I sat staring out of the bus window. I had ditched the car I had stolen because it ran out of gas so here I was on a bus wishing it would go faster. I have a feeling my mom is going to be waiting for me at the bus stop but I dont mind, she's going to help me get my daughter back and that's all that matters.
"Do you want some dearie?" I turned to the elderly lady sitting next to me. She had a flask of cocoa
"Oh no thank you" I replied casually and look back out the window
"Why are you heading to Roswell dearie?" she asks again and I turn in my seat to face her properly.
"Well I'm half alien and I was dragged into a place called the White Room, the night previous I slept with the alien King of Antar who I supposed to protect and I got pregnant. The White Room blew up and all my friends thought I died but I came out here to hide but there were these Duplicates of three of my friends and they stole my baby. They want to return to Antar" I said roughly and almost broke down in tears
"Oh shush now dearie dont cry" she put her arm around my shoulder and tried to get me to stop.
"What's your name?" I asked her as I wiped some tears away with my sleeve
"Everyone called me Gamma" she said with a knowing smile "Now tell me in full detail about your life. You've got quite a tail to your name"
"Well my name is Liz but some people might call me Mitosta. A few years back out in the Whirlwind Galaxy in the Vee Constellation there was a planet called Antar and my mother was born there. She was the guardian of this very important machine called the Granilith and she was friends with the Royal Four Zan, Vilandra, Rath and Ava. Now the Royal Four got older and Zan loved Mitosta, that was my mothers name, but he had to marry Ava so he did. Our enemies killed them all and my mother was sent down in the granilith with them. They were recreated and put into pods so they could be born again. My mom remained in the granilith till it was safe to come out and she was found and taken in by my grandma Claudia who raised her and loved her. My mom got pregnant with me and I was born in the granilith, I would have been her clone but because of my father's human DNA I look like this. The Royal Four came out of their pods and I had no idea I was half alien till the shooting at the Crashdown cafe"
"I remember that, it made the papers. Were you the girl the shot?"
"Yes I was. The clone of Zan can heal and he jumped up the heal me but it was too late I had already healed myself. I can't die or be hurt unless they all die first. So then I found out I was part alien and because I was owned by the Royal Four they could order me blindly to do anything. The clone of Ava mindwarped me into trying to decode a book that would lead them home back to Antar but she failed and we sent her away to the White Room.
A year later after falling in love with Zan's clone and spending the night with him I was taken by the FBI agency called the Special Unit. I found out that Tess, Ava's clone, had been tortured and she had told them everything about me. I wasnt angry in the least because no one deserves that kind of torture. I stayed with her and helped her stay safe and we became friends. I was pregnant and the baby grew and grew, I named her Kira. They empregnated Tess too and she got pregnant and had a baby. Alien pregnancies last about a month, when they came to rescue us I was already trying to escape and in turn got left behind. I was dragged back in there and I was tortured and tricked but eventually I decided that my daughter wouldnt be born in the white room but free. So I broke out after waiting for my family and friends to rescue me. I made them all think I was dead and went to New York where Kira was taken from me"
"Wow that's quite a tail, dearie and you seem to believe it so much"
"I had a feeling you wouldnt believe me. After all I dont exist, aliens didnt come to Roswell and it was a weather balloon and your government would never do that right?"
"Exactly dearie, you're a clever girl arent you"
"I can show you something really clever" I said when I saw Michael's dirt bike travelling alongside the bus. "Time for me to get off" I said as I stood up and moved past her.
"Dearie the bus isnt going to stop out here" she said
"I know Gamma," I said moving to an empty two seats and blasted out the window with me hand "See you round Gamma" I said before jumping out onto the sand with a thud. I expected to see Michael on the bike but I wasnt surprised that it was mom under that helmet
"Lizzy" she hugged me and I hugged her back
"I've missed you mom. Now come on let's go!" I said climbing onto the back and she pulled her helmet back on and we sped off fast past the bus that had stopped because of the blast. Should make for a hell of a story in the Enquirer!

