Authors Note : I know I have other fics I need to finish but suddenly inspiration hit me! And I had to write this! hopefully it works out and I can keep this fic going! tootles! enjoy!
Prologue

“max if you don’t stop this Liz is going to ruin her life forever” maria said trying to knock some sense into him. He was being a s stubborn jackass. Why do mean have to be this way? Maria thought as she tried to plead with max.

“Not my problem” Max said as he fiddled with the coffee maker on the counter.

“ Not your problem? Dam it max My best friend is going to marry a man she doesn’t love! Get your ass out there and get the women of your dreams!” maria yelled as she pointed to the door.

“Maria get out” he said. Then out of no where maria Socker punched him right in the mouth.

“What the hell!” Max said holding his mouth.

“your fucking stubborn jackass! If you don’t stop this wedding I will!” Maria said as she hurried out of the apartment. Max Never seen Maria like this before. And he never had maria hit him in the mouth like that before. It didn’t matter, Liz was going to do what she wanted. She made it very pointedly clear she wanted nothing more to do with him, and that she was going to marry sean deluca no matter what.

“More power to her” max said as he put ice on his busted lip.


“Did you talk to max” Michael said.

“Yea and Im hoping the punch in the mouth I gave him knocked some sense into him” She said.

“What? You punched him?” Michael said.

“Sure as hell did! He told me to get out and that this whole thing with Liz was not his problem. Those two are meant to be together” Maria said.

“Ria did it ever occur to you to stay out of peoples business. Maybe Liz is happy now. After all She did catch max in bed with tess.” he said. Maria couldn’t believe Michael of all people was taking max’s side. She punched him in the shoulder.

“ouch!” he yelled.

“That’s for taking his side jackass!” Maria said as she quickly got up.

Later that day -

Max was flipping through the channels on his tv when he heard a knock on the front door. He opened it and was surprised to see Liz on the other side.

“Wow here to gloat?” he asked.

“No I really want you to come to the wedding max” She said as she handed him an invitation. Max took it and laughed and then tore it up into tiny pieces.

“ I thought you made it clear you wanted nothing to do with me?” he asked. Liz looked down she if she could tell max everything she would. But she couldn’t. She wanted to scream out to max and tell him she didn’t want this wedding, she didn’t mean those things she said that night. She was upset that she had caught him in bed with Tess. But she that was all a devised plan by tess to break them up. So she took it upon herself to be with sean. Her parents loved sean and The next thing she knew they were engaged and planning a wedding. Her parents were so happy she didn’t want ruin it by telling them this wasn’t what she wanted. Everything happened so quickly she didn’t have time to react.


“yea I did but…you’re my friend I…need you there” She said. Max looked at her curiously.

“ you don’t want to marry him do you? Did your parents force this on you?” max asked. Liz wanted to say yes to both of those questions but she couldn’t. She looked down and tried to find the right words to say.

“No…I..love Sean and this is what I want” Liz said.

“ Yea Right” He said as he pulled Liz into his arms and kissed her passionately. He wanted her more then anything. The kiss was hot and passionate, she had kissed max before but never like this. Suddenly she pulled away and pushed him.

“you cant do this! Im getting married tomorrow” Liz said.

“ You don’t look at him the way you look at me. You don’t kiss him the way you kiss me! Why are you doing this Liz?” He asked cupping her face in his hands. She pulled away once again.

“I have to go I….will see you at the wedding” She said as she quickly left. What was she doing? She leaned against the door and tears were running down her face. There was nothing she could do now. The wedding was tomorrow and there was no stopping her decision now.


The wedding day -

“ Lizzie you are making the biggest mistake of your life” Maria said to her in the dressing room.

“ Maria This is my decision and its been made” Liz said putting her makeup on.

“ Why are you and max the two most stubborn people in the world! Your not doing this because you love Sean your doing this to make your parents happy and him happy. What’s he holding over your head liz? Whats he holding over your head so you will marry him?” Maria asked. She knew her cousin well. And she knew the games he played to get what he wanted.

“Ria he isn’t holding anything over my head. Im doing this because I want to” Liz said.

“Right well….Im not staying and watching my best friend make the worse decision of her life. Listen to your heart when it tells you what you really want let me know.” She said as she walked out of the dressing room. Liz looked up at herself in the mirror. Tears were starting to form in her eyes.

“ Be strong you can do this” She said as she looked over at her wedding dress hanging on the hook. She smiled and realized what she had to do.

