report on Antar roads, all though I still prefer my ones back home on Earth." Isabel gave him a nudge in the ribs, whilest Liz was shocked.

"Your from Earth? I didn't know that!"

"Yea, I'm a prince from England. I met Isabel on a confence here on Antar, and it was love at first site! And I never looked back." He looked at Isabel and to Liz he seemed lost in her eyes. Liz felt as if she was intruding.

"I'm just gonna show my self around." Isabel turned to look at her.

"Your room is 3rd on the right on the 3rd floor if you take the elivator."

"Thank you. I can see I'm gonna love it here."

*20 minutes later...

Liz came running down the stars and bumped into Alex

"Woooo, wheres the fire????"

"I hate it here. I can't believe that man!!!!"

"What happened Liz? It can't be that bad! Come on tell me what happened!"

"Well you see it all happened when I bumped into this man with golden brown eyes....

Part 3

* 20 minutes earlier

'Oh my, its beautiful here. I'm gonna love it here!' Liz was thinking to herself. After dropping her stuff briefly in her room, she decided to take a walk along the many hallways in the castle. There were many beautiful pictures of Isabel and Alex as well as pictures of a blond haired pixie and another brown haired man that Liz didn't know. But in all of them they were painted in such a way that they brought love instantly to Liz's heart, and wondered who had painted them. In fact she was so ingrossed in the painted, that she didn't notice a young man looking stright at her. Liz ended up bumping into the young man.

"Oh my I'm so sorry. I didn't see you there, I was so ingrossed in these wonderful painting!" Liz looked up into the man eyes and noted that they were so soulful and deep that Liz in fact felt herself drowing in them.

"I take it your the new cleaner. Well once you've finished looking at the painting you can dust them." Liz look at the man in suprise. No way was she the cleaner!

"I think you've made a mistake I'm not..."

"Of course your the cleaner, I mean look at your clothes, they are definatly raggy old clothes for cleaning!" Liz couldn't believe her ears!

"Excuse me, I don't know who you think you are, but I am the new teacher, not the cleaner! Now if you don't mind!" Liz tried to get past, but the argonent man in front of her wouldn't move out of her way.

"Say it!"

"Say what????"

"Please. It is always poliet to say please when trying to get past another being." She couldn't belive it. The cheek of this man.

"Please"

"See now that wasn't so hard. I'll see you later miss." And with that the man walked of. This went running down the stairs so angry and when Alex asked explained everything.

"Um... Liz ya don't wanna piss that man off!" Alex warned

"Well why not?"

"Because if I think its who you say it is, you've just had your first encounter with King Max...."

"WHAT!!!!!!"

Part 4

For the next few days there was no sign of King Maxwell, which made Liz relifed. She was dreading another encounter with his loardship. They had sat to dinner that evening and he kept making rude comments to Liz all night. Liz heard Isabel shoting at him afterwards! Alex informed her that he was at a conference in the west boarder of Antar, to settle a dispute between the east and west. He would be gone for a week. Alex also happened to mention that Max's girlfriend might pop in whilest Max was away, and although Liz didn't pick up on his tone of voice, she could tell by the words he used, the girl was bad news!

"So whats her name and what is she like? If she's dating king dearest, she must be insane!" Liz asked Alex whilest sitting in the apple orchard. This was Liz's favorite place in the whole of the castle and its ground. The leaves were just starting to fall and to Liz it was beautiful. It reminded her of better times at home, unlike most of the hell she went through as a child...

"Liz hello..." Alex was waving a hand in front of Liz's face. She noticed she had spaced out for a few moments.

"Sorry Alex what did you say. I was just thinking about something."

"Anything I can help with?" Liz just shook her head, "Oh ok then. Well her name is Tess. And she is an evil bitch if I ever did see one! She's been dating Max for about 5 years. Before that he was such a kind and gentle souls. He was a fantatic artist. He was the one who painted the picture upstairs that yo like so much!" Liz look shocked,

"But he seemed so cold to me. Specialy at dinner! I can't believe he said I looked like an earth hoar!" This was one of the many distasteful things Max had said to Liz at that faithful dinner! "Surely someone that mean couldn't paint such wonderful art!"

"Well when Tess came into his life Max changed. She convinced him to stop painting saying that it was childish. Everything that Max loved, Tess began talking him out of it. Than 2 years ago, Max and Isabels parent died in a car crash. Max blamed himself saying that if only he had been on time rather than 10 minutes late, that they would still be alive. And ever since he's been a cold heartless shell of his former self. The only time he looks happy is with the kids. They adore him and he loves them to bits! But to Maria, Michael and us, theres no way he would open up to us!"

"Poor Max! And um... who's Michael and Maria?"

"Michael is Max's second in command and Maria's his wife. There like total opposites and always fight, which is so funny! But they are so in love! Just like me and Izzy. Maria is my best friend in the whole world, well expect for Isabel of course. You'll love her. They currently live in the south but are moving back up here soon."

"I can't wait to meet her! But I don't want to meet Tess!"

part 5

Liz's dream

Running through a field of white roses, freedom all around, no longer trapped, birds flying all around.