I've been away and nothings changed but it still looks so different. I can smell the grease stronger than before and the bell above the door seems even louder than ever and I just walk in like I owned the place. I got a few suprised and frightened looks off people and I barely saw Maria come charging at me
"I knew you'd come back when the time was right" she said squeezing me far too tight
"The Royal Four have clones, they stole my baby"
"Kira? Oh no!" she gasped
"That's why I've come back. Once I find my daughter I'm gone"
"Oh Liz dont leave again"
"I am going to destroy the clones and take my baby and go back where I belong. I'm not angry at you or mom but the others had the chance to rescue me and they didnt. They left me to escape on my own"
"I'm sorry, so sorry Liz" she whispered and hugged me again. I moved over and sat down at the counter. I heard a familiar giggle from behind me and I turned and saw Kyle and Tess coming into the cafe. Kyle was pushing a stroller with Tess's baby in it. They stopped and froze when they saw me. Tess just whimpered in fear and stepped back
"No!" she screamed "Stop it! Stop it! Stop it!" she yelled "Stop making me see her! Dont hurt me any more! It's not real!" Kyle gripped her shoulders and began to shake her.
"Tess, Tess it's okay" she stopped panicking and flung herself into his arms
"For a moment I thought... I thought I was back there and they were showing me Liz. It's not real, it's not real, Liz is dead" she repeated closing her eyes and wishing for it to be true. She opened her eyes and I was still there. She closed them again quickly trying to block out the pain she got from seeing me here and alive. I stood up and walked over to her
"Tess" I whispered putting my hand on her shoulder. She let go off Kyle and wrapped her arms around me
"You're real, oh god, you're real" she cried and I burst out crying too.
"Help me Tess" I began "Help me find my daughter"
"I will. I will, I promise. I'll help you find Kira"
"Thank you"
"What about Max?" I turned and saw Michael standing there in a greasy cooks outfit
"Brother" I mouthed and I fell into his arms. Soon we were all in a group hug all tearful and crying.
"You're not staying are you?"
"I can't Michael"
"Then after you've got Kira back let me go with you"
"No Michael, what about Maria?"
"I'll go with you too" she whispered serious contemplating what that would mean.
"Are you really going to do that? It's throwing your life away" I told them as we all sat down in a booth and Tess began cooing at her son
"And you're so happy to do it Liz?" snapped Kyle angrily
"I dont have a life. I'm not one thing or the other anymore, I'm not human and I'm not Antarian and I'm not a hybrid I'm just a mix and I dont deserve to be here like this"
"Like hell you dont!" Michael said roughly "You've been through so much and you've given without taking. You helped me discover who I was and I owe you so much. There is no way that you're not a thing, you're the person who has given me strength to be who I am and the strength to love and not fear the people around me"
"I wish I could have met this person you're talking about because this isnt me, Michael. I'm not this girl whose been so strong and brave, I'm afraid. Afraid that I wont be able to protect my daughter, afraid that I wont be able to leave you all behind, I'm afraid of so much and you just dont understand" I stood up
"I can't live like this, it's just too much Michael"
"If you'd seen half the things I've seen you do through my eyes then you wouldnt feel like this. I'm in awe of you and I would do anything and everything in my powers to help you feel happy"
"Then let me go" I turned and headed for the door but Lonnie appeared
"Hello Majesty" she sneered
"Where's Kira by god tell me or I'll kill you!" I said grabbing her by the colar and shoving her up against the door
"Easy girl. You kill me and you'll never get your daughter back, we's just want to go home to Antar and you's gonna lead us there" she smirked cruelly and I felt sick to my stomach.

Summary: This part is in Max's POV, have your tissues ready. This ones a sad part.