Chapter one

Note: there is some serious parts in here of abuse and stuff so be warned. I know some people dont like reading that or be a little upset so I wanted to warn before hand

2 Months earlier before the wedding -

Everything was crazy, Liz’s mother was flipping through bridal magazines shoving wedding invitations in her face. Liz was about to go insane. Liz needed some air she felt like she was going insane. She stepped outside and took a deep breath. What was she doing? She looked down at the ring on her finger. Tears started forming in her eyes. She was having second thoughts. Yes she felt something for Sean but she didn’t love him. She was only doing this to make her parents happy. They thought sean was the perfect guy for her just so long as it wasn’t max. Liz was beginning to think her parents were in on the whole thing with tess. She had this sneaky suspicion that her parents paid her to set up max so they would break up. But that didn’t matter now. Sean had already threatened her marry him or else. Liz wasn’t sure what the else but when he grabbed her arm and left bruises on her he meant business. He also told her to stay away from max or there would be a price to pay. She was seans possession now. Liz didn’t know how to get out of this. She didn’t know what to do. She wiped the tears from her eyes when she seen maria coming up the driveway she didn’t her best friend seeing her like this.

“ So you set a date yet?” maria asked setting next to liz.

“I really don’t want to talk about it. All day that’s all Ive heard Im tired” Liz said.

“ I saw that Bitch tess today I gave her a piece of my mind” maria said.

“Maria I wish you would just butt out of things. Im marrying sean and I don’t want anything to do with him! I made that perfectly clear to him the other night” Liz said.

“ I hate sean and I hate that your marrying that bastard Liz.why are you doing this?” maria asked.

“Ria! Stop!” Liz yelled as she went into the house. Maria started to leave when she noticed sean coming up the driveway.

“Well.. Well If it isn’t my adorable cousin marrying my best friend” maria said with a smug smile.

“Maria how are you?” Sean asked with a smile.

“Cut the bull you and I both know this whole Marriage thing is a sham. What are you getting out of it? Money? I bet its money” maria said. Sean laughed, Maria wanted to pop him right in the mouth.

“No I truly do Love Liz” Sean said. Maria laughed. Sean didn’t love anybody, he is a user all the way.

“yea right you don’t love anybody, didn’t…you just get out of jail for domestic violence or something with your last girlfriend? I Sware if you hurt liz I will kill you myself. I will stop this wedding. She doesn’t love you Sean. I know who her heart belongs too” Maria said.

“yea right, let me guess good old max Evans? Well…didn’t he sleep with that whore tess Harding?” Sean said.

“you know and I Know That was a set up and I think you were involved in. You and Tess just couldn’t stand seeing max and Liz together” Maria replied.

“You know maria my dear cousin why don’t you go find yourself something to do and stay out of my and Liz’s business” Sean said as he walked up to the house. Maria was determined to stop this wedding.



Several weeks later-

“ I know you don’t want to do this so just leave” Liz said as they went through all the wedding dresses and Brides maids dresses.

“ No im going to be here for my best friend on her big day” Maria said with a smile.

“ yea my big day” Liz said.

“If you don’t want to do this just stop it. Tell your parents to shove it and tell Sean to beat it and go be wit max” Maria said. Maria wasn’t going to give up she was bound and determind to stop this.

“Ria” Liz said.

“have you evern talked to max lately?” Maria asked.

“Nope and don’t care to” Liz said as she held the dress in front of her. Her mother came into the room and practically pushed maria out of the way.

“rude much?” Maria asked.

“Excuse me?” Nancy parker asked.

“Liz when your ready to dump Sean to the curve and stop this nonsense call me” maria said as she threw the dress down and snared at Nancy parker as she walked out of the room.

“I never did like that girl” Nancy parker said.

“you never liked any of my friends” Liz said wishing she could get out of this whole mess but she was in to deep now.

“This one is perfect” Nancy Parker said.

“I don’t like it” Liz said throwing it across the room.

“What is wrong with you?” she asked.

“Nothing I…just need a break from all this wedding stuff” Liz said.

“Ok Sweetie just leave everything up to me” She said. Liz went back to her apartment and noticed Seans car parked in front of the building. She went inside and found sean lounging on the couch.

“hey babe” he said. Liz didn’t say anything to she went straight to the bedroom. She sprawled out on the bed. She heard the door open but didn’t move and pay attention to Sean coming in.

“ How did the dress shopping go” he asked.

“ I don’t want to talk wedding stuff right now can you leave me alone right now” Liz asked.

“Get dressed and changed My favorite cousin called and said they are planning a dinner for us at the crashdown” Sean said.

“What? No! Im not going to dinner with you or anyone else right now!” Liz yelled.

“ I don’t care! And I wonder why bratty stupid cousin is doing this? She up to no good” Sean said. Sean threw some clothes at her.

“Where these you always did look nice in those” He said.

“ I will pick out my own outfit” Liz said as she got up and went to the closet. While she had her back turned Sean grabbed her from behind.

“you know were getting married and we havent had sex yet” he said kissing her neck. Liz pushed him off her. She wasn’t about to have sex with him.

“Now is not the time” liz said.

