He had spent his whole existence searching, looking for his roots; the
ties that would bind him to the here and now. He thought he had found
it once, but as they all seem to do, they rejected him and his ways.
Impatient, never willing to listen, head strong, stonewall through and
through, until he experienced his one moment of true happiness.

Hey Mr. Hero
Walking a thin, fine line
Under the microscope of life

She was his reason for living. Everything he had ever searched for was
found while in her arms. The funny thing was that she called him her
hero.

She only saw how he pulled her back from jumping over the edge into
madness; never once seeing how she did the same to him. She healed him
through the tenderness she displayed, in her willingness to put others
before herself, her uncomplicated devotion and complete trust that he
would never deceive her. Now it was time to step up and do something
just for her.

Ten...Nine...Eight...Seven...Six...Five...Four...Three...Two...One
They were all out there waiting in puzzlement, even she had no clue as
to why he called this meeting so suddenly. Nervousness shot through
him as he prepared to make the most important announcement in his
young life; second only to when he had finally found the courage to
say those three sacred words to her. I Love You.

He still could remember her shocked expression that transformed into
instant happiness as if it happened just yesterday. He wanted to
light up her face again, see the joy fill her eyes and her beautiful
smile. He kept that image in his mind as he took a deep breath and
entered the room.

Count down to the change in life that's soon to come.
Your life has just begun.

He watched her face go from confused to anticipation as he came over
to her side, instantly knowing what he intended. Every one else in the
group exchanged puzzled looks, but he blocked them all out and focused
solely on her. They would know his intentions soon enough. No longer
would he hide his love for her.

"Forever", was all he said while holding out his hands for her
acceptance. He couldn't contain his smile when her face lit up with
joy and she placed her small hands within his own. He was ready.
With her by his side, his journey could now begin and together they
would face their "family."

The countdown was over and thier life had just begun.