'Its coming you know.' Whats coming who is in my dream?

'Death, pain, destruction. You cannot escape it!' I can! I am here. I'm free!

'You ran, you fled, but he will follow, he will come for you. Love cannot save you, and hate cannot protect. Your destiny is in death your future is in pain.' NO!! I left the pain. I'm far away, I ran to far for him to find me!!!

Suddenly Liz's dream transforms into a picnic. Sitting with her is Max...

"Sandwiches are a funny thing. I mean there is no sand in them!"

"Why are you here Max?"

"To save you, to warn you, to protect you!"

'Love will not save you!'

"You cannot save me, love will not save me."

"It will. It will revive you. You are dead to the world. He punished you, he let you die and slow and painful death. I died too Liz! We will love eachother. I will hate you, but I will love you, and together will are destined to be together."

Again Liz dream changes. Now she is 10, scared and alone. Her father enters her room...

"GET HERE NOW BITCH!!!! YOU MADE MY WIFE LEAVE ME AND NOW I WILL LET YOU FEEL THE PAIN THAT I AM FEELING!!!" As soon as the first blow what hit in her dream, Liz woke up...

Part 6

Another turning point, a fork stuck in the road.
Time grabs you by the wrist, directs you where to do.
So make the best of this test, and don't ask why.

Liz was sitting at the piano sing one of her favorite songs from earth. It always made her feel better when she sang it, yet she didn't know why. Maria and Michael arrived yesterday and it was alot of fuss was being made. Being pregnant, Isabel and Alex made sure that Maria was comftable, and this was making Maria stressed, which inturn made everyone else stressed!!!! However so far she and Liz got on like a house on fire. But it was after dinner, and the little ones where in bed. So Liz was all alone, and with nothing to do, she decided to sing and play the piano. She had a good voice, and almost hit the big time, but her nerves got the better of her, and thus decided to be a teacher!!! What she didn't realise was that a certain someone was watching her...

"Max what are you doing?" Isabel startled her brother, who was watching Liz with such intesnity, that Isabel was surprised that there wasn't holes in Liz's head!

"Nothing Iz, what are you talking about?" Mx replied turning a nice shade of red!

"She has a good voice, and she plays well. Unlike Tess who sounds like a drowned rat, and her playing the piano sounds more like giving a baby a violin!" Isable laughed to herself.

"Don't start Izzy. Don't try to turn me off of Tess!"

"I'm not. In fact I wanna know why your so mean to Liz? Be mean to me, be mean to Michael, heck be mean to Maria, but she'll sock ya one! But you don't even know Liz, and you hate her already? I just wanna know why!"

"I.... I don't know Iz. I feel something. The first time I met her, I felt something so unimaginable! She looked so inocent looking at my pictures. But I'm with Tess, and everyone I love gets burned some way or another?"

"I'm ok Max, I'm ok. Besides you love Tess don't you and she's ok..." There was no reply from Max 'He doesn't love Tess! There's hope yet!' "But Max that doesn't mean you should hurt Liz. She is so sweet, and is great with the kid's. They adore her. She's keeping secrets, and she's been hurt. Thats why she's here. Alez hears her crying at night Max. I think she needs someone to love her Max."

"Don't Iz, just don't. I'm inable to love another again!" With that Max stormed off, with Liz unaware of the goings on.

"That's where your wrong Max. Your love will be the greatest ever know!" With that Isabel gave Liz a final look and left to find Alex

It had been a week since Max listened to Liz sign. He knew that as soon as the first note of her sweet voice reached his ears, he loved her, 'But I've been so mean and I'm with Tess. Of course I don't love her, and I told Izzy that I don't love Liz or Tess!!!' Max also knew that Isabel was right about Liz having a secret past. He'd watch her, in secret, talking to Maria, or Alex, heck even the maids, with a distance in her eyes, her smile. Max moved his room to be closer to her, of course her told Liz it was to make sure she wasn't stealing. That resulted in a smack arounf the head from both Maira and Isabel. But for the last week he could hear Liz's screams as she awoke from her nightmares. It always broke his heart. He wanted to confront her, really he did, but there was the little problem of him being a jerk! So what the heck was he gonna do?

"HEY MAX!" Michael called up to his friends. "YOU BETTER GET DOWN HERE QUICK!" Max's blood turned cold. He knew something was up. It was confirmed when he heard Maria ear piercing scream. He tumbled down stairs. He could see a man struggeling against two guards. He ran around them and on the floor where three medic's and a heavily bleeding Liz...

“Liz there is someone down stairs who wants to see you?” Isabel told her friend. Currently Liz was in the middle of teaching the little ones the 7 times table. Ok so maybe not teaching more like getting them to under stand what a times table was!

“Sure Izzy, I’ll be right. Your be ok staying with them right?”

“I think I can handle my little terrors for 10 minutes, after that I don’t know what to do!” Isabel laughed at the look on Liz’s face. “I’m kidding Liz. I’ll be fine with my children. I think I’ll try teaching them the History of Antar.”