“ Its never the time I want it” he said pushing on the bed.

“no” Liz said trying to get up.

“ Be a good little soon to be Wife and do your duty” He said as he grabbed her and started kissing her.

“no!” Liz said pushing him. He held her down on the bed. Liz had to give in. He was too strong for her.

“Please don’t do this” Liz said crying.

“Lay still Baby and I will make you feel good” He said, he let her lose and made his way down to her pants

“No!” Liz screamed. He pulled her Pants off and stripped her down below. He spread her legs out ready to take her. He unbuckled his pants and Started to have his way with her. Liz screamed and cried out “No!” He held down with his body and every time she screamed he pushed harder. Finally after about an hour he crawled off her.

“get dressed were late. That was awesome baby” he said as he went into the bathroom. Liz slowly put her clothes on she was sore from head to toe She looked down and noticed the bruises on her wrists that were forming.

“be strong” she said as she took a deep breath. She looked over and seen her cell phone sitting on the nightstand. She picked it up, she noticed there was a missed call. The number that showed up was Max’s. She held the phone to her chest and cried.

Max held the phone trying to keep himself from dialing the number again. He dialed the number once and she didn’t answer it went to voice mail. He wanted to leave a voicemail but couldn’t. He looked up at the clock and realized he was late for this stupid dinner maria was putting on at the crashdown.

Liz walked into the crashdown with sean at her side. Maria looked up and knew something was wrong. She could see it in Liz’s eyes. She was pleading for help. Maria had set this whole dinner up. She managed to talk the owner into letting her reserve the crashdown after closing as long as she cleaned up her mess and locked up afterwards.

“hey guys” Maria said as she took Liz and hugged her in her arms. Liz sat down in seat. Maria snared at Sean. Sean took her by the arm and stopped her. Michael watched cautiously.

“you better let go of me or Michael will hurt you” Maria said.

“What are you trying to pull here?” he asked.

“Nothing its just a little Dinner for my best friends engagement. And I know the wedding is in a few weeks right?” maria said as she pulled away. The crashdown doors rang and Liz looked up and seen max walk in. ‘oh no’ Liz thought.

“whats he doing here?” Sean asked.

“Sean chill he is a friend were all friends and this is a dinner for friends. Besides I thought it would be nice for Liz to see and OLD FRIEND” Maria said with a wink.

“maria can I talk to you in the kitchen” Liz said as she took maria by the arm.

“What did I do?” maria said.

“Everything!” Liz said as she started freaking out.

“Are you ok?” Maria took her wrists and notice the bruises.

“Im fine” Liz said.

“What the hell Liz! What did he do to you!” Maria said.

“Ria stay out it. I cant believe you invited him here When I told you I wanted nothing to do with him!” liz yelled.

“They have been back there along time” max said worried.

“ I will go check on them” sean said. Max Got up and stopped him.

“Let me” Max said.

“ I don’t want you near Liz” Sean said.

“What the hell is your problem man?” Max asked.

“ My problem is you” Sean said as he got up in Max’s face. Max back down and pushed his chair in and turned to Michael.

“ I don’t need this tell Maria Im sorry” Max walked out.

“Dude whats your deal?” Michael asked.

“Nothing tell Liz I will come back and pick her up” Sean said as he walked out.


“ Im trying to fix things between you and him” maria said.

“I don’t want to fix things!” Liz was shaking she was so upset after what just happened and then seeing max tears were pouring out of her eyes.

“Ria your little dinner I think is a bust sean walked out and so did max” Michael said as he stepped in.

“great” Liz said.

“Liz I think we need to have a long talk” maria said.

“There is nothing to talk about Maria! Cant you and max just leave things alone!” Liz yelled.

“if he hurt you in anyway I will kill him! I don’t care if he is family no one is going to hurt my best friend!” Maria yelled at Liz.

“Michael take me home” Liz asked.

“Sure” Michael said. Michael Drove liz to her apartment and of course Sean wasn’t there. Michael parked the car in front of the building. Liz was quiet the whole ride. She looked tired and really upset. He seen the bruises on her wrists but didn’t say anything.

“if there is something wrong you would tell one of us right?” Michael asked.

“ Im just stressed from all the wedding stuff and Maria just makes it worse” Liz said hugging herself.

“yeah getting married is a stressful thing” Michael said. Liz got out and headed up to the door.

“Thanks for the ride” She said as she unlocked the door and went in. When she walked in she flipped the light on and Leaned against the door and cried.

Chapter 2


Liz took a shower The warn water felt good on her body. She didn’t know when Sean would come back. She felt so alone right now. She climbed out of the shower and pulled on her bath robe. She went out into the living room and heard a soft knock on the door. She opened the door and was surprised to see max on the other side.

“what are you doing here?” Liz asked.

