Steve Irwin, Croc Hunter
Aussie icon Steve Irwin passed away late Monday morning while filming a documentary in Queensland. A stingray barb pierced his heart and he was rushed to hospital, but pronounced DOA.
While not loved by all, he will certainly be remembered by all, as websites and radio shows have been flooded by respondents, and flowers streaming in to the Australian Zoo where the Croc Hunter made his home.
He was 44 when he died, and one of a kind.

For some reason, at least for me I felt really, really sad and shocked, you see these famous people on TV all the time and it feels like you know them.
He just seemed like such a nice guy, and funny too.
I cant imagine what his wife and family must be feeling, it appeared that they were all very close.
This was just on AOL news, thought I'd share..

Irwin was at Batt Reef, off the remote coast of northeastern Queensland state, shooting a segment for a series called "Ocean's Deadliest" when he swam too close to one of the animals, which have a poisonous barb on their tails, his friend and colleague John Stainton said.
"He came on top of the stingray and the stingray's barb went up and into his chest and put a hole into his heart," said Stainton, who was on board Irwin's boat at the time.

This is so sad for animal lovers like me. He took us places that we would have never seen and came in contact with animals some of us have never heard of. I feel so sad for his wife and kids. The hurt the must feel. My thoughts go out to them. All I can say is that its a sad thing that he passed but he died doing what he loved.