I stood there mindlessly putting things in the trolley and my mom kept taking them back out again
"I thought this would help" she said sadly "You've spent too long in that room of yours. But you're not even concentrating on what you're doing" she said and I looked down into the trolley where there was two packs of stockings, a hair curler and the a few tins of tomatoes.
"Sorry mom" I replied dully
"I think I should take you home, I'll get your father to pick up some stuff later"
"No it's okay I'll be fine" I tried to reassure her but it was no good
"Come on let's pay. He can get the rest later" she said as we moved to the counter. I began putting stuff up on the belt then I froze when I looked out the window opposite. I began to shake as I saw her. It was her! She was alive! She was walking along the street and I dropped the milk and tried to get past the people in front but I couldnt so I got up and walked along the belt and jumped down the other side.
"LIZ!" I called trying to make my way across the busy street. A car passed in front of her and when it moved and I got round she was gone. I looked up and down the street with the grin on my face but it went as she wasnt there.
"Liz" I whispered my chin wobbling and tears threatening to fall. I collapsed down on the street my body racked with sobs over her. I wish I had taken more chance to know her. I wish I spent more time with her
"Max" mom came over and helped me up
"I saw her mom. I saw her walking along the street"
"Stop. You can't blame yourself for her death, it was an accident" she said guiding me toward the car. If only she knew the truth it is my fault, all my fault, and she'll never know that my actions got Liz killed.
Mom shut my side door and went round to sit in the drivers seat. I stopped her from started the engine
"I have to tell you something"
"What? Max what is it?" she whispered as I started crying over again
"I want to thank you for being there for me when I never told you the truth. Now with Liz and my baby's death I know that the people around me I've lied to to keep safe over the years dont deserve the danger I put them in"
"Max? What danger?" she asked rather worried
"I come from a planet called Antar and I was once King. Nancy Parker is an alien too, so is Liz and Isabel and Michael and Tess, Maria is too now"
"Aliens? Max this is serious now tell me what's going on"
"I was called Zan, I was King of Antar and Isabel was Princess. Tess was my queen and Michael was my second in command, we were killed and Nancy who was our guardian to a special machine called the granilith protected us. She came down to earth with us in the forty seven crash and she's been out protector. I fell for Liz because she's almost a clone of Nancy I know it's weird but my past self Zan was in love with Nancy back on Antar. It's hard to believe but I spent the night with Liz and she was taken to a place called the White Room. It was destroyed in a fireball, it is underneath Rogers Air Base and Liz and my child were in that fire. They died, she died because I never rescued her"
"Max... you're worse than I thought. You have to stop making up these delusions to blame yourself, it isnt real" she tried to make me believe it but I shook my head
"No mom! It's real!" I shouted angrily before my body succumb to more heart wrenching sobs "Why dont you believe me?"
"It sounds to wild Max how can I believe you? It's crazy" she fastened her belt and went to start the car but I got out and slammed the door
"Max?" I put my hand against the lock and my hand glowed and the locks fused slammed shut "Max?" she gasped as she tried to unlock the doors.
"I'm sorry mom. It's all my fault I couldnt save Liz, she waited for me and I betrayed her. So now I'm going to go and no one will be in danger because of me anymore. I love you mom, I hope you always remember that"
"Max!" she yelled moving over to to the window and began to try and break it. I just turned and walked out of the parking lot and towards the busy road.
"MAX!" I could hear her yell as she banged on the window. I walked out and avoided the first car and stopped in the middle of the road. I closed my eyes as the car came closer
"Liz please forgive me" I said silent and soft as the car hit me...

Summary: The aftermath of Max's decisions. It's Multi-POV.