“Can we talk please” He asked.

“Go away” Liz said. She was about to slam the door on his face when he grabbed her by the wrist.

“ouch!” Liz said. Max let go and Noticed the bruises on her wrist.

“where did you get those?” He asked.

“Go away max! what the hell do you care any ways!” She yelled.

“ Did he hurt you?” max asked.

“No!” Liz yelled.

“ I sware if he hurt you…” Liz stopped him from sayin anything else.

“If he hurts me? You hurt me! You slept with tess in our bed!” Liz yelled.

“ You know that was a set up liz! I don’t even remember what happened!” Max yelled.

“ Don’t you get it? I want nothing to do with you! See this I am marrying sean and there is nothing you can do about it! Why are you here?” Liz said.

“Im worried about you” He said softly. He was worried about me? Liz thought. Liz wanted to jump into his arms and tell him about all the pain and agony she is in. She wanted to tell him she loved him and he was the one she wanted to marry and start a family with.
“Why is everyone so dam worried about me? I can take care of myself everyone needs to back off” Liz said as she tried to slam the door in his face. But he put his foot in the door.

“ Im not done talking to you” Max said.

“get your foot out of the dam door or I will Stomp it” Liz said. Max Finally gave up he moved his foot and Liz slammed the door in his face.

“If that’s the way you want it Liz. You don’t want me around that’s fine” max said as he walked away.



“So what what the hell is going on? Sean jumps all over max and you Liz are arguing whats going on?” Michael asked maria.

“ he did something to Liz I know it” Maria said as she threw her bag down on the couch.

“was this whole dinner thing a way for Liz and max to talk?” Michael asked.

“well duh! I don’t want her with sean” maria said.

“ria did it ever occur to you that’s not your decision to make you need to stay out of things. She is stressed out from all the wedding stuff , just leave her alone for a while” He said taking her into his arms and kissing her.

“Are you trying to shut me up?” She asked kissing back.

“yes we havent had any alone time. And frankly I kind of need some” Michael said kissing her.

“Oh really” Maria said as she started to unbutton his shirt.

The week of the wedding -

“ what is your problem?” nancy parker asked her daughter. They were getting the last preparations and things for the wedding.

“Nothing” Liz said as she tried her wedding dress on for the last fitting.

“ Sean has the perfect idea for your honeymoon, how about Hawaii” Her mom said with a smile from ear to ear. Honeymoon with Sean was the last thing she wanted. She couldn’t stand the idea of having sean touch her. She felt so dirty.

“Im not worried about the dam honeymoon mother” Liz said. Her mother looked at astonished that she would talk to her like that.

“ Elizabeth parker” her mother said.

“Mother” Liz said.

“ your acting like a spoiled brat. Did Whats his name send all the invitations out?” her mother asked.

“whats his name? you mean Michael?” She asked.

“yea him” her mother said.

“lets hope not” Liz said under breath.

“What was that?” her mother asked.

“Oh I hope he did Because it would be a shame if no one showed up” Liz said. She would be happy if no one showed up then she walk right out and go into the arms of max where she would feel safe and secure.

“you look amazing” someone said from behind her. She looked in the mirror and seen Michael’s reflection.

“Thanks” Liz said as she smoothed the wrinkles out on the skirt part of the dress.

“ Oh did you get the invites sent out?” Her mother asked.

“yea all done but there was one I wasn’t too sure if you wanted me to send it or not” Michael said as he handed it to Liz. But before Liz had a chance to take it her mother snatched it from her.

“Max Evans…..well this one is somehow going to get lost in the mail” Her mother said.

“Mom give me the invitation” Liz said.

“No need Im going to tear this one up” She started to rip it up but Liz stopped her. She took the invite and stuck it in her bag.

“For once mother let me do something on my own. Its bad enough you took the charge of this entire dam wedding” Liz said as she went back into the dressing room and took off her dress.

“I guess she told you” Michael said laughing.

“young man if you knew what was good for you leave now” She said glaring at Michael.

“Point taken Liz I will See you later. Good seeing you Mrs parker” he said with a smile and wave good bye.

“ I should have chose your friends” She said walking into the dressing to help Liz.

“Mother!” Liz yelled.

“Well its true you were never good at picking friends” She said.

“ Well if you were good at picking friends you would have some” Liz said as she hurriedly put her clothes on and stomped out of the dressing room. He mother followed right behind her.

“What is wrong with you?”Her mother asked.

“Nothing its nothing I just don’t want to deal with this wedding thing anymore” Liz said.

“ Honey it will all be over soon and you and sean will be sailing away on your honeymoon making babies and making me a grandma” her mother said with a smile. Liz wanted to puke. She suddenly felt sick.

“ yea your right it will be and we will all be one big happy family” Liz said as she got in the car.