“Well if you’re sure. I’ll try not to be too long ok?” With that Liz set on her way down the stairs to the front hall. ‘Not that you can call it a hall! Its so big you could fit 10 on suite bedrooms in there!’ Liz spotted the back of a man’s head. She recognized it but couldn’t place her hand on where she had seen it before. “Hello? Um did you need to see me?” Liz asked. The man began to turn around slowly. Flashbacks began,

A hand raised to strike her down

Blood pouring from a cut above her eye

a gun poised to shot, glinting in the shadows…

“Hello Lizzie.” Before her stood her father Jeffery Parker. Her tormentor, her nightmares always consist of him.

“Jeffery. What are you doing here?”

“What no hug for your daddy dearest. No?” Liz just stared at him as if he was the dirt on the bottom of her shoe. No even lower than that. “Ok I want you to come home with me? I’m in debt and I gambled you. So now you belong to Tony.”

“You bet me? You dirty bastard! How could you do that? No you can’t bet me? You can’t bet me, how did you even find me?”

“I have contacts! Also I had someone interrogate Kyle.”

“You mean you had him beat up? How could you do that? I don’t want you her. You’re not my father, and I don’t care what Tony does to you. You can die for all I care! Just go. You can’t bet me, I’m not even sure that is possible.”

“Ahhhh, but I did bet you, and now Tony wants you dead or alive. He doesn’t care as long as I cough you up, you little tramp! And if you don’t come willingly, than you will be dead!”

“What are you gonna do? Shoot me? Oh wait you already did that, when I would'nt become your slut! So come Jeff, if you gonna shot me just do it now and spear me a life with you in it!”

“I’m not gonna shot you! I’m gonna slice you open like butter!” Before Liz could react Jeff grabbed her and shoved a knife into her stomach. Liz let out a bittersweet scream. Michael came running in to see what had happened. He saw the knife, and had little time to react. He ran up behind the smaller man. Before Jeff knew it Michael had put him onto the floor with one smooth kick. The guard’s came running in and grabbed Jeff before he could run off. Alex, Isabel and Maria came running in to see Liz. The ambulance was called and on its way. Michael called for Max and Maria let out a scream. All while Liz was unconscious. And when Max saw Liz the color drained from his face. But before he could heal her, the medics came, and Liz was rushed to hospital…

“Excuse me doctor is our friend going to be alright?” Isabel asked the doctor. Liz had just come out of surgery, after being in there for six and a half hours. When entering the hospital Max took control and went all kingly. Not once whilst Liz was in surgery did he sit down, or even stop pacing back and forth. It was only Maria’s insistence that he go and get a coffee with Alex that he went. Isabel felt for him.

“Your friend will be fine, the surgery was a success. If her attacker had gotten even one inch to the left, then Liz wouldn’t’ be quite so lucky. She’s gonna have to take it easy for a couple of weeks. Not heavy lifting, and lot of rest and sleep.”

“Can I go see her?” Isabel was the only one around. Michael took Maria back to the palace so they could look after Isabel’s children. Plus Maria needed rest.

“Of course. She’s asleep right now, but you can sit with her. I’ll be back in an hour to check up on her. Also she might be asleep for a day or so, due to the strength of the aesthetics we gave her.”

“Thank you, doctor.” Isabel entered Liz’s room. She was asleep as the doctor said, but to Isabel it wasn’t a peaceful looking sleep. Tubes were sticking out of her, and she looked extremely pale. “Oh Liz I’m so sorry. If I only I knew, I could have helped you. She sat on the chair by Liz’s bed. Max has been worried about you, ya know. He’s been like a live wire since you got here, pacing back and forth, like a yo-yo. I feel sea sick just thinking about it. He’s with Alex, getting me a coffee, but they’ve been like two hours! Men huh? Any way the doctor says your be asleep for a while, so how bout I read you a book. Alex told me you like Romeo and Juliet so how about I read it for you. Ok then.” Isabel pulled the book from her bag. It was a tattered copy, that seemed to have been read a thousand times. “Well its Max’s copy. He ‘lost’ it a few days ago, I was gonna read it myself. So lets read it together. Two households, both alike in dignity, In fair Verona, where we lay our scene, From ancient grudge break to new mutiny, Where civil blood makes civil hands unclean…” and so for the next hour and a half Isabel read to Liz whilst a young man haunted with pain, watched on.

Mean while

“Do you think Liz will be ok Michael? I mean what if she’s really hurt worse than we thought?”

“Honey she’s gonna be ok? Look Isabel, Alex and Max are all there, and they will call when were needed, but right now, I’m taking you home, because you need to rest otherwise how will you be able to talk Liz’s ear off when she gets back huh?”

“Ok your right. But what do you think about Max?”

“What about Max? Is he hurt too?”

“No silly. I mean being so totally in love with Liz. I think they’ll be great together!”

“What are you talking about woman. Max is not in love with Liz. What would give you a notion like that?” Michael look confused.

