Antar

Antar is a rich planet in terms of minerals, land, productively, and commercial status. It is lush with vegetation, fauna, flowing rivers, deep seas, high mountains; the landscape varies from grasslands and forests, to deserts and jungles. Antar leads the Federation of the Five Planets, sitting at the head in council chambers.

There are three moons that revolve about Antar; each in their own elliptical orbit.
Illos, the lesser of the three
Jarthan, also referred to as the Shadow Moon
Olsac, the largest

The planet referred to as Antar today was not the original Antar. That planet, now called D’warth (Warrior’s Blood) also referred to as Place of Sadness, decimated through a series of natural and manmade events became inhabitable by the age of Atarh. Atarh was the great warrior who moved the populace to the present location after subduing the indigenous population.

The Ages of Antar

There are 57 ages of Antar expressing it’s birth as a planet, to the creation of life, and the exploration of the universe,

By the forty-eighth age , Antar had spread it’s seed to the four corners of the known universe, were they became guardians of the stars, planets, and life contained there within.

The forty-ninth age saw the destruction of the original Antar home to the Royals and the fiftieth the enslavement of present Antar by the Royals.

The House of Rath, a power warring faction that brought peace, stability, and great wealth to Antar, controlled the next ages; each began as golden only to fall. The first was the age of Atarh, when that age fell it was the rebirth of Suliuluma that broke back the greatness. This age to also fell after many generations. The Fourth age of Atarh resulted in his rebirth as Prythric. Finally, the House of Rath relinquished it hold on Antar to the House of Thardan, which ushered in the fifty-sixth age due to the Age of Uthrox.

Before Ki’var, Antar was in the fifty-seventh age the last age before slavery, ignorance, and greed replaced the House of Thardan.

The fifty-eighth and last age of Antar is now the present, the long fulfillment of the prophecy, when two become one, when the King becomes the Warrior and the Warrior becomes the King, when Houses of Rath and Thardan are no longer two.

Atarh

The first in a long line of the Majestic Kings of Antar. His birth was prophesied as the one that would bring the people into the land of freedom and prosperity. When the Emperor of the now defunct Star Alliance learned of the prophecy he ordered, in three of the old worlds, all male child killed that fit the description as given by the seers. Atarh mother, sister of the King of Antar (the original) fled when she discovered she was pregnant by man from alien race as described by the seers and gave birth to the child in a cave. The seers who look for the prophet discovered Atarh and brought him to reign as King, eventually replacing the Emperor and the Star Alliance.

Atarh is a fierce warrior, the first of the Kandahar line; his hybrid status gave him unfathomable powers as was never seen before. He traveled much of the known galaxies in search f a new home for Antar. During his travels, he takes an alien wife and creates the famous Palace of the Silver Rose for her namesake, an alien flower that was also brought back to the new Antar.

Atarh was well known for his long blond hair that flowed loosely on battles and his liquid silver eyes, both trademarks of the original Antarian race. He was tall, with the broad shoulders and narrow hips of a warrior, a hunter of evil and injustice. He was a strong in body and fair just and in mind. He had a sense of duty to his country that was unrivaled and earned him the love of his subjects.

His union with his alien wife begins the House of Rath who will dominate Antar and the Five Planets for thousands of years.

Before his death, he subdues the other four planets, putting a son, from a union with a female in each of the leading royal houses of those planets, as King. Intermarriage between the five royal houses is instilled as a method to insure loyalty to the House of Rath and the King of Antar.

When he dies, his DNA is kept, and when Antar comes upon hard time, war, strife, or demoralization, he is recreated in a new form. These re-creations become known as the Majestic Kings of Antar, the last re-creation was of Uthrox, who was nefarious, causing the re-creations to be banned by the council of the Five Planets. The DNA, thought to have been destroyed. was kept by the Kandahar Warriors and used once again in the creation of Zan and Rath in secret.

King Adair

The father of Zan and Vilandra, King Adair was a fair and just ruler who was loved by his people. His reign came in a time of great strife and he dedicated much of his life to making Antar a better world for his people. His father was King Horamtheb a great military ruler who squelched the wars with the distant enemies known as the Orlithions. His mother was Queen Piera of the House of Rath, known for her great beauty and refined singing ability.

King Adair was a fine specimen of an Antarian male. He had the coal black eyes from his father that flashed fire when excited or angered. His voice, when angered, has been known to freeze an attacking army, yet he could be the gentlest of men when it came to his wife or children. He was tall, with well-defined muscular structure. His complexion was slightly tanned, his face was noble looking with a strong jaw line and high cheek bones. His hair was coal black like that of a raven, in the sunlight hues of iridescent blue and silver would sparkle.