Later that night -

Liz couldn’t take it anymore she wanted out. She stuffed her clothes in her bag intending to leave and never come back. Sean came into the room and noticed what she was doing.

“What the hell are you doing?” He asked.

“What does it look like I am doing? You raped me and have been abusing me and Im not taking any more! Im leaving screw you my parents and this stupid wedding” Liz said as she tried to walk out the door. But sean stopped her.

“ Your going back to max arent you?” He asked holding a tight grip on her.

“He loves more then you ever will and treats me a whole lot better!” Liz yelled.

“he wont be treating you that well if he is dead” Sean said. Liz yanked her arm free.

“What?” She looking at him with concern.

“ I know some people that owe me favors. And If you don’t keep your end of the end deal here…well lets just max wont be around much longer” Sean said with an evil smirk.

“you wouldn’t!” Liz yelled.

“I would, if don’t do as I want I will just go down the line. Max, Maria, Michael, I would say your parents but they are kind of paying me to keep you away from max. opps was I suppose to say that?” Sean said.

“you bastard!” Liz yelled.

“ ready to leave now?” he asked. He grabbed her by the arm and threw her back into the apartment. Liz should have known her parents were a part of this. She had to get out some how but it was too late. She had a feeling he make good on his threats. She didn’t want to see anyone she loved get hurt, she had already hurt the one man she cared so much about.

“ You cant do this to me” Liz said in tears.

“I can and I will” Sean said. Liz was scared out of her mind. She was worried to death. After that night sean practically never left her side. She was with her every five minutes.

The next morning-

Liz squirmed out of seans arms. She grabbed her phone off the dresser and quietly got dressed. She called Michael on her cell phone.

“Michael can you meet me at the crashdown. don’t bring Maria I….really need to talk to someone” She said. Michael agreed, Liz quietly grabbed her keys and headed out.

At the crashdown -

“ you have to get out of this Liz” Michael said.

“I cant not until I figure out what to do. He raped me and threatened everyone I love. And If I loose…” Liz stopped herself and Michael knew what she was going to say.

“There is no promises or guarantees that I cant keep this from Maria” Michael said.

“you have to. Just Play along until The wedding Because I don’t know what Im going to do. I cant let him hurt anyone I care about. He wont leave my side I had to sneak out this morning” Liz said as she wiped the tears from her eyes. She was tired of crying.

“You should tell max about this” Michael said.

“No! I cant. I already hurt him enough” Liz said.

“ don’t Hurt him anymore by Marrying Sean” Michael said.

“Please just keep this a secret Until the wedding” Liz asked.

“ I will I promise But you know Maria” Michael said. Yes she knew Maria well. She didn’t like being kept in the dark .

“Thank you” Liz said as she hugged Michael.

“you need to talk to someone else about this Liz. You were raped I want to go over there and beat that bastards face in” Michael said. Liz knew Michael would stick up for her no matter what, he was like a big brother to her. Michael made her feel safe. Being with max would make her feel even safer. She thought his arms being around her making her feel warm and cozy. Laying in bed with him watching him sleep. She missed all that. Tears were running down her face.

“you miss him don’t you?” Michael asked.

“I love him more then anything Michael. I don’t care anymore if he was in bed with tess, Because I know my parents put her up to that. Max is My life” liz said as she tried to hold back the tears.

“ Then you know what you should do right?” Michael said wiping her tears from her face.

“ I cant, Im sure he hates me now” Liz said.

“Don’t be too sure of that” Michael said.


Michael opened the door to the apartment and found Maria standing there waiting for him.

“ Where were you?” She asked.

“ I…was out with max. Why?” Michael asked.

“because you left without leaving a note and telling me goodbye so I was Kind of worried” maria said knowing that Michael was somewhat lying.

“Sorry Babe” he said kissing her softly. In the back of his mind he was worried about Liz. He didn’t k know how he was going to keep this from Maria. Maria could sometimes tell when he was lying and she wont give up until she hears what she wants to hear. ‘Liz better do the right thing’ Michael thought as he smiled at Maria. He wanted to beat that bastards face in. How could any man rape a women especially his best friend? Anger fueled inside Michael. He had to tell max. Him and Max together could keep her safe. ‘oh wait till Maria finds out’ Michael thought.



Two days before the wedding -

“ you ok?” Michael said worried about Liz.

“Im ok” Liz said softly.

“ you have to stop this. You need to tell someone about whats going on” Michael said pleading with her.

“ I cant Im not going to risk the people I love getting hurt” Liz said.

“But your going to risk yourself getting hurt?” Michael asked.

“if that’s what it takes” Liz said with tears in her eyes.

“I cant keep this from maria much longer Liz” Michael said.

“you have to Until I figure out what to do” Liz said.

“Have you talked to max?” Michael asked.