“Men! Michael are you blind? He shouted at the doctors if they weren’t fast enough, he was fidgeting, he wouldn’t sit down, he kept asking what the time was every minute. That was a man in love!”

“Good, that means he can dump Tess, she’s just plain annoying. Not unlike someone else I know!” He grinned at Maria, but just glared.

“I’m gonna pretend that I didn’t hear that, but yea, if he loves her he’s gotta ditch Tess right?”

“Lets hope Maria lets hope!!!”

Part 8

“Max are you coming in here or not???” It had been nearly 2 days since Liz had been in hospital, and as the doctor predicted Liz had not woken up yet. And Max hadn’t had the guts to go in and see her.

“I can’t Izzy.”

“Why not? Max it’s really easy to come in here and sit with Liz. Some one really should just in case she wakes up soon, and I have to pee.”

“King Zan, telephone call for you.” A nurse interrupted them. In public Max and Isabel took on their names of the crow, but in private they used their normal names.

“Ok thank you.” He walked over to the telephone at the front desk. He picked up the phone. “Hello?”

“Look Max get your big butt into the room, or I’ll come down there and kick in there for you.”

“Maria don’t…”

“DON’T YOU MARIA ME!!! Look you love the girl…” She paused and let it sink in for Max to register. She expected and argument of some sort, but none of that was given,

“I know Ria, but what can I do? I could have healed her, I should have healed her, but I was a coward! Ever since, well you know, I’ve been to afraid to use my power’s, they were useless for my parents. And for that matter I’ve been scared to let anyone into my heart. But its different with Liz. She’s like a breeze, no make that a hurricane of fresh air in my life. She’s smart, funny, beautiful… the list could go on! But I’ve been nothing but a first class jerk to her since she’s got her. Maybe if I had taken the time to be nice to her, she would have opened up to me sooner, and I could have prevented what happened.”

“You couldn’t prevent it Max. Like you Liz has been hurt, but in a different way. You were hurt because you lost people you loved very much. She’s been hurt because the person, who wasn’t meant to love her, well destroyed who she was. Her pain, if I may say, seems to be greater than yours. You can heal, you’ve chosen not too. You had a happy childhood, and you’ve know what love is. Liz has had none of that, we just didn’t know! Blaming yourself for what happened isn’t going to change what happened.”

“Max will you hurry up I really have to pee!”

“Maria thanks, but I gotta go! Izzy doesn’t want Liz left along, but she has to pee, and Alex has gone AWOL on us!”

“Yea I know he’s with me! Sorry I needed something, and Michael is now refusing to go for me! Bye Max!”

“Bye Ria.” Max hung up the phone and made his way back over to Liz room. ‘I can do it. Just take deep breathes Max and go and see Liz. You love her god dammit!’ He entered, and Isabel stood up.

“She’s all yours Max, and I’ll be back in 10. I need to grab a drink and stretch my legs after I pee!” She walked over to the door and paused. Slowly she turned around and looked her brother over. “And I’m proud of you Max, I think you finally understand who you’re meant to be.”

“What’s that Isabel?”

“A King in love, who is true to his heart, rather than a King holding back from who he is. I heard you talking with Maria. But you really should tell Liz all of this to make a difference.”

“I know, I truly know!” They smiled at each other, and Isabel left the room. Max looked Liz over. To him she looked like an Angel. “If only you would awaken I could make it right between us.” And no sooner as he said those words did she begin to stir. “Nurse, nurse, some one quick!” Max called out. He sat back down with Liz.

“Hey sleepy head, I’m right here!”

“Hmmm… Max?”

“Shhhh… its ok. I’m here…” ‘Forever if your have me…’ he thought to himself.

Part 9

It had been two weeks since Liz had woken, and in those two weeks Max was gentler than he had ever been in his whole enter life. Everyone noticed the change, and reflected in it, in their own way. Maria and Isabel were glad that Max finally got over being so stubborn, Alex, who was finally allowed to be happy around Max and not get his head bit off, had the unfortunate problem of becoming more hyper! Michael, although not showing it, was glad that Max might finally be as happy as himself. And Liz finally realized that she was falling quite hard for her fair King. Max had been looking after her for the past fortnight, and even though at times she felt a little… ok a lot suffocated, she couldn’t be happier. But of course, as everyone knows, that is about to change…

“Liz!” Maria called out. All afternoon she had be searching for Liz. If she looked for much more, Max would catch wind of it, that then she would be in some serious shit. “Liz were on earth are you… or should I say where on Antar are you???”

“What’s yup Maria?” Maria gave out a little scream. She turned around.

“Alex you gave me a heart attack. Have you seen Liz? She said that she was going to bed at lunch because she was tired. So I went up to see her 3 hours ago, and she’s not there, and I can’t find her!”

“She told me she was meeting you in town, to do some shopping. I thought you just got back and I was gonna ask you were Liz was!”

“This is bad, very bad. We’d better tell Max, but you know he’s gonna kill us!”

“Why would I kill you?” This time both Alex and Maria screamed. “Alex you have a very womanly scream. Bow why would I kill you?”