He and King Pondather were raised together as children, and it is rumored around the castle walls that the two are confidents of each other. King Adair did not marry until late in life, his first wife Queen Notha of the house Zathan. She died after three years of marriage from complication in childbirth. It would be another forty years before he took another wife, pressured by the council for an heir. This time he married Noraya of the House of Paruth. After only a couple years of marriage, she produced a son Zandanathar. Six months after his birth Noraya was killed in a tragic accident. He then married Elsiya of the House of Sathen. From this marriage Vilandra was born.

King Pondather

The father of TellymonRath. His father was King Athque of the House of Rath, brother to Queen Piera, mother of King Adair. His mother was Eirene of the House of Thardan first cousin to King Horamtheb, father of Adair.

King Pondather is a warrior in the old sense. He refused to lead the armies of Antar as their Commander, as Adair wished him to, seeing it more of a given position than of a challenge. Instead, he concentrated on making Kandahar the mightiest of all the armies, exceeding even the Imperial and Royal armies of Antar in skill, perseverance, and sheer size and technology. In war, the Khaddar Warriors always support Antar and the King, yet they are independent and remain loyal only to the King of Kandahar, referred to as the Warrior King.

He is a hard man, very stern in his demeanor; a disciplined soldier even in his home, his face at the Royal Court is always stoic and unreadable. He is vastly loyal to Adair, spurring the rumors that they are confidents, a fact that was never denied or confirmed by either Adair or Pondather.

Pondather is the last of the pure bloodlines from Atarh; he still carries the trademark platinum blond hair and silver eyes. He is of fair complexion, with an aquiline nose, strong chin and jaw, the marks of a noble family. He usually dresses in black with silver as the highlight, the colors of the House of Rath.

Pondather also waited to marry until late in life, his wife was Queen Olathia, of the House of Paruth, she being the second cousin to Queen Noraya, Adair’s wife. From this marriage was born four sons (Trusein, Lanistan, Certis, and Soard) and a daughter (Tellydine).

The House of Rath is plagued by a series of terrible misfortunes starting with the death of Olathia in a terrible accident, which also claimed the life of her cousin Noraya and two of her children, Lanistan and Soard.

Pondather does not remarry for years finally marrying the cousin and her only living relative of Queen Elysia, Sabura, of the House of Jaffram. This marriage produced the son TellymonRath.

Throne of Antar

Antar for centuries ruled by the House of Rath, as established by Atarh and named after his son ZandoRath. That is until the Age of Uthrox when a dual Kingship was established between the House of Rath and the House of Thardan, who traces it ancestry back to the daughter of Atarh, sister to ZandoRath, Sabariath, named after her husband Thardan.

Then in the fifty-sixth age of Antar, The House of Rath gave up ownership of the Throne of Antar, beginning the spiral downward to eventual war and the destruction of both houses that Ki’var brought on.

Because of the importance, monetarily, politically, and culturally The Kingdom of Kandahar retained it’s status as a kingdom although it no longer has borders to cal it own, the name though intangible is cemented into the culture of Antar.

Today the entire planet is under the Kingdom of Antar.

Kingdom of Kandahar

Kandahar was the name of the Kingdom that Atarh came from on the original Antar. Today the Kingdom of Kandahar is but a name only as they longer have borders to guard. Yet the House of Rath still personally owns almost a quarter of Antar and it is said that the vaults below the Water Palace on D’warth are full of riches and the wealth of Kandahar far exceeds anything Antar has.

It is for certain that the military is paramount, recently due to the influence of King Pondather. It would be his son TellymonRath who would show the ultimate power and strength of Kandahar when he commissioned the ‘Ulysses’ to be build. The Ulysses is an interplanetary war machine that far exceeds anything in the known galaxy. It has the ability to hold up top 56,000 soldiers for 15 years at a time in deep space. It is a massive command center far exceeding weapons and technology available at it’s time. The best part is that it is the personal war toy of TellymonRath.

Kandahar became a wealthy military and financial institution apart from the Kingdom of Antar due to its protective services offered. The Warriors for centuries would escort interplanetary vehicles carrying passengers or medical and food supplies. They were paid very well as a great deal of space is open territory for bandits and terrorists.