“ I Cant” Liz said. Michael then grabbed the invitation that was suppose to go to max and handed it to Liz.

“Now you can” he said with a smile. Liz looked down at the invitation. Now she had a reason to see max. She was going to make a plan on visiting him tomorrow if Sean and her parents didn’t delay her. She held the invitation to her heart.

“you better go before sean comes home” Liz said softly.

“Ok Be safe please and if something happens call me” Michael said as he hugger her tightly he didn’t want to leave her with him, he was scared to death he would kill her.

“I will thank you” She said hugging him and feeling safe. She wanted to feel safe again. She hated this, her whole world was collapsing and tomorrow was going to be worse. ‘be strong’ Liz said to herself ‘be strong’ she said to herself once again.

Chapter 3

The Night before the wedding -

Max Picked up the tiny pieces of the wedding invitation he tore up. If Liz hadn’t stopped herself he would of ravaged her right then and there. He wanted her more then anything. Max heard the apartment door slammed and was surprised to see Michael walk in.

“We need to talk” Michael said.

“If its about Liz save it. She was already here” max said handing him the tiny pieces of the invitation.

“ Liz has been lying about everything” Michael said flat out.

“what?” Max asked curiously.

“ Im not suppose to say anything to anyone until the wedding because Liz needs to figure out what to do” Michael said. Max seen the seriousness in his eyes.

“ tell me whats going on Michael?” max asked.

“ If I tell you have to promise me that you wont go crazy and you will stay calm because right now Im having trouble with not going over there right now and pounding Deluca’s face in” Michael said. Max sat down he knew this was serious.

“tell me” Max said.

“Liz was all upset and came to me a couple of days ago. Her parents are forcing her to marry Sean” Michael said. Max figured that and knew that. That was no surprise.

“I knew that much, tell me more” Max asked.

“Sean threatened Liz, either marry him or…..he would kill everyone she loved one by one. She is scared out of her mind” Michael said.

“Son of a bitch!” max yelled.

“there is more just stay calm. He….the other night…he..” Michael couldn’t say it.

“He…what?” max asked.

“He raped her” Michael said. Max Suddenly got up and grabbed his things and was headed to the door. Michael stopped him. He Didn’t max to go over there and start a fight. Max didn’t need that right now.

“ Don’t go and do anything stupid not yet please. No one knows but us now I tried to get her to tell you but she was afraid you would hate her. She wants to be with you max. That’s why we need to stop this wedding. Maria was right, And I feel really bad because I have been lying to her myself” Michael said.

“ That bastard hurt her!” Max yelled,

“ he is going to get whats coming to him. Tomorrow will be his day. I just need you to work with us. Liz needs to Listen to her heart” Michael said.

“How I can I sit by and let things happen when I know she is in danger right now? I need her Michael, I need her back” Max said.

“I know and you will get her back I promise. We just have to get her to do this herself” Michael said.

“your not going to stop from going over there and pounding his face in!” max said as he quickly went out the door.

“Dam it! Max! Wait!” Michael knew there would be trouble if he went over there.

Max knocked on the door and sean answered it. Then max punched him square In the jaw.

“What the hell do you think your doing!” Sean yelled.

“ I know what you did to Liz! You piece of shit! If you hurt her again I will kill you myself!” max yelled. Michael came up to him grabbed him and pulled him away from the apartment.

“Dude Are you trying to start trouble?” Michael asked.

“yea I am. Liz is not marrying him!” Max yelled.

“ That’s not your decision.” Sean said as he got up and stood in max’s face.

“ you raped her!” max said pushing him. Just then sean punched him square in the jaw. They started wrestling on the ground. Liz came running out.

“Whats going on?” Liz asked.

Michael finally pulled max off sean and held him back. Max looked over liz with a busted bloody lip.

“Tell him you don’t love him Liz! Tell him you love me! We kissed Liz! He fucking raped you Liz!” Max yelled. Michael pushed him to the car.

“ You better leave! She is with me! Your just jealous you cant have her! Why don’t you go back to your whore tess!” Sean yelled. Anger Fueled in max He started after sean again but Michael held him back.

“he isn’t worth it” Michael said as he shoved max into the car.


“what the hell happened?” maria asked as she seen Max’s bloody lip. How was he going to explain this one to maria. She examined his face, it looked really bad.

“ he got into a fight with sean” Michael said.

“What!” Maria said. Just then the apartment door slammed and Liz came rushing up to them.

“What the hell do you think you were doing!” she yelled at max as she pushed him hard.

“What the hell are you doing!“ max yelled.

“ Lets give them some space” Maria said taking Michael outside.

“ Stay out of my business!” Liz yelled.

“No! Im giving you an ultimatum Liz if you marry him tomorrow Im gone. Im leaving town. If you stay here with me I will make you the happiest women in the world” He said pulling her closer and touching her face. Tears were running down her face. Max wiped them away with his thumb.