“Oh that. See well a funny thing happened, um well… Alex you tell him.”

“Why me Maria?”

“Your bigger than me, and I can hide behind you, plus in my condition…”

“And what condition would that be?”

“I’m pregnant, duh!”

“Oh….” Both men took a minute for that to regisiter.

“YOUR WHAT??”

“Didn’t Michael tell you? I’m gonna kill him!”

“Congratulations Maria.” Alex stood there for a second. “Oh look at the time Maria. I told Michael that I’d, um…. Take you to him. Come lets go.”

“Alex what are you….”She thought about it. “Riiiiiiight. Come lets go.” The both began to walk away from Max.

“Hey wait a minute. Why am I gonna kill you?”

“You see…” He saw a small brunet walk up behind Max. “Oh look there’s Liz, you took you time in the toilet.

“I wasn’t in the toilet.”

“Of course she was.” Maria walked up to her and whispered in her ear, “Be quite, Max doesn’t know you left, keep it that way.” Liz look Maria in the eye.

“I can’t.” She turned and looked at Max. “I went to see my dad in prison.”

“YOU WHAT???” All three voices shouted out.

“Liz how could you? You went against my wishes. I told you never to see him again.”

“I had to Max, you don’t understand.”

“Oh I understand alright. You do not respect me who the rules of the house. If you go against me again, I will have no other choice that to let you go as the childrens teacher. I will not have you teaching them to go against the rules of the house.”

“Fine!” She turned around and stormed off. Before she got to far, she turned around to face Max. “I quit!!!!” She ran off to her room.

“Max, why on Antar did you do that?”

“I don’t know… I only feel that mean when...”

“Maxie poo, there you are. I’ve been looking ALL over for you. It took me 5 minutes to track you down in this good dam awful place.”

“Tess what are you doing here?”

“I came to see you silly! Why else would I come here?” She replied looking round distastefully. “So where’s my hello kiss.” She pulled Max down for a kiss, and although Max tried to pull away. Behind him he heard a sharp in take of breath. He broke away quickly and looked around. Alex and Maria left, but standing there was Liz.

“I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to interrupt.” She spun on her heal to walk away.

“It’s not what you think?”

“Sure it is. Tess is you girlfriend. Besides its none of my concern anymore. I quit remember.”

“Yea and don’t come back!” ‘Why am I saying that? Oh god she’s crying? No wait…’ “BYE! LIZZIE” ‘No come back come back!!! Why do I feel like someone is controlling my mind???”

“Can I have another kiss now Maxie poo?”

“Sure thing!” ‘No Liz, I love you…”

Liz was in her room, hastily throwing her clothes into bags. She had to run from this place. After realising that she was in love with Max, she had to see her father, let him know that no matter what he did to her, she found love. But only 10 minutes ago, Max took that love and trampled all over it. The reason: Tess Harding. Today was the first day Liz had seen her in the flesh. Sure, she had seen pictures, but usually her awful hair covered her face. Unfortunately today Max covered it. Biting her lip, she had to hold back the tears. ‘He doesn’t care, no one cares. I need to see Kyle, he always makes it better.’ Kyle was Liz’s twin brother, but she never told anyone that she had any family. But if it weren’t for Kyle she would be dead right now. He was the one who found her after Jeff shot her for the first time, and if he weren’t there, then Jeff would have surely gone a lot father than just beating her. Liz turned towards her door when she heard a knocking.

“Can I come in?” She looked seeing that it was Michael. The two of them never spoke that much, but they had a silent understanding.

“Sure, you can help me pack.” Liz turned away from him again, and continued packing.

“So it is true then, your leaving. Everyone is gonna miss you, so why don’t you stay.”

“I can’t Michael, I don’t think his majesty would like that very much!” She replied whilst opening up her draws.

“Screw Max, he isn’t the one you work for. You work for Isabel and Alex, and I was hoping that maybe one day for me and Maria, when the baby gets big.”

“Wow that almost sounded like you care.” She bit back, but regretted instantly. “I’m sorry Michael, I’m not even mad at you.” Before she could do anymore she burst into tears. “I love him Michael. But he loves someone else, so now I have to go. Tell the children that I love them very much, but I can’t stay here. It’s too much for me now.” Michael walked over to her and gave her a hug.

“If you ever want to come back, then where’ll gladly have you any time.”

“You know I think my brother would like you very much, ya know for looking out for me.”

“You have a brother? Since when?” Michael looked shocked, and it was hard to shock him, but she had succeeded.

“Since 4 minutes after I was born. Were twins!” She gave a small smile. “He hates that I take the big sister role. Almost like Lesley and Piper. They fight like cat and dog, but deep down they have a strong connection.”

“That’s like Max and Isabel too. There twins also. I guess twins run in the family for them!”

“I guess…” Liz’s thought’s drifted off into space.

“Are you ok Liz?”

“Yea, I was just trying to remember my mother, but I don’t really remember that much anymore.” Michael raised an eyebrow.

