Authors note:
Hey! so originally when I got this idea about an hour ago, this was supposed to be a one parter but my plans have changed and I may have to make it a little longer… not that, that’s a bad thing right?

Declaimer:
I do not own any rights to roswell... The rights to the show belong to Jason Katims, the WB, etc.
Summary:
OK, so I basically got the idea from Tarzan even though I have never watched the movie and only know little facts about the story line. I thought it would be clever calling it Maxzan … get it Zan?

MAXZAN
Part One
The small jet plane crashed landing straight into the open water. How could anyone survive an incident like that?
The three passengers inside held their breaths moments before, waiting in fear as they saw their end coming near. Then nothing.
It all went black.
But for one person, one fragile, petite person on that plane- the end had come and left empty handed.
Liz Parker opens her eyes, unaware of her surroundings.
What had happened?
Where was she?
All these different questions entered her mind, but no answers. None that she could remember.
She slowly sat up, groaning in pain as she felt the ach shot through her spine.
Looking around her surroundings Liz sees the sparkling blue water, of the open ocean. The golden sand and the clear blue sky.
Thinking back hard, Liz closed her eyes seeking her memory to figure out what had happened.
The last thing that she remembered was being seated on her private jet plane, that was taking her back home, Miami.
She had just walked out of her job in Boston. She had nearly worked there for 3 years, being one of the best news reporters around.
She knew that something was wrong, she was never really happy there anyway.
But the last thread was when her boss had asked her to have an intimate relationship and had promised that it would not interfere in their work.
After 2 years of working for the man and thinking that she knew him and that he was a great person who has been happily married for 6 years, Liz was absolutely crushed to find out that the only reason they are happy is because his wife has no idea of what goes on in the office behind close doors.
Liz wouldn’t let him talk to her like that. She knew Jesse’s, her boss’s wife- Isabel.
Isabel was a great friend to Liz and had been since before Liz started working at the studio in Boston. In fact if it weren’t for Isabel Liz would have never gotten the opportunity to follow out her dreams.
Slipping out of her glaze Liz looks around again, seeing the tall trees brushing together and the cool waves, splashing to shore.
She remembered boarding the jet in a hurry.
In the plane there was only her, the pilot and the co-pilot.
Where were they now?
Searching the clear water Liz tries to see if she can find any sign of the plane. After spotting nothing she finally stands stretching her sore muscles.
She turns to the land in front of her and begins to walk forward into the jungle that awaits, away from the sandy beach.
Walking shakily through the jungle she turns to every sound, jumping a mile into the air, afraid of her own shadow.
She was alone.
She was alone in the jungle!
What kinds of animals would be there?
Surly she wouldn’t survive on her own- she thinks over and over again, that one single thought of survival haunting her.
This was like that Tom Hank’s movie, the one where he gets stranded on that island all alone and all the people back home waiting for him think his dead-
Oh god!
What if everyone thought she had died and didn’t bother to search for her?
What was she saying; Liz had no one waiting for her.
The only friend she had was Isabel and she was positive that Isabel couldn’t do anything to save her.
Poor Isabel had to save her self, from the horror that was her marriage.
As she continues to walk through the jungle getting more inland she sees more of the beautiful, and scary all at the same time, scenery.
Liz thinks of all the things she would change if she had the chance to get off of this island.
All the mistakes she had made in her life.
Look where they had lead her.
To the jungle-
Alone!
When she was 18 Liz had left her family, who loved her more than anything to go to university in New York wanting to try and make it big later on in her life.
She had left her friends.
She could still remember the looks on their faces when she had broken the news to them.
They were devastated.
All their lives they had promised each other that they would grow up together, go to the same high school- being in Roswell helped that, since there was only one high school in the whole town.
But the one promise she didn’t keep which she had always said she would is to stay and go to university together.
Even if they didn’t that wouldn’t matter that much but as long as they had kept in touch.
Which they didn’t.
After leaving, Liz never looked back on that part of her life. Michael and Maria were the only friends she had ever had.
Her parents owned this small alien themed café, which made her the laughing stock of her school.
Mr and Mrs Parker were always to busy to listen though, when Liz wanted to explain her feeling or just have someone to talk to. It felt like they never really noticed she was there with them until the day she had told them she was leaving.
Why would she want to remember something like that?
About a year ago she had tried to get in contact with Maria, she found her address and current phone number.
When she had called though she got the voice mail- it shocked her.
‘Hello, you’ve reached Maria and Michael Garuin’ Maria’s voice answered through the machine.
‘Michael and Maria Garuin’ Michaels voice then appeared and before she could leave a message she hanged up.
Her best friends in the whole wide worlds for most of her life, had gotten married.
They hadn’t told her.
The thing about that though, is that5 she didn’t blame them.
She blamed herself.
It was her fault that everything was like this; if she had stayed in contact with them she would be happy now.
She wouldn’t feel like she is alone.
She would have her family.
After what happened in the office earlier today with Jesse, Liz had made a choice.
She was going home.
There was no way she could stay in Boston any longer.
Before she had her job at least which helped her stay calm and occupied but now she had no reason to stay.
She could go.
She felt awful for leaving Isabel, but believed deep down inside that they would meet again and that when they did she would see a new Isabel.
One that wasn’t tied down by her husband, one that made her own decisions and wasn’t going to let anyone walk all over her.
And now she was here.
On this island.
Feeling tired and exhausted Liz stopped walking, she sat down near a tall tree leaning her back against it and slowly allowing her eyes to flutter shut.
She didn’t want to be here alone.
That thought scared her.
But then again the thought of someone being here on this island with her scared her more than someone not.
Liz suddenly shot up of the tree when she heard movement coming from the bushes across from her.
Following the movement with her eyes as it came closer and closer she held her breath, frightened with the sight she was going to see.
Frightened that she did not know what came next.
“Who’s there?” She screams, her eyes quickly landing on a think stick lying on the ground next to her feeling.
She picked it up and held it tightly with both of her hands, clutching it to her chest for protection.
“I have a stick and I’m not afraid to use it!” she yells as a figure emerges from the bushes.
She lets out the breath she was holding, as a sigh escapes her lips.
Standing in front of her, staring at her with the most intense eyes she had ever seen, was a gorgeous man.