“Please don’t do this” Liz said pulling away. She suddenly seen that vision of Max in bed with Tess.

“ Don’t marry him” max said.

“why shouldn’t I? I mean you slept with tess” Liz said.

“ That was a set up. Tess told me herself. We didn’t even have sex. She drugged me she knew right when you would have been coming home and knew what she was doing” Max said softly.

“Doesn’t matter tomorrow Im getting married and there is nothing you anyone can do about it” Liz said.

“Oh yea” max said pulling her into his arms and kissing her. The next thing Liz knew they were in the bedroom. Liz wanted this more then anything.

“ I want you. I love you and Im not going to hurt you. Is this what you want?” max said touching her and kissing her. Liz was overwhelmed with passion she couldn’t respond but Max knew her answer. He took her over to the bed and They made passionate love .


The next morning -
Liz woke up she realized what happened. She slowly got out of bed trying not to disturb max. She didn’t want to leave But right now she had no choice. Last Night was amazing. She picked her clothes up off the floor.

She looked back at max sleeping so soundly. She got dressed and Quietly left.
Several hours before the wedding -

“Elizabeth parker where have you been?” her mother asked looking at her with disgust.

“don’t worry about it mom” liz said as she went up stairs.

“We have to get going. You look like hell! We have to get everything down to the church” Her mother said frantically. She didn’t want to do this But at this point she didn’t think she had a choice. Liz was gathering all her things trying to put herself together. She Heard her phone ring she pulled it out of her bag and noticed max’s name on the caller id. She Quickly hit ignore. What was she doing? She just had an amazing night with the one man she loved and here she was going to marry a bastard who raped her.

“Lets go Elizabeth were going to be late Sean is already at the church!” Her mother yelled.

“Im coming!” Liz said as she tried to hurry and also take her time.


Liz threw everything onto the floor of the dressing the church had. She looked at herself in the mirror, she felt sick to her stomach. She held her stomach tightly. Michael came into the dressing room.

“you doing ok? Your mom sent me down here to practically be her slave and set up for the wedding” Michael said.

“ Im fine” Liz lied she wasn’t fine.

“ So what happened between you and max last night?” Michael asked curiously.

“ I don’t want to talk about it” Liz said. Liz’s mother was around the corner listen to them talk. She had to do something, she knew max would show up and ruin the wedding.

“ That usually means something happened” Michael said. His phone suddenly rang and he quickly pulled it out of his pocket.

“hello” he said.

“Dude I need to get into that wedding. I have to stop it” max said into the phone.

“ what are you going to do? Because you know Mrs parker wont allow that” Michael said looking over at Liz.

“ I know Tell Liz if she truly loves me then she will meet me at the crashdown. If she doesn’t show up I know what her decision was.” Then max hung up.

“ Liz, that was max. He wants you to meet him at the crashdown If you don’t show up he will know your decision. I think you know what to do” Michael said.

“Michael Dear we need right away” her mother said. Michael left and her mother shut the door behind him and turned to Liz.

“What do you think your doing?” her mother asked.

“what does it look like Im doing?” Liz asked.

“if you think your going to run off with that loser max your seriously mistaken! You have man who is wonderful and perfect!” Her mother yelled. Liz turned to her mother with anger and fury in her eyes.
“perfect! The bastard fucking raped me mother!” Liz yelled.

“ Stop with your lies!” She yelled.

“ Stop your lies! Your paid tess to drug max and make it look like he slept with her! And your probably paying sean to marry me!” Liz yelled. Just then her mother slapped her across the face.

“get that dress on marry sean or else” Her mother said.

“Or else what?” Liz asked holding her face. Her mother left the room. Liz held her face tears were Running down her eyes.

Everyone was gathering into the church for the wedding. Maria made her way to the Liz’s dressing room. She walked in and saw Liz sitting in front of the mirror. She had to do something she had to stop this before her best friends life was ruined.

“Hey how its going?” maria asked as she walked in.

“Just great” Liz said trying to put her makeup and everything on.

“We need to talk” Maria said.

“There is nothing to talk about” Liz said.

“ Lizzie you are making the biggest mistake of your life” Maria said to her in the dressing room.

“ Maria This is my decision and its been made” Liz said putting her makeup on.

“ Why are you and max the two most stubborn people in the world! Your not doing this because you love Sean your doing this to make your parents happy and him happy. What’s he holding over your head liz? Whats he holding over your head so you will marry him?” Maria asked. She knew her cousin well. And she knew the games he played to get what he wanted.

“Ria he isn’t holding anything over my head. Im doing this because I want to” Liz said.

“Right well….Im not staying and watching my best friend make the worse decision of her life. Listen to your heart when it tells you what you really want let me know.” She said as she walked out of the dressing room. Liz looked up at herself in the mirror. Tears were starting to form in her eyes.

