Prologue
Maxwell Evans walked into West Roswell High with a smirk on his face. Okay, I knew that this town wasn't that big, but this high school doesn't look so bad, he thought to himself as he turned his head towards some girls that were walking ahead of him. He was in his senior year in high school and he hoped to make this one his best year. His parents had moved to Roswell so they could be closer to their new firm; there was one a little ways out of Roswell and one in Clovis, which was about three hours away, so when they went to the Clovis one, he would obviously be by himself for the rest of the day, or however long they wished to stay.
They moved to Roswell from Chicago, Illinois and from Chicago to Roswell was a big difference, but Max didn't mind. He actually didn't mind the move; he had just broken up with his girlfriend of two years in Chicago, her name was Tess Harding and she was such a bitch, and it took him about a month before he moved to realize that when he had found out that she was cheating on him with his ‘best friend’ and when he had confronted her about it, she didn’t deny it or say she was sorry so he broke up with her; his friends were big jerks also, so he couldn't wait to move and have real friends hopefully and maybe, just maybe a real girlfriend who wasn't like Tess and would maybe fall in love with her.