“I lost my dad when I was 2. He was Max’s father’s second in command, but he died in battle. I miss him so much, but he died doing what he loved.” Michael gave a small smile. “What about you? What happened to your mom?” Liz sat on the edge of her bed.

“It happened on my tenth birthday, it was real hot, and my mom insisted that she go get mine and Kyle present. My grandma and grandpa’s had it their house, coz me and Kyle were known for searching the house for our gifts and playing with them before our birthdays. But see they live in one of these old farm houses, that they never really had modified ever. I remember her being gone for hours, and then after about 5 hours past, my dad got a phone call,

*FLASH*
”Hello… yes this is Mr Parker… are, are you sure… yes of course… goodbye.” Jeff Parker sat down not caring that it was the floor.

“Daddy, what is it? Why are you crying.” A 10 year old Liz asked her father, with A little Kyle right after her.

“It’s your mother and Grandparents… I’m afraid they past on. The house caught on fire…”
*END FLASH*

“And well after that he blamed me. He figured that if I hadn’t been so sneaky before then she wouldn’t have had to go to my grandparents house. Not once did he blame Kyle, but Kyle always stood up for me. My dad never cared that I lost a mother, grandparents, and technically a father within 30 seconds. It’s also why I never celebrate my birthday anymore. It was 2 days ago, but don’t tell Maria that part.” Suddenly there was another knock at the door.

“Miss your taxi for the space station is here.”

“Thank you, I’ll be right down.” She picked up her bags. “I want to go quietly Michael, please respect that. Tell them the truth about my family if you wish, I don’t really care. But if I see everyone, then I’ll want to stay, and I can’t OK?” Michael just nodded. She ran down stairs and out to the taxi. The driver helped her with her bags and Liz turned around and looked at the palace, her one true home since she was 10 years old. “Goodbye, and maybe one day I’ll return soon.” She entered the taxi and it drove off.

An hour later

Currently Michael was in the dinning room, and had called Maria, Alex, Isabel, Max and the children into the dinning hall. Max was the last to enter. Tess had just been arrested for trying to control Max’s mind, but luckily for him Isabel’s power had grown to such and extent that she could tell when other’s were using their powers, and Tess was caught out. ‘She will be in jail for a loooong time! And now I can tell Liz that I love her with all my heart!’ He looked at Michael and saw that he looked rather solemn. He looked around and couldn’t see Liz anywhere.

“Michael where’s Liz?” Michael looked out the window for a moment, then turned back to Max.

“She’s gone back to Earth.” And with that Max thought he had the wind knocked out of him…

Part 11

‘Gone…’ the word kept repeating itself over and over in his mind. No it couldn’t be true, because if that was true, then what was Max supposed to do. He would be alone.

“I have to go after her!” Max began to run out of the room.

“Hold it right there mister.” Maria stopped him. “You can’t go by yourself, besides the King can’t just take off without telling his people now can he?”

“I don’t really care right now Maria. She needs to know that I love her. A wise person once told me that I was becoming a King in love, who is true to his heart, rather than a King holding back from who he is. If I don’t go now, then I’m gonna lose the one thing in the whole damn universe that means something too me. I hurt her really badly myself, in more then one way, and I need to make it right again.”

“Before you go, there’s something that you should all know.” Michael interrupted the two. Everyone listened, and Michael told them what Liz had told him an hour ago, the reason that her father hated her so…

A few hours later…

“Thank you for travelling with Antarian air, please join us again soon!” The air hostess’ voice rang out through the shuttle craft Liz was on. Even though they went at light speed, the length of the travel meant that Liz’s legs were aching to be stretched. Luckily enough her luggage was light enough for carry on, she had left a lot behind, and didn’t have to wait for her bags. Kyle was meant to meeting her inside the shuttle bay. When she got there it took all of 5 minutes to spot her brother and his wife What she didn’t expect however was a baby tucked under his arm.

“Hey little bro, and Serena.” Liz gave both of them hugs. “Who’s this?”

“Meet little Bella, my daughter.” Liz was extremely shocked.

“You mean you’re a daddy? Guys congratulations. Why didn’t you tell me huh huh? I am your sister after all! I’ve only been gone 6 months after all!”

“Yea well I thought you’d be mad at me for dad finding out where you were.” Kyle said ashamed and looking towards the floor. “He did find you didn’t he?”

“We should talk.” The 3 of them plus Bella, went to sit in a café, where Liz explained everything that had been happening, including everything to do with Max and Tess. “So basically dad isn’t going anywhere, and I am totally in love with a man who hates me. I am so screwed over! To top it off I had to fall in love with a King didn’t I? How stupid can I get?” Liz banged her head on the table.

“When you say Tess do you mean Tess Harding?” Serena asked Liz.

“Yea why do you ask?”

“I went to school with her on Earth. He father was the ambassador for Antar, so Tess got stuck here. Man she was like the village cycle, a real tramp. But she had this power to control minds. The only was she was allowed to come to school was if she wore this bracelet that blocked her powers. So basically she was like a prisoner. As soon as she could she got of off Earth and back home.”

“Wow. Alex said that she was evil, but I didn’t know that she had powers or anything!”