“ Be strong you can do this” She said as she looked over at her wedding dress hanging on the hook. She smiled and realized what she had to do.

The wedding music was playing. Maria was in her place as the brides maid. Sean was in his place. She glared at him. She looked over at Michael with raised eyebrows. Everyone turned to look at the door and see Liz walking down the aisle. ‘ dam her’ tears were running down her face as she looked at Sean. Maria looked at Michael with the face that said ‘ stop this some how’.

Michael didn’t know what to do. He got his phone out and text maria. Maria felt her phone vibrate she hid it behind her bouquet to read the message.

“max is waiting for her at the crashdown” It said.


“ If anyone objects Please speak now or forever hold your peace” The minister said. Everyone was silent. Liz had to say something she had to speak up she had to get out of this before she was dead because of him.

“I object” Liz said out loud. Maria dropped her bouquet of flowers.

“Yes!” Maria yelled. Everyone looked around stunned.

“What do you think your doing Elizabeth?” her mother asked stunned

“Doing what I should of done a long time ago” Liz said As she dropped her bouquet and headed for the church doors. She had to meet max at the crashdown. He was the love of her life and she wasn’t about to let him go. This was her time to be free. To Break the chains of a controlling mother.

Chapter 4

Made it half way when Sean grabbed her from behind. She fought with him, she pulled and kicked trying to free herself from his grasp.

“let go of me!” She yelled. Michael Pulled Sean back Liz went flying backwards and fell hard onto the ground. Liz sat up, her head was throbbing. She touched the back of her head and her fingers were covered in blood. Suddenly everything went black.

Several hours later -

Liz woke up in the hospital. She looked around not sure what was going on. She winced in pain as she tried to move. Everything was blurry and out of focus for a few seconds.

“Whats going on?” Liz asked trying to make sense of things.

“your in the hospital” Michael said trying to calm her down.

“What?” Liz asked.

“you fell and hit your head” Michael said. She looked down and realized she was wearing a wedding dress.

“ Why am I wearing a wedding dress? Michael what is going On? Where is Max?” She asked confused.

“Liz don’t you remember what happened?” Michael asked.

“ The last thing I remember is…..being upset with max. we got into this big fight and…..I have to make things right with him” She tried get up but was dizzy.

“Sit still let me get a doctor” Michael talked to the doctor out in the hall.

“ She isn’t going to remember anything that happened After that particular point in time” the doctor said.

“ So what do we do?” Michael asked.

“Its going to take some time then she will slowly get her memory back. Were going to keep her over night to observe her and the baby” the doctor said. Michael looked at him curiously.

“baby?” Michael asked.

“Yes the baby, you didn’t know she carrying a baby she is several weeks pregnant” the doctor said. This isn’t good Michael thought. He went back into the room with liz. How was He going to explain to Liz. She didn’t remember being with sean The last person she remembers being with is max. How was he going to explain this to Liz?
“Thanks Doctor” Michael said. He went back into the Liz’s hospital room.

“I have to go find max I have no idea what is even going on” Liz holding her head feeling dizzy.

“Lizzie just relax we will get max here ok” Michael said. Liz Relaxed and sat back on the bed. She was so confused she had no idea what just happened. Maria rushed in and seen The look on Michael’s face.

“Lizzie relax ok Im going to go talk to ria” He said. He stepped out into the hall and seen max.

“I got him here just in time before he could catch the bus out of town” maria said.

“ What happened?” Max asked. This was going to be hard to explain to everyone even Liz.

“ She was trying to leave the wedding to meet you. There was a fight with sean . Long story short Liz fell and hit her head pretty hard. The last thing she remembers is getting into a fight with you. She don’t remember anything after that. The doctors want to keep her over night for observations. And here is the grand finally of everything, she is several weeks pregnant” Michael said. Maria gasped in surprise. Michael seen the anger in Max’s eyes because he knew the father of the baby was sean and it was created by rape.

“So what do we do now?” Max asked.

“We wait and see if she remembers anything” Michael said.

“How are we going to explain to her that she is pregnant and its seans baby? She might think its max’s.” Maria said.

“We will have to figure something out. I need to see her” Max said. He walked into the hospital room and seen Liz, she looked up at him and smiled.

“max” She said trying to get up , but Max stopped her.

“Baby don’t get up” He said making her lay back down.

“ I don’t know whats going on its all a blur” Liz said with tears in her eyes.

“Its ok baby Im here. Just rest and everything will ok” max said brushing her hair away from her eyes.

“ I don’t want to ever fight again” Liz said.

“we wont I promise” max said.

“I love you” Liz said softly as she faded off to sleep. Max kissed her forehead.

“I love you too” max said softly.