I couldnt let him see me. I heard him calling out my name and I just couldnt deal with it. He left me there in that place I just couldnt face him, Lonnie looked like she wanted to run out and kick his ass. We hid in an alley, he was so close to us and I was worried he'd find me. Diane came over after he fell down on the floor crying. It was heartbreaking seeing his face like that. I just stood and watched them in the car for a moment. Then he got out, oh that was the most scariest thing I've ever seen. Diane was trying to get out after he locked the car doors, I could see the pain in her face as he stood there in the middle of the road. Lonnie laughed and time seemed to stop. My breath slowed and I heard him, I heard what he was saying

"Forgive me Liz"

Then I saw the car come careening towards him. The driver hit the breaks making a loud screeching noise and my breath went into overdrive. The car didnt slow down enough and I watched as his legs went up and his head smashed down on the hood. I heard someone scream and then I was moving on instinct. I started walking but then I felt my legs go weak. No not now! I could feel his pain and it was stopping me from helping. I tried desperately to block his feelings so I could get up and help him. Lonnie was trying to pull me away but suddenly I could feel he granilith and it was ruling over me. I yelled out and became pure energy like when I'd healed Maria. I was just light and I moved over the people gathered round him. Diane had managed to get out and come running over to him. He was on the floor now and I just walked through the street trying to take steps with legs made of light. I reached him and knelt down. People moved back and Diane looked up at me
"You're that angel! Heal my son please! Heal him!"
"Zan" I whispered my voice sounded metallic "I'm here. Dont feel bad" I put my hand over him and began to heal him using the energy from the granilith. The Vee Constellation Symbol appeared over his heart and my skin began turning back to normal. I panicked because warmth was seeping through my skin. I saw the symbol of the granilith appear from me and mingle into the Vee Symbol.
"Liz" he whispered his eyes fluttering open. I had to go before people realised who I was. I floated off and away back to the alley and slumped down against the wall returning to corporeal form
"Do ya know wot ya just did?"
"I healed him"
"Not just dat! You've just bonded yourself in love ta 'im! You's married him"
"That's silly"
"Dont believe me if ya dont want ta but its da truth" she shrugged. I stood up and lifted her up with one arm.
"Where is my daughter" I hissed "Tell me!"
"Pod Chamber, Rath's got her" I nodded and put a hand to her head and took the information to prove she was telling the truth. She was, her funeral. She turned to dust without a sound and I headed there. No one was going to keep me from my daughter.

She's alive. I can feel her, she's in my head humming at the back of my mind. She's going to the pod chamber and that's where I'll go too. Mom wont stop hugging me and she's pulled me off the road. I almost ran to the car, she stayed by my side and I slid into the drivers seat
"Max you're in no state to drive" she said
"I've got to go somewhere and if you want to come with me that's fine. Just dont try and stop me" she slid into the passenger seat and patted my hand after putting her seat belt on. I drove there, I was quick and I was surprised to see Liz was already there. She was just about going in,
"Max why are we out in the desert?" she asked with fear in her voice
"Come with me" she got out and followed me up the slope scared. I put my hand against the handprint and the rock rolled back. Mom just looked scared
"This is where I was born mom, where all of us where born" I showed her the pod chamber then crawled through mine to the granilith. She followed me in and I found a punked out Michael and Tess holding a baby and Liz glaring at them.
"You picked a funny place to blackmail me"
"Yo queenie dis take us home. Not so funny ta me"
"You're not leaving this planet!" she hissed then she seemed to sense me and looked my way.
"Max" she looked terrified at seeing me. She glanced briefly at Diane standing behind me.
"Why do Michael and Tess want to go home? I thought you were happy here?"
"They're Michael and Tess's duplicates. Clones, they kidnapped Kira. Our daughter"
"Our daughter? They have our daughter?" he raised his hand but she slapped it down
"That wont do any good here Max. This is a sacred place, only I can wield the power here because of who I am"
"Mitosta" I whispered and she nodded
"I'm not just the queen dupey dupes. I'm Mitosta" Rath's eyes widened in fear as a bolt of energy surrounded him. I darted forward and grabbed Kira from him and then double bolts hit them. They were screaming in pain and mom looked terrified. Liz just watched as the turned to dust. She came over and took Kira from me.
"Max" she was shaking "Tell the others I'm okay" she almost passed out. She reached out and touched the skin of the granilith. She and Kira were sucked in and her clothes fell to the floor in a pile.
"Max what's going on?"
"It's a long story. I think we should go home and call dad and the others and I'll tell you"