“Interesting.” Kyle said out loud. “Any way we better get home, Bella here needs her nap. Your staying with us, until you get your own place right?”

“Yea I am. I need a job too, but I’ll start looking tomorrow. Right now I need sleep!” They all walked out the shuttle bay and into the car park. Liz looked up into the sky.

“Looks like it might rain later. I haven’t seen it rain for a long time.” She commented, whilst they got into the car.

A few more hours later…

Correct to what Liz said it began to rain. Liz was currently sitting by the window watching the rain. Right now her heart was broken, and she needed it to heal, but she had no idea what to do. Kyle and Serena had long gone to bed, but she couldn’t sleep. She felt that she needed to stay awake. In the background the radio was on, but she was listening.

“And on international news it has been confirmed that Miss Harding has been arrested and will not be released anytime soon. King Zan is also currently on a conference trip to Earth…” Liz turned the radio off, not bothering to listen to that piece of news. Liz heard thunder crack outside, and the rain began to fall heavier than before. Her cat Fudge made her way up to Liz. When Liz went to Antar, she couldn’t bring Fudge with her.

“Hey girl. I missed you. She leaned down and began to stroke her soft fur. Fudge began to purr. Suddenly there was a knock on the door. “Hey I wonder who is stupid enough to be out in rain like this huh? Maybe its old uncle Pauly, who’s wife kicked him out. Pauly was Kyle’s best friend, who Liz used to have a thing for, but then she grew up, and he got married. “Hey Paul, bet your wet!” Liz called out in a sing song voice as she opened the door. However it was Paul on the other side, instead it was an extremely wet looking Max...
Part 12a

“What… what are you doing here Max?” Liz questioned him. He stood there and didn’t answer her.
“Max come on, you can’t just stand there. Come in the house, before you catch a cold.” She dragged him by the hand, and pulled him inside the house. She closed the door behind them. She looked to him, and noticed that he was making little puddles behind him.
“Do you want me to get you some dry clothes or something?” Max just nodded his head in reply. Liz disappeared into another room, and appeared a minute later with some sweatpants, a t-shirt and a towel.
“I’m afraid its not much, just a few of my brothers things. I’ll just uh turn around, so you can get changed.” She handed Max the clothes and gave him a small smile. Max was going to say something too her, but before he got the chance, they both heard a cry.
“I’ll be right back.” Liz hurried off, leaving Max staring after her. Liz heard him mutter something under his breath, but she couldn’t think about it right now. She entered Bella’s room, and walked over to her cot.
“Hey little one, what’s wrong? Do you want me to sing to you?” She leaned over and picked her up.

“Twinkle, twinkle, little star
How I wonder what you are!
Up above the world so high,

Bella was asleep before Liz finished, so she placed her back in the crib.

“That was beautiful.” Liz heard someone say. She turned around and saw Max standing there. Kyle’s clothes were a little small for Max, and so they clung to him. His hair, still damp, was everywhere. He looked like he had just woken up.

“So you can talk then? I wasn’t sure.” Liz joked, and gave Max a smile. The 2 of them walked back into the living room. “So Max, really what are you doing here? And where’s Tess?”

“You mean you haven’t heard?” Max looked confused. “I thought it was all over the news here. Maybe I was wrong.” Max scratched the back of his head, his expression in deep concentration.

“What on Earth are you talking about? I haven’t watched the news since being home. Has something happened? Are the kids alright? Should I get in contact with them.” Liz got up, and started to panic.

“Nothing is wrong. Look sit down, and I’ll explain everything.” She sat down next to him, but he noticed that she kept her distance, or rather as much distance as she could on the small sofa. “Tess is in jail.”

“WHAT?!?!?” She screamed out. She suddenly remember that everyone else was asleep. “Sorry, its just… why is she in jail?” Max explained everything that had happened. “Max I’m sorry, I know you must have loved her very much.”

“I’ve never loved Tess. And the last time that I talked to you, or rather shouted at you and ordered you about, that wasn’t me. I am so sorry for what I said Liz. I would never hurt you.”

“Its ok Max. I understand.”

“No wait I haven’t finished. And don’t interrupt me until I do OK?” She nodded, signalling him to continue. “The only reason that I was ever with Tess, was so I could keep people at a distance. Everyone I ever let in gets hurt, and Tess was my barrier for that. I was using her on that account, but she was using me to get famous, and in the end control Antar. But then you came. The first time I saw you I was gone. You just stood there, looking at my paints, looking so beautiful. My painting seemed to bring out hope in your eyes, and I knew that my paintings put hope there. When you turned to look at me, I saw something else enter your eyes, almost like love. I wanted that love so badly, but I knew if I took it, I would hurt you. So I pushed you away. And every time I was how much it hurt you, but I still sis it, to protect my own heart. But when you nearly died, I realised how much you meant to me. I was going to tell you today, but with all the shit that happened I never got a chance. Then Michael told me that you left. I thought I had been kicked repeatedly in the stomach with no mercy. Because when you left, I though that I would never get to tell you.” He paused, seemingly unable to continue. Tears were pouring down both their faces.

