"Yeah, I'm fine." I lie rather badly if I might add. Stiil, it's nice to see a friendly face. Ale eyes me suspiciously and I relent.

"Liz and I just got in a fight, and I'm upset because we like never fight. Ever." Tears roll unabashedly down my cheeks. I begin to wipe them away, but Alex stops me and pulls me into his arms for a comforting hug.

Its *sniffle* Just*sniffle* That *sniffle* I'm upset because she doesn't let me in anymore. It's like that alien has taken over her heart and now she doesn't even have time to talk to me about it. Let alone to ask how I feel about this horrid situation. I wouldn't have even been here if she hadn't begged and may I add paid me to go. I just want to know whats going on with her. It feels like I don't even know her anymore. It's obvious she's going through something right now. I just wish I knew what it was so I could help. You know? Ugh, I'm sorry. I know I am totally babbling ,but it just hurts. I'm mad because I am sad and I'm sad because..."

I don't get to finish my ramble because Alex and I overhear Sheriff Valenti whispering something into his cell phone...

“Yeah, I’m fine…”

To say that she and Liz have done so much of it since getting to know Max and the others, I can’t say that either of them are much good at lying… I always knew there was something weird about all their mentions of Chekezlovakians…

I raise my eyebrows and look at her, making it perfectly clear I’m not convinced, but not actually saying anything.

It doesn’t take long for her to explain. “Liz and I just got into a fight and I’m upset because we like never fight…ever…”

She’s crying openly, and I know what she says is true. “Hey…it’s okay…” I tell her, reaching out to stop her as she reaches up to wipe the tears away. Catching her arms, I pull her towards me and wrap her in what I hope is a comforting hug.

As she starts to pour out all her woes, I listen silently, just there to give any comfort I can.

She breaks off, and I’m about to say something, but then don’t, because right at that moment in time, I become aware that we’re not alone… A little way off, hopefully far enough that he won’t have heard Maria’s ‘a’ reference, Jim Valenti – the Sheriff is stood.

I actually thought that he had been with Moira…but apparently not anymore…

I touch Maria’s arm, my lack of words a silent warning as she turns and I indicate in his direction. We move up just slightly as he starts talking, hoping to hear a little of what is being said, but his words make me freeze.

“…something big’s going on…I might not be able to handle this alone…extra fire power…”

I miss the occasional word, but I think I’ve heard enough… This really isn’t good…I wonder if Isabel and Max have gone yet…if not, it might be a very good idea for them to pass up on their night-time excursion…

“…something big’s going on…I might not be able to handle this alone…extra fire power…”

That can't be good. He needs extra fire power. Why would he need fire power at all. I am sure this has something to do with The Pod Squad, perhaps it has Liz's mysteriousness before. I meet Alex's eyes. Uck!
He knows whats going on. Ugh... Deluca's always the last to know.
Pulling Alex into a nearbly bush, we bend down and hide so we can hear more. We aren't croached for more than two secs when out of no where we almost get trampled. It's too dark to see who it is ,but obviously the voice recognizes us because he teases,

"Maria. Alex. What are you too doing in the bushes? Alone. In the dark. Where no one can see you."

Great now everyone'S gonna think I'm a hedge ho. That's just great.
I really don't mean to be this better, but what can I say. It's been one hell of a day... and it just keeps a goin.

OOC Whoever wants to be guy in the bushes have at it. Kyle or another character maybe. If nobody wants it I can turn it into random joe blow from third period. I just want everyone to have the fun!

Everything seems to be a bit crazy, with Moria screaming. Her dad seems to be taking care of her as my dad tries to take control of the group. I hear him on the phone calling for more help and I bite my lip.

As much as I can easily see that this is now a 'situation,' and help is actually a good idea, I'm not happy about it. All I can think is this has become a police matter which mean all chance at any 'family time' is now completely shot. Not that I hadn't already figured that out...

Looking around I glance at the Evans tent, 'cause I know dad is probably doing the same thing. I see Mr. Evans come out, looking confused like everyone else. That's when I notice Maria pulling Alex into the bushes. Now this looks interesting...

I quietly move over there and ask, "Maria. Alex. What are you too doing in the bushes? Alone. In the dark. Where no one can see you?"

I know the two of them have been friends forever, but I thought they were involved with Michael and Isabel. I can't wait to hear what's going on...

*Maria*

"Oh Hi Kyle!" I choke trying to sound innocent ,but as usual looking guilty as ever.

Kyle wears an amused smirk on his face that I have the urge to smack off. Well, I am glad he finds us so entertaining. Ok Deluca! Time to come up with a brilliant beyond brilliant idea. What are we gonna tell him to leave us alone? I look to Alex for help, but he looks as stumped as I am. Ugh, I am like the worst liar in the world. No matter what comes out of my mouth is gonna sound false. I look around us for some kind of prop anywhere that I can say I lost, but I find nothing. So I do the safe thing I ask,

"What do you think we're doing?" Okay so not the cleaverest of my work,but I was pressed for time. We'll just work with whatever he accuses us of.

~Moira~

As Daniel carried me into the tent and set me down, I looked at him, knowing that what he was about to do was going to hurt like hell. "Do it." I said, clamping my teeth together. As Daniel took hold of my broken arm and set it in both places quickly I barely kept from screaming from the pain. Even as he placed a splint over it, I was hard put not to react. Damn, I'd forgotten what it was like to feel such pain. Since being a lycanthrope I had been harder to hurt.

When I could finally breathe properly and speak I looked at Daniel, "I think you'd better call Rip. These cops won't know how to handle the situation."

Daniel nodded, "I'll be back. You stay put and after this is over with, I'll let you join the pack so you can regenerate."