The Kandahar Warriors

The original Antar now called D’warth became the home for a vast number of interesting characters that left their own worlds for one reason or another, due mainly to disagreements with the local authorities. These men formed the original Kandahar warriors and over the centuries, their ranks have swelled incorporating honest men into their ranks as well. They are famous for their unique style of warfare, low use of technology in their lives, and their steadfast loyalty to their King.

Their description would be diverse and varied, as they represent several species, although the vast percentages are from Antar itself. Despite their racial differences, most have adopted the same cultural background; the best description would be that of the Old Norse society. They are a rough, somewhat barbaric in war as well as in their everyday lives, brutish in actions but have mild temperament in their home lives.

They have a great love for longhair as a mark of wealth for a woman and virility for a male, the rich use of furs and natural fibers, and a passion for big bold statements in using wood and intricate carvings when it comes to houses.

They follow the way of the Ancients and are monotheistic in their belief systems.

Their life is hard and they enjoy the challenge of living day to day without the advantages that their abilities can create.

Not only are some of the finest warriors from Kandahar, but also Antar’s greatest poets and artisans.

Kandahar males are sought after as potential mates because of their loyalty to their wives, their honesty, and natural good nature towards women.

Shadow Warriors

Shadow Warriors whose stories of metaphysical, visionary, and mythological powers are widely told among royals and commoners alike, are a mysterious cult that has isolated themselves from all outside contact and technology. What little information known about them has been gleamed from legends handed down over the generations.

The Shadow Warriors were based on an ancient religious order whose origins are lost in time. Throughout the centuries, much of the religious status has been lost replaced by a militaristic order. A proper Shadow Warrior is taught those warriors who fall on the side of the ‘pure state’ are creatures against the darkness and disruption that is caused by those Warriors who followed the path of destruction and evil using their gifts for their own attainment of power and greatness.

The shadow warriors come from all occupations and from each of the five worlds. A warrior may be male or female; many dedicated their lives to the order while others only study for a year or two. They are recognizable due to their attire of all black, tight fitting pants and boots, a black cape with their hoods usually concealing their faces.

A Shadow Warrior must be merciful yet fearless in their attacks, affable without treachery, compassionate towards the suffering, and open handed. The warrior must be ready to help the needy and to confound evil, a just judge without favor or hatred. He must prefer death to dishonor. While they are in the service of the Shadow Moon Temple, they pledge their lives to the Throne of Antar in protecting the Crown.

While the Shadow Warriors only will defend Antar, they are not control by Antar or any of the other worlds or councils. They had their own hierarchy for governmental, military, and religious decisions within their walls.

A Shadow warrior is a tough life; he is required to train daily and to fight at a young age. His pace s a tough one, expected to sacrifice, be humble, and fearless when called upon for war. A warrior is trained to fight with his hands as well as his natural abilities.

There are three classes of Shadow Warriors:

The first is that of the basic student. The noble families and those of lower classes that can afford the tuition, send their sons and daughters to be educated in one of four Shadow Moon temples. The students are trained in military strategy, the history of warfare, defense and attack modes as well as leadership training and organizational skills.

Shadow Master

Many choose to stay and follow the ways of the Ancients, practicing the old religion and the ways of the forefathers. Some stay as warriors’ never progressing above that rank.

Others continue their training to become Masters. No one knows or can name all the Shadow Warriors or Masters, let alone count their number, for most choose to stay faceless for life under the black hoods. Most Shadow Masters take on an alternative name.

There are the stories of metaphysical, visionary, and mythological powers that the masters are said to possess. Some rank very high in the order and are marked by a hawk tattoo that stretches from one shoulder to the next. It is very rare and few if any in modern Antar possess such a mark.

Assass’inay

The Assass’inay a Shadow Master that is trained in the Dark Waters as the ultimate warrior. The origins of the Assass’inay are uncertain; it is only known that they have been around since time immortal. The last known assassinay died hundreds of years ago.

There are rumors that some Assass’inay still exists, and those masters, in secret, achieve the ancient forbidden status of ‘assassinay’, those who learn the ways of the Dark Waters: how to control minds, how to kill with a single thought, even how to rip the very fabric of time and space.

Ruthless and stealthy, the Assass’inay were skilled in the use of fear and violence on the battlefield, their ability to control minds for political manipulation and for the fanatical, suicidal fevered pitch that terrorized the moral and ethical structure of the enemy in the heat of battle.

It was told that some Assass’inay were mind conditioned to wait years for an order to strike. Members of the sect used only daggers, adding a ritual mystique to their work. The loyalty of the Assassins was legendary, and even suicidal in its intensity. They were banned by the council of Antar 500 years ago out of fear of their power.