I wondered what was going on? Max was sitting there so tense. Diane had called my office telling me I had to come home imediately because there was an emergency.
The mood was sombre when I got here, all their friends were sat round including the Sheriff. That just made me worry more and Liz, she was there nursing a baby girl.
"What's going on?"
"Dad sit down it's time we had a talk" I sat down near Diane who seemed so excited by it all and still rather disbelieving
"What's happened"
"Everything" mumbled Michael
"Michael" warned Max "We're aliens. Nearly all of us are aliens here dad"
"Aliens?" I laughed
"All of them except me and my son and you two" said the Sheriff. He wasnt joking.
"Please enough with the jokes tell us what happened!"
"My mom's here" announced Liz but I never heard the doorbell ring
"Nancy it's okay the doors open" called Max and she came in and bowed to him.
"I take it that this is a formal meeting your highness"
"We're sharing the truth"
"Why is she calling you your highness?" he demanded
"Max is a king" said Diane practically bouncing in her seat "He's an alien king of a planet called Antar"
"Please tell me the truth"
"But we are" announced Liz as she stood up "I have to go"
"Are you okay?"
"Yeah just a little wiped out. I didnt get enough time to recharge after healing you. Max why did you step in front of that car?"
"I thought it was all my fault"
"Well it's not so dont ever do that again!" she snapped Nancy came over and put a hand on her back
"Do you want me to drive you? How's Kira is she okay? Is she like us?"
"She's half and half like me. She's the Heir to Antar because of Max, I'm just going to go from here. I dont want people to see me back, I've had too many public displays today already" she said as she glanced at Max then she closed her eyes and she began to turn into energy before she and Kira both disappeared
"How did she do that?"
"She's an alien we told you" said Max
"There are five planets in the Whirlwind Galaxy and they lie in the Vee Constellation the main one is Antar and it oversees the rest. Max is a genetic recreation of their King Zan. Isabel is a genetic recreation of their Princess Vilandra and Tess is the genetic recreation of the queen Ava and Michael is a genetic recreation of Rath the general to the armies. They made up the Royal Four. I was their guardian and guardian to a machine called the Granilith. I was born from it and the Granilith can create or destroy a lot of peoplem, Kivar their enermy wanted to get his hands on it so he killed the Royal Four. They were genetically recreated and sent here, I would have died along with them if I hadnt made it to the granilith to keep me alive. I came out and was adopted by Claudia Parker, I married Jeff and I got pregnant our daughter couldnt survive without doses of energy from the granilith and so she too was infused with part of its energy. She's almost my exact clone and would be too if she didnt have Jeff as her father. Liz's daughter is a lot like her, Max is the father which makes Kira, your granddaughter, heir to the throne of Antar. She can rule"
"So all of you know?"
"Yes" they said in unison
"You said everyone in this room was alien except the Valenti family and me and Diane so that means Maria..."
"I was healed. I was stupid to try and break into a connection, it's something they do, and I got burnt alive. Max healed me and now I'm different"
"You almost died? Does your mother know?"
"My mom doesnt need to know. I'm comfortable with her not knowing because if she knew she'd probably wrap me up in bubble wrap"
"We're here to tell you and discuss what we should do about Liz?"
"Yeah she said she was gone when she got Kira back. Do you really think she's going to leave?"
"I'm going with her if she does. Kira's my daughter and I love Liz more than life itself"
"Yeah I know" quipped Diane "Dont leave Max, you're still in school"
"I could pass every single exam if I took it now, I'm just twiddling my thumbs here. I love Liz and I would go to the ends of the earth if it meant I could be with her"
"What about you Isabel?"
"Max is my family, I know you adopted us but part of him is my blood family and I'd go with him"
"And you Michael? You've been like a second son to us would you leave to?"
"I've given a lot of thought to this and even though Max and Isabel have always been considered my family I can't go with them. I want to stay with the girl I love and if she goes with Liz then I will too. But while we're on confessions there's something I need to do" he turned to Maria and got down on one knee
"Maria you're the most annoying and self centered and rude person after me and I wouldnt have it any other way. You're been there for me through everything and I want to know if you'd make me the happiest half human on the planet? Will you marry me?"
"Oh SpaceBoy!" she cried and flung herself at him "I'll be your SpaceGirl" she kissed him and he put the ring on her finger.
"After Graduation though, I so do not want to face your mother"
"Yeah shot gun under the couch"
"Dont remind me, I thought she was joking but when I stayed over after Liz's alleged death well... let's just say I wasnt the only one with something long and hard" she swatted him and then snuggled into his chest.
"So you're all leaving?"
"Me and Kyle are staying. We're going to raise a family here"
"Liz is our queen if she goes then so do we and that's it" so the choice had been made but the question was would Liz really leave?