Leaving Moira to handle this on her own, I made my way out of the tent and away from the camp slightly as I pulled out my cell phone and called RPIT. The detective that answered was someone familiar to me, "Anne, this is Daniel. We have a situation out in Frazier woods. We are going to need flames, lots of them. Moira saw a large group of zombies heading toward campers from Roswell High."

"We'll have someone right on it. Can your pack slow them down and assist in protecting the innocents until we get there?"

"Mista's already given that order. Just hurry."

"Alright, be safe." As we hung up, I moved over toward the Sheriff who was finishing a call.

"Sheriff, I've dealt with these creatures before. We need to keep them from coming in here or it will be a blood bath. A friend of mine has wolves that she's trained to protect humans, so do me a favor and make certain that your men don't shoot them."

I felt bad about lying to the lawman, but now wasn't the time to explain about preternatual shit. "You are certain these wolves won't attack the humans or my men?"

"As long as they don't feel threatened by humans, these wolves will simply protect." I assured him. As if on cue, several howls split the air and he knew that the pack had begun taking on the skeletal enemies. "Get everyone gathered in a group near the back of the camp. I'll be out there trying to handle some of these things myself."

Without another word, I took off at a human paced run and removed the firearm that I'd had concealed along with the dagger. I knew I'd have to answer Valenti's questions about the weapons later if he noticed them, but for the moment, I didn't care.

~Isabel~

"I don't really have a full explanation myself, yet," Max tells me and i know that after my conversation with Alex, I should understand and yet a part of me can't help but be upset that he had gone against his word. I can't believe she's coming with us. "I think it has something to do with me healing her in September. She can't really control it yet."

The fact that she has powers doesn't really change things to my mind all that much at the moment. "She can't hold it," Max tries, using something that I'm sure he knew would convince me to hold back my temper.

"Hey, Liz, Glad you made it." I see Liz come up and Max talk to her.

“I’m glad too…” Liz responds as she nods and brushes her lips against his cheek. Okay, so when did this suddenly become an alright thing when he was supposed to have been staying away from her.

And why do I keep thinking that I wished Alex were here too.

Liz lifts up her hands with a smile and I look, expecting to see something different, but at the moment, I see nothing. “So far so good…I had a little bit of a scare a few minutes ago, but I think I got it…”

Suddenly, Liz is looking at me and says, “Look Isabel…I don’t want to be in the way, and I’m sorry if you don’t want me here…but if I can, I’d like to help…"

I simply shrug and mutter, "Whatever." Before turning so that I didn't have to think about saying anything else.

"We better get moving before anyone notices we're missing," Max says and I watch as he takes her hand.

Taking a deep breath, I simply turn and begin walking away heading the way that we are meant to go. "Just don't slow us down." I decide to say, knowing that it sounds cruel, but unable to help how I feel.

I sigh and start walking ahead, not caring how far behind they might end up being. I want to get this over with, get back and let Alex know that I'm alright and hope that whatever Moira was going on about, that he was safe back at the camp. The sound of wolf howls filled the air and I couldn't help but realize the sound came from where we were walking from.

*Kyle*

"I don't know," I tell Alex and Maria, shaking my head. "If I didn't know any better I'd think you were making out."

Imediately, I catch the look of shock on Maria's face but it's a bit dark to tell if she's blushing. Could that actually be the truth? All these years they've been best friends, they've now decided to be together?

"Or maybe you're planning some practical joke," I finish. That seems more likely to me. Maria never was one for following the rules and Alex clearly isn't a camper. Maybe he's here to set up some part of it... Like, an audio system. I don't remember hearing all these wolves around when we've camped in the past. "Did you set up a recording of spooky noise to try to freak everyone out?" I ask, waiting to see what they'll admit to. If this is all a trick and Moria actually got hurt because she was afraid of something that wasn't even real, my father is not going to be amused...

*Max*

I hurry after Isabel with Liz in hand. I know I still have a lot to explain to Isabel, but first we need to get away from here. We trudge along in silence for several minutes, working our way in the direction of the last week's sighting. I only hoped there'd still be something to see.

The wolf howls seemed to increase from the area behind us. I wondered if that were normal. It sure sounded like they were coming from pretty close to the camp...

"Oh Kyle, The cleverness of you! You are exactly right we were trying to pull off a practical joke, but we seemed to have broken a wire vital to our electronics. Um... Therefore It's not gonna work. Right Alex?"

I beg him to help me out. He knows I can't lie. Hell, I know I can't lie. Maybe Alex will be able to make the story sound more plausable.

“Whatever…”

Isabel doesn’t seem happy, but at least she isn’t out and out objecting at the moment…

“Just don’t slow us down…”

Of course there’s still time for that… I chew my lip a moment and nod. “I’ll do my best…”

I can’t help smiling again as Max slips his hand into mine though, it’s such a simple thing, so normal, and yet it feels so good… It doesn’t matter that we’re not talking as we make our way away from the camp…I know how Max feels, I know what we’ve said, and that’s enough…

Hearing yet more wolf howls, I can’t help looking round, even as we continue moving. It sounds as though they’re close…perhaps too close to the camp…

My concern regarding that it twofold… I don’t want Alex, Maria, my father or anyone else getting hurt, but also if something happens, I’ll bet anything our absences are going to be noticed a lot sooner than we would have hoped…

Still, there’s nothing we can do now, and for the moment I guess we just go on… I don’t know much about where the sighting was last week…somewhere in the woods, but I guess Max got something more specific from Milton.

Of course we don’t know what there will be to see…there might be nothing left, even if it were there originally…I guess we’ll just have to see…

The sound of a twig snapping, as it would if someone stepped on it, pulls me out of my thoughts, and I look up at Max sharply. It wasn’t any of the three of us…it was further away…up ahead…looks like we might have company…