“Tell me what Max?” Liz asked him, whilst stroking his face.

“I love you Liz Parker. I always have and I fear that I always will. I understand if you don’t feel the same…” He never got to finish his sentence, because Liz pulled him in for a kissed. Liz couldn’t stop herself from moaning, and allowed Max’s tongue to enter her mouth. She practically climbed on top of Max, without their lips breaking contact. After nearly 5 minutes, they broke apart. Liz could see that Max’s lips were all swollen from them kissing. She whispered in his ear.

“I love you too Max. I love you so much.” She kissed him on the cheek, and then rested her head on his chest. “I think its time to sleep now though, its getting late.” She looked up and saw that Max was already asleep. She closed her eyes and followed suit. And it was in this position that Kyle and Bella found them the next morning.

“It looks like Auntie Lizzie has found love Bella. Well its about time.”

Epilogue

So here we are at the end of our story. Hurt and pain, which grew like the wild flowers during summer, began to wilt as love bloomed like the sweetest rose. The hurt would always be there, under the surface, but no longer was it hidden away, no it was thrown into the light, and was understood. No more hiding, no more running from what was meant to be.

Max and Liz fell more in love each day that they were together. Max was not on Earth for very long, but he brought Liz home with him. Tess was stuck in prison for a long time, and everything and everyone on Antar was extremely happy. Maria gave birth to two beautiful baby boys, and told everyone that this family was doomed to have twins. And not long after Maria had her children, Max and Liz were married. Liz was now the crowned Queen Eliza of Antar with her crowned King Zan of Antar. For Max and Liz could not be any happier, or so it seemed. Lately however everyone around the palace noticed that Liz seemed withdrawn, and it was driving Max crazy…

“Liz, honey are you here?” Max was wondering the halls aimless looking for his love. That morning they had an argument, something to do with sock, Max wasn’t quite sure, but Liz stormed off refusing to talk with anyone. “Hey Maria have you seen Liz, I can’t find her anywhere, you gotta help me!”

“No Max, I haven’t.” she replied, but he could see a glint in Maria’s eye that told Max that she knew exactly were Liz was.

“Come on Maria, my wife is mad at me, and if I can’t find her so help me I’m gonna explode.”

“Well I wouldn’t want to do that now. Or you wont find her.” Maria told him, but then ran off, before Max could question her anymore. He continued walking and noticed that Kyle, Serena, and Bella were here. Bella, who could now walk, was pulling open cupboards and having the time of her life.

“Hi Max, sorry about Bella, but everything here is just so shiny!” Serena explained, whilst picking her little one off the floor.

“That’s Ok… but what are you guys doing here?” Max had no idea that Liz was inviting her family for a visit, they had been here a few times before, but Liz always told him first. But then lately Liz had been hiding things from him.

“You mean you don’t know, man are you in for a…” Kyle started talking, but Serena placed a hand over his mouth.

“Kyle what are you talking about? Ignore my husband, he’s crazy sometimes!” Serena gave a large fake smile, and dragged her husband and Bella away. ‘Ok now why is everyone acting so strange? This is not good for my health I swear, and where on Antar is Liz?’ Max thought to himself. He needed to fix things between himself and his wife, but if she insisted on hiding what was a King to do?

An hour later

Max was still having no luck, but it was time for dinner, and surely Liz would be there. And sure enough there she was, with a big grin on her face. When she saw him, her grinned got even larger if that was possible. Max went to sit with her, but they said nothing, Max knowing that everything was ok. Everyone sat down to eat. When everyone was full and finished, Liz stood up.

“Everyone I have a announcement to make.” She looked to everyone, and Max could tell that Maria, Kyle and Serena already knew, but everyone else was just as clueless as him. “Me and Max well…” she paused and grabbed Max’s hand. Everyone at the table could tell Max was clueless but he went along with what ever his wife was saying. Max took a sip of his drink, and Liz continued,
“We’re having a baby!” She exclaimed, and Max’s drink was spat everywhere and his eyes where bulging out of his head.

“We’re… we’re… what?” Max was stuttering, he couldn’t get his head around what Liz said. Liz’s smile faulted, and she sat down. Everyone just stared at Max, who stood up and look to his wife. He made her stand up, and pulled her away from the table.

“Are you mad?” She asked in a small voice. He said nothing, but instead picked her up and began swinging her around.

“I’M GONNA BE A DADDY! WHOO HOO!!!” He cried out to everyone. He placed her down. “Why didn’t you tell me before?”

“I wasn’t sure till this morning.” Her smile came back into full blast, and it took Max’s breath away…

So you see although this is the end one story, this is the begging of another. They were happy, and had many wonderful and loving years together. No matter what life threw at them they over came it together. The hardships that they faced before seemed insignificant, but they remembered these times to show that what they had was that little bit more special then anything that they had shared before. But the point is love did rule again and a destiny that they believed to be full of pain and despair, was in fact nothing compared to what fate had for them. But mostly they lived again, after hiding from the world, and they lived for eachother.