Summary: Will she stay... or will she go?

I craddled Kira in my arms as I looked up at the Granilith. I couldnt really leave this place because I needed the Granilith so much. But then again I could always teleport here, I could teach Kira to do the same.
"Liz" I turned round and saw Maria and Michael hand in hand
"What are you doing here"
"Liz you've given us so much" Michael began then he let go of Maria's hand and looked to her
"That's right. You've been here and a friend to me"
"And you helped me find out who I really was. You've given me family, now I have a fiance, a sister and a niece. We're both comitted to going where ever you will"
"Are you sure you're willing to give up your lives like this?"
"Liz you are our lives. You've been apart of it we've made our mind up. If you go we'll follow"
"What about Max and Isabel?" Isabel came in and stood with Alex.
"Maria is my sister and is she is marrying Michael that makes you family. Isabel and I are going with you because I can't leave my family behind and neither can she"
"Isabel what about Max and your parents?"
"My parents understand. They knew that this day would come and they're happy for me"
"And Max?"
"Max is happy for me too. But I know he's going to stay, I know he loves you and Kira with all his heart and soul but he's choosing between his family and his home"
"Doesnt he understand they're the same thing?" snapped Michael angrily
"Once he figures it out it'll be too late" I told them and Isabel nodded "I'm leaving now. If you're going to come with me then I suggest you go home and pack and meet my by the Crashdown in an hours time. Thanks" I turned and walked out.
This is it. I can see them all standing in front of the people carrier packing up their things into the back. Kyle and Tess are staying just like me, how could I be so stupid to go. Everything in my heart tells me that I should but I want to stay here. I want to stay with my parents and the life I've known for so long. She looked up at me and my heart broke even more if that was possible.
My dad's car came speeding round the corner and I jumped. He got out and handed me a suitcase
"Dad?"
"You have to go"
"You're kicking me out?"
"No. Your entire family is about to leave without you, you can't hide from the things that make you you because you're going to get left behind. Liz means the world to you, we've all seen that. Dont be ready to let her go so easily because you could never see them again"
"Dad..."
"Max if you dont go now then you'll be forty and on your own. Is that what you really want?"
"No"
"Then go over there and tell her how you really feel!" he handed me the suitcase and shoved me towards the cafe. I walked across the road and she saw me coming and handed Kira to Isabel.
"I knew you wouldnt let me leave"
"I had to choose between my family and my home and you won" I stated and she just laughed
"Max your family is your home. That's why they're coming with me"
"I'm sorry for thinking I'd let you get away" I sobbed and put my arms around her.
"Dont be. I knew you wouldnt let me" she replied as she held me in her arms. Michael put my suitcase in the back of her dad's people carrier and we said goodbye to family and friends.
I snuggled in next to Liz as Michael and Maria and Alex drove as Isabel held Kira in her arms and cooed at her.
They were right, home was where you family was and I had everyone I needed right here.
I'm Max Evans and I'm happy...
