"What was that Chris? I'm not sure I caught that." Dad says on the phone.

I answer weakly, "I had a vision."

I know Dad is going to blow up. He's going to say why I didn't tell him that I've been having hem frenquently. I bet he'll even bring up the time Angel almost got beat up by some meat head jocks for messing with Sarah.

~MICHAEL~

Now I'm seeing red. Not only am I upset at Maria's badgering to talk to him and everyone else's hovering, but Chris' answer is so weak. I take a deep breath to remind myself of where I am and that I can't just blow up on him like I would if we weren't in public. "Ok, I'm counting to ten like your mother always advises and I'm taking deep breaths. Is someone dead, in prison, dying, kidnapped or in need of a trip to the hospital? And you had better answer me with the truth because I swear on your new car that if this ends up being a repeat of that episode with your brother and those jocks, I'm gonna pound some sense into that head of yours."

When I realize the words I've used, I blanch a bit. I never want to threaten my family with physical violence...punishment or not. My time with Hank taught me there are always other ways. Maria is the one who believes in corporal punishment, not me. I've never even raised my hand at one of them.

~Chris~

His words take me by suprise. Dad has never been the one to hit us, that was Mom's job.
"First off, you know that wasn't my fault. Angel was not supposed to be there in the first place. Angel and Sarah are fine, but I can't garuntee Leo will be in perfect condition," I reply in the same tone of voice as him.
He's probably suprised at my anger. Hell, I'm suprised at my anger.
I can hear Mom in the backround and with their bickering the situations bound to go from bad to worse in a heartbeat.

~Maria~

I'm worried as Michael is talking to Chris and yelling. I'm just asking for the phone waiting around.

Leo

She backs away more, looking sort of upset. Shit. Maybe she thought I was hesitant? I mean, it's just such a big question, we haven't been dating super long.

"What's wrong?" I look at her concerned, but then my thoughts are ripped away by a mental message.

"LEO! If you're listening out there, your parents and mine are at the school and you and Lor are in big trouble. Chris, Angel, and Sarah are skipping too. Send them a message if you can and let them know to expect a phone call from one of them!"

"Oh, Shit."

~MICHAEL~

My mouth drops open at Chris' tone. Ok, so maybe he is my son after all. "Chris, I'm about to leave this office to head home. If you aren't there in half an hour tops, with Angel, if he is with you, in tow, we're going to have a problem." Without waiting for his response, I hang up the phone and toss it at Roxie. "Get back to class," I order her. I then turn to my wife. "Maria, can you please just chill out for a minute. In case you missed it, I just threatened bodily harm to my son," I beg, shaking at the experience. If Hank hadn't already drilled it into my head that men don't cry, I would be in tears right now.

Looking back at Max, I say, "Chris says it's a..." I glance at Walters before settling on "a family thing." I give Max a look that speaks volumes as to what I mean.

~ROXIE~

I catch my phone automatically. Looking at my mom for permission to go back to class, she turns to Max for what he decides.

[Corina Star]

~Jake~

"I better get going," I say walking out the door.

~Max~

"We need to solve this and fast," I say.

~Chris~

Okay I have half an hour to get home. I don't want to get in trouble and I know disobeying Dad won't solve anything because it never does. He gave me a direct order and I know he's not in the mood for me to proove how stuborn I can be.

I swiftly turn the car around and think, 'Leo you better have a plan on how to calm dad down.' I think hoping he hears. No I'm not sure if they're even fighting.

~Maria~

"You better talk to him. You know how he can get when you two fight. Remember the football rally," I say.

I hear Max saying we need to solve this and I silently agree by nodding my head.

~ROXIE~

Sliding out the door after Jake, I rush out the door and hit redial on my phone, waiting for Chris to pick up.

~LIZ~

I watch Roxie and Jake slip out the door and sigh. There are too many of them and they're growing up too quickly. Flashing a smile at the principal, I tell the others, "Maybe we should take this discussion outside."

~MICHAEL~

Maria suggests I talk to him. What I really want is some sort of comfort from someone that I'm not Hank. I know that I want to believe that I'm not but I don't want to ever be confused with someone like him. Maria's bringing up the football rally doesn't help matters. It was the peprally right before the homecoming game when Chris was in his first year of high school. He kept disappearing instead of sticking with the family, which looking back wasn't horrible, but Maria was PMSing and upset that "her babies were growing up" and I hate to see Maria cry so I laid into him about sticking with the family and it turned into a huge fight. I don't remember exactly what I said but I do remember the look on his face at the end of it and that he did what I said...but not without looking lost and upset.

At Liz's suggestion, I nod. "Yeah, good idea. Thanks for the heads up, Walters. I'll make sure they stop in here first thing tomorrow morning for their punishment."

[Corina Star]

~Chris~

I pick up the phone. I answer with, "Do me a favor tell my dad I'll be home in 10 minutes."

I wahang up, not really caring who it is.

~Angel~

I hear the banter and argument between Chris and what sounds like Dad. The next thing I know, we're swurving in the oppisite direction of where we were heading and going home.
I look at Sarah letting her know that we're busted.

~Maria~

I look at Michael knowing he wants comfort.
"You're a better father than Hank could ever be, Michael. No matter how bad you and Chris fight. You shouldn't forget that. Chris looks up to you because you've been there for everything. You were the only one to get him to sleep when he was little," I remind Michael with a soothing hand on his shoulder.

"What's wrong?" I hear him say and I ignore his, "Oh, Shit."

"Whats wrong?" I say mimicking him, "Whats wrong. Well, let me think Leo. I ask you question, a big question a question that might have made me give myself to you, depending on the answer. And what do I get, I get a 'Of course I love you' with bit of hesitense in your voice. Hesitense! What do you think I'm some sort of freak and wouldn't have heard it. Well, I did. I did hear it!"
